Oh, speaking of missing stuff, I should probably mention that I'm going up to a friend's cabin for the weekend, so I'm not going to be back around until then. I will try and get together one more post before I go, though.

Well just so you know, Mai isn't a clone of anyone. For a spoiler, she is the daughter of an ace framework pilot. It was one of the plot devices that I spoke to Ariamis about in the previous "Hearts of Metal". Her special powers were also there too.

Funnily enough, once again Sigma is (technically) a daughter of an ace, aswell. Also a plot device in End of Days (which by the way, is the previous incarnation of Hearts of Metal).

...I just wanted to warn you that if you were looking for the niche of the stoic child pilot soldier with the mysterious air and connections to the brass, sadly, that was taken before you submitted that.

Yeah I just saw that. I'm just shocked that Ariamis didn't metion it...well I could make Mai into a deadly rival but I doubt Ariamis want's anyone playing a "bad guy" sort.

I assumed you read the character tab alongside the IC. There is already a rival character in the form of Irina Spanova, and the enemy side doesn't have sentient human components to it, so a deadly rival is unfortunately out of the question.

Heh. Even so, creative thinking.

Originally, Mai's mother was simply going to be a random NPC called "Maria "Angel" Twilight". During the early parts of the war, she was one of a handful of pilots that achieved 100% perfect synchro as well as a special power. I could elaborate more but it's a bit of a spoiler that I want to clear with Ariamis first. I did briefly talk to him about it in the other RP but things didn't get that far for me to introduce it into that RP.
