Yo, @Ariamis, would you mind if I added something to Serah? I was thinking that maybe she was being educated as a mechanic at first, but then they discovered she had a gift for synchronizing with Framewerks and thus sent her off to train for that instead. She'd always done some mechanic work on the side, though, so she's at least decently good at that.
I finally got my CS done, I kinda feel like life was trying to stop me finishing it. Anyway I hope it's alright.
Name: Ekaterina (Katya) Ozerova Romanovna
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Experience: 74%
Synchronization Rate: 65%
Personality: Quite an almost stoic tends to be the first impression many people get when they see Katya. Who would rather keep to herself might bite someones head off if they intact with her. But this is merely a front that slowly fades as one interacts with her. Giving way to driven, friendly and caring personalty. She is slow to call people he friend or comrade but will gladly talk someones ear off provided it a topic she deems interesting even if it someone she doesn't really like.
She is a very laid back person and it takes a lot to get her annoyed or worked up over something. Even if she dose get annoyed or worked up Katya tries her best not show her emotional state. Preferring to deal with it when she is by herself. If she not given this chance she tends to keep things buried until she explodes. She is big on helping those she likes or respects and will normally quickly offer what help she can.
Katya is what the others on her world call an poster she grew up in one of the many mining outposts that dotted Kormm's hot never ending desert. Expected to send a good part of her life deep underground mining the vast mineral wealth the planet offered. Form a young age her parents taught her the need to not be wasteful of food and water. Two thing that where always in high demand but barely had barely enough for everyone. Eat whatever she was given even if it wasn't nice and make sure to drink only clear water and never more then she needed. Despite this Katya rarely had to worry about not getting enough food or drink and had a fairly enjoyable and normal childhood. Her only complaint was she didn't see a lot of her father who was a career solider and was often posted off world. But when she did see him she spent as much time with him as she possibility could. Most of that time was spent listening to him tell stories about the places he had been to and the interesting things he had seen. Even if that was sometimes a Cruxi weapon of war, used to wipe out his bothers in arms.
When her father was off deployed somewhere Katya sent most of her free time with her older sister, the two forever getting into mischief. When the news hit about her father being killed it hit Katya and her sister very hard and the new prompted her sister to join the military next time a recruiter came though their outpost. After her sister left Katya lost touch with her sister Katya only being 13 at the time so wasn't able to go with her when she departed for the military space station that hung in orbit over Kormm. Katya spending many night looking up at it though a telescope. With her sister gone Katya became quite depressed it was only several months after her sister departure did she start to perk up again, when her mother got her a pet insect call a Scuttle. A common creature on her world the severed a wide verity of proposes. In this case it served as a distraction for Katya having to make sure she kept the insect feed and watered not to mention training it took up a lot of her free time. Leaving her little time to think about her sister or her father.
It was only when she hit 17 making her old enough to start working did Katya really pay either of them any major thought. Now legally allowed to work in the mines Katya found herself being pushed to join a mining crew. But the more she was pushed the more Katya thought the life of digging for ore wasn't for her. The young woman recalling the many stories her father had told of the things he had seen. As child she had always wanted to see those things for herself but had no way of doing so. Knowing she couldn't afford to leave her world on her own her only option was to join a the military. Something she hadn't really hadn't given much thought to. But now it seemed like it was her only way out of a life she didn't want. But the decision was not one to made lightly after all with a war on there was a good chance she could be killed, but then again if half her fathers stories about the Cruix where true it there was a chance she'd die regardless if they reached her world. At least in the military if her time came she'd have a chance to go down fighting.
She explained everything to her mother who immediately told her it was a bad idea and spent most of the night trying to convince her daughter that leaving would be a huge mistake. Sadly for Katya's mother her words only seemed to give her more reason to leave. It wasn't long after that a military recruiter came thought the outpost and Katya signed up npw determined to see life beyond her small mining outpost and to escape it. She didn't want to spend her life digging into earth only to stop to have a child only wanting to go back to digging again. No she wanted more, she had heard form her father people lived differently and she wanted to see that for herself and if that meant fighting then so be it. She had no love for the aliens the killed her father and if it meant in some small way she kept her mother safe then all the better. Anything had to beat a life spent mostly under ground.
Short after signing up she packed up her things said goodbye to her mother. Before boarding a transport bond for Kormms capital city then transport bound for the orbital station. There a new chapter in life her would being.
Notable Deaths: Father: Alexander Romanovna a Framewerk pilot killed in battle against the Cruxi on a planet named Eos.
Older Sister: Natasha Romanovna a crewman cruiser called the Erebron. Killed in the destruction of the ship along with rest of the crew. Katya is unaware her older sister is dead as the ship is officially listed as MIA.
