Hey guys! So I'm Gooblefly, also known as Luke, and I'm looking for some of you lovely folks to RP with! I've been absent from the site for a while, real life very much got in the way of pretty much everything, but now I'm back and I am itching to RP. Uh, I guess I'll start with a bit about me and my Rping habits.
- So, first of all, I am a guy and therefore my male characters are often better. That being said, I do want to practice female characters, so when it comes to the gender of my characters, ultimately I don't really mind which!
- I'm 21, so mature content is okay with me. By that, I mean that I'm okay not fading to black, but when it comes to darker tones like abuse and the like, I'd really rather not. Of course, I'm also totally okay fading to black if that's what you prefer, don't feel like just 'cause I said that I'm automatically wanting to delve into the raunchier stuff. However, I do prefer to Rp with people close to my own age, regardless of content.
- I'm Scottish, so UK time zones. Ultimately this means I usually only manage one post a day with people from different time zones, but depending on where you are, I check the site multiple times a day and if I see that it's my turn to reply, I will usually start writing stuff there and then. However, I'm also a Uni student, so there may be days where studying takes priority. Ultimately, know I try to reply once a day min. but it isn't always possible,
- I write at a low-mid casual standard, pretty good punctuation and spelling (although I tend to write when I'm quite sleepy so I am prone to making mistakes) and would like a similar standard from any partner. Usually I'll write at least a paragraph, but I have to be pretty stuck to not write more than that. I more often than not try to match the amount my partner writes.
- I like my 1x1s to involve some degree of romance, but not so much that it devours the plot. Having a couple helps add to the writing, but that is by no means the entirety of the story. Ultimately, I'd like some romance aspect to any story, but I don't want it to entirely focus on it, I just like it being there. I personally am bisexual, so I'm okay with MxM/FxF and anywhere in between.
- Lastly, I only play original characters. I know some people enjoy playing canonical characters, but that stuff just doesn't interest me in the slightest.
Anyway, there are only a few things that I'm craving, but ultimately I just like RPing. If you have a plot that you've wanted to RP for a while, please feel free to PM it to me and if I'm interested I'd be happy to RP that with you. I list the things I know I want to do, but that doesn't mean there aren't things I don't know I want to do... If that makes any sense.
Aaaanyway, the things I really want to RP are
- Beginner Pokemon RP - I don't know what it is, but I always enjoy Pokemon RPs. I would really like to RP something where we both play beginner trainers starting off around the same time and we just travel together. It's simple but always charming and really fun!
- Superheroes - I'm pretty into superheroes, but not 'Look at me I'm super awesome and able to do anything' supers. I like proper hero development, so edgy backstories and violent super fights. My idea for this is that one of us plays a Suicide-Squad-esque villain forced to be good, and the other plays a washed up hero placed in charge of them.
- Yu-Gi-Oh - Because I'm trash. I've been a Yu-Gi-Oh player my whole life, and I've been really into the anime recently. I was thinking of setting it in a GX kinda setting, so a dueling school. It seems like the easiest situation to have random events happen and somehow formulate a story around children's card games.
- Harvest Moon - Because farming is relaxing as feck. So, the plot would be something along the lines of character one has inherited a farm from a family member and has moved to an isolated town with no idea how to actually run the place. Their only saving grace is the neighbour, character two, an experienced rancher. Of course details are open to change and I'm also open to the idea of mixing this plot with Pokemon elements, I've done it before and it was really great.
