@Demonic Angel@Framing A Moose@KatherinWinterHaving turned in her paper without another word to the gray bastard, Evelyn couldn't leave the classroom any sooner after classes had let out. A deadly, vengeful glare she cast to the pirate and his bitch of a mistress snidely snickering aside, before pushing past them into the hallway and out the door into the gleaming sunlight of the day.
"Tch. Pointless..." She muttered to herself jerking the hood of her jacket over her head to shield her from the damning rays, storming off down the sidewalk. To Hell with this day; she was just gonna skip the rest of these pathetic classes.
Walking along, she slipped in her earbuds, turning the volume up on her music player. The soothing, baritone
voice of Corey Taylor filled her ears and soothed her already torn and twisted nerves, a sigh inching past her parted lips as her eyes, once glowing like embers of damnation, now cooled into a demure, dim shade. The sun...as always no warmth felt from it, not even from the jacket wrapped around her. Cold...that is all Evelyn felt, cold and empty, even with the infernal heart of a demon and a dragon beating within her flesh.
Like splinters, tiny slivers of ice piercing her inside each breath that she drew, until she decided to rest beneath the dark shadows of a towering oak in the midst of the school grounds, just closing her eyes and taking in the music. So many thoughts, random ponderings, but one that stuck out the most....is what she had scrawled on the back of her essay, a question, not just for that cantankerous wizard Merlin, but....for all.
"What does it mean to be normal?"