Other things: If there is anything else you believe needs sharing, do so here.
Framewerk Code Name: XVT/03 Caretaker
Number of Framewerk Systems:Primary: 1 Secondary: 1
Signature Weapon System:Eden Repair Drones (Eden): Small spider like drones housed and maintained within Caretaker. Each drone is equipped with numerous number of tools that are used to identify damage and preform repairs on verity of equipment on the battle field. For the drones to deploy close proximity to Caretaker is preferred and is required unless a desired target is marked. Once deployed the drones can operate autonomously. Simply repairing whatever damage the find until recalled, the drone exhausts its energy supply or runs out of things to repair/ is unable to repair damaged systems any further. The drones are able to operate more efficiently if Caretaker can stay in close proximity to whatever they are working on. Having access to a central control node which can process data form them faster and direct them repair certain systems instead of repairing whatever damage they happen to find. It also allows multiple drones to work on the one system. When under control by the central node the drones make clicking noises as the control node and the drones communicate.
The drones can also be used to dismantle things if given enough time and Caretaker remains close by. In a pinch the drones can be used for a one off offensive use by overloading the power supply causing them to explode.
Caretaker carry's 6 Eden drones housed at the rear of the mech.
Secondary Weapon System: Marker Light: An experimental laser rifle that is capable of firing a non damaging shot leaving a radioactive marker on whatever it's hits Making it easier for marked target to be detected for a limited amount of time. Caretakers EDEN Drones also can home in on marked targets. Which allows Caretaker to deploy them without getting close. The rifle is best suited for mid-short range combat.
(How long the Marker last I'll leave up to the GM)
@Evil Snowman So you are planning on using a mech with little to none offensive ability? I thought I misread the sheet for a second there when I didn't find any text related to the rifle in the picture. A risky prospect, but if you're fine with that, then sure. Accepted.

Um... isn't she one of the pilots with best overall stats, too?
@Ariamis I'm aiming to fill a more supporting rolling. In the group but now that you mention it. I've reworked Marker Light to be the rifle. Provided you find the minor alteration okay I'll run with that.

So question, in addition to our built in systems, will we have "normal" weaponry too that can change from mission to mission? Like mech sized machineguns and such.
So question, in addition to our built in systems, will we have "normal" weaponry too that can change from mission to mission? Like mech sized machineguns and such.
I can answer this one, hope @Ariamis doesn't get too mad at me for doing so.
Short answer, no. Long answer: Gear is made on a framewerk-by-framewerk basis, and these particular things aren't at a stage where it's easy to mass-produce. The weapons on the framewerk itself ARE your normal weapons, because each is supposed to function differently. Atty's blade for example is welded into it, so it's be incredibly awkward not to mention inaccurate to mount a machinegun on it. The closest thing you'd get would be a mass-produced framewerk with a 'Standard' weapon built in, as it would be the only model that could use those things.
In terms of PILOTS though, now that I am curious about myself.
Weapon systems, as with any piece of tech, can be theoretically swapped even if they are built in. However, due to the unique quality of the Framewerks created for the Project, this would be an emergency measure, as removing a limb from them and replacing it with another or even changing the handheld weapon it was originally constructed to use results in a loss of synchronization for the Frame.
Pilot Sheet Name: Zim Hero, Nickname is Zero. Appearance: Hero stand a diminutive 4'9", but is built like a fortress. His body has been tempered towards high gravity situations, perhaps this is part of the reason that he is so short. High gravity planets, tending to stay hotter on average then most other planets, Hero keeps his head shaved habitually. When the stubble does begin to show through, it grows in pitch black, just as his dark unkempt eyebrows project. Below these black lines are piercing ice-blue eyes. The high gravity life he has lived thus far has made his bone structure extremely dense, giving him and anyone else from his home planet a much stronger frame, and his muscles are also just as compressed, giving way to much higher definition of his anatomy. From sunken eye sockets, to raised cheekbones, and a prominently dimpled chin, Hero has an otherwise chiseled complexion.
On his right shoulder is a tattoo of a black star, an un-tattooed line flies through it, giving the viewer an impression that it is meant to be a falling star. Otherwise his body is riddled with scars from his hard life and his previous encounter with the Cruxi. There is a burn on his left hand that has permanently left his otherwise pale skin a deep red. The burn encompasses his entire hand and runs raggedly up to his elbow. On the right side of his chest there is a scar from a puncture wound, with a matching scar on his back were the impaling spike exited his body.
