It has been over a year in All-Star Marvel and I'm still waiting for the X-Men to take off (this is by no means a plug...trust me ).

Is it that the X-Men have to be a team and everything they do needs to be a collaboration (which in turn can become bogged down and cause people to lose interest)?

Outside of actual X-Men RPs, I've never seen enough of them played for it to be an issue. Which is sad.

I collabed with Drew in ASM1 as the X-Men and it was a chore (and Xavier's player vanished) for a lot of reasons -- it isn't just collabing. I think ASM's problem is similar to one Maximum had in that Drew plays like 4+ characters and a lot depends on someone who one player who has to wait around for.

I find there to be a distinct lack of cosmic characters being played. I wish to rectify this but don't know what character to pick.

I actually think the lack of cosmic characters isn't such a bad thing. You have a much better chance of interaction/collaboration playing an Earth-bound character than you do floating around the emptiness of Space.

Yeah, I’m definitely at my best interacting rather than soaring alone in the universe, not sure about Facepunch though.

I suppose that's all true. But the potential stories floating around in the endless void...*Swoons*

If I did go through with it, I'd choose someone like one of the Novas or an earthbound lantern. That way I can keep the character on earth but still enjoy the vastness of space.