Gender: Male Age: 25 Experience: 79% Synchronization Rate: 36% Personality: Hero is a relatively level headed individual, the hard life on his home planet left little joy in him. He is serious in all things that he does, and has little patience for stupidity, naivety, ignorance or arrogance. He is, however, very respectful to everybody he meets unless you have made a particular effort to cross him. The closest thing to humor for Hero is sarcasm, but it is generally intended as an underhanded insult. The Cruxi are about the only thing that he shows an overly aggressive personality towards. Background: Hero comes from a planet that is known as Fortress. The planet's upper atmosphere was unique in that it reflected much of the heat away from the planet despite its close proximity to the systems star, putting it much closer in comparison to what is generally considered the 'Hospitable zone.' In addition to this, the planet is surrounded by debris from a long destroyed moon, making approach from outside rather difficult. It did not take long before this debris field was rigged up to be controled to make entrance and exit easier when needed or nearly impossible when needed, valuable resources have long since been mined from the debris field, and synthetic weapons platforms have replaced many of the debris that have been destroyed or mined out of usefullness. Despite protection from above, life on this high gravity planet was harsh, the heat made it very difficult for most fauna to florish on the planet surface. Most of the food from the planet comes from synthetic sources, or is removed from subterrainian growth veins. At twenty he moved off planet with an exploration and settlement team and found himself on a planet near the outer ring of planets. The planet hardly had a name before the Cruxi came. When they did, they didn't just destroy the settlements to reclaim the world for their own, rather they destroyed the entire planet itself. Hero was lucky in that he was on a topigraphical scan at the moment from a satilite oribter. Debris from the planet made the orbiter unusable, including a large piece of debris from another satilite orbiter punctured the cabin and impaled Hero. It was due to the self-sealing nature of his space suit that he survived. It sealed the suit against the vacuum, and sealed the jagged pole into Heros skin, stopping the bleeding. The force kept him moving through space for three days before his pod was found by a merchant freighter and transported him to the nearest planet. Notable Deaths: His family all remained back home on Fortress, and his personality made making friends difficult. However the person he was closest too, he quietly reveared as his brother. His name was Fleck Jawstone and was a ship navigator on the expidition ship that brought him to the new planet. Hero regrets not being more open with him.
Framewerk Code Name: Black Star Appearance: http://gundambuilder.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/img-ms-gundam-deathscythe-hell.jpg Number of Framewerk Systems: 1 primary, 1 secondary. Signature Weapon System: Thermal Scythe. The Thermal scythe has a pair of super heated blades that can be deployed when activated and can be turned to face different directions or point straight out of the staff like a spear head. This puts the black star in a relatively close combat position, but gives him reach over most other melee combat frameworks. Secondary Weapon System: Armor Wings. A set of armor wings that fold out of the way during combat for easier maneuverability, or fold down and add an extra layer of protection during blitz maneuvers to break through front lines. Weight Class: Medium weight. Other than the armor wings adding much heavier armor, the Black Star is relatively lightly armored for faster maneuverability in combat. Special Ability:
@Mr Rage That's an amusing choice of name for the pilot. The scythe-like energy weapon will be very cumbersome and difficult to use considering the pilot's very low synchro, even with the compensating experience. However, if you don't mind missing most of the time then it's accepted.
So I have a few ideas for things I could use for my suit, but before I choose, I'd like to make sure my concept of how well my guy does is correct. I have 31% EXP and 63% Base Synch. That means right now, I suck at the mechanics of moving the robot, but I'll have an easier time learning how to move it? Or what?
@Dragoknighte In general, you have a chance of making mistakes, but your sync is high enough to not lag or cause you to lose control. It's barely under average as far as Framewerk handling goes.
I just noticed our strange trend so far, with all the female characters so far being younger than the male characters. A bit odd, if I say so myself.
I'm trying to think up something different for my own mech, which is why it's kinda taking me a while. But I am getting close (which isn't hard because much of my sheet is just a reprise from the old RP), so stay tuned.
EDIT: And here it is:
-PILOT-
"I'm still alive, and I can still fight. Shouldn't that be all that matters, at this point?"
Name: Lora Shinkai
(obviously not nearly as naked as this)
Gender: Female Age: 18
Experience: 65% - Average level of experience for a pilot. Performs basic actions such as running or shooting without fail, and may have the potential for more difficult maneuvers. Synchronization Rate: 59% - The Framewerk will feel clunky and more like a burden rather than an extension around oneself. Operating the Framewerk requires a degree of force, as if piloting a difficult vehicle and not a suit of armor.
Personality: Lora is unique for having a sort of deadpan confidence, seeming be reserved on the outside but in reality being very empowered and sure of her capability. Of course, she's not headstrong, either, and in fact proves to be rather patient. Off the field, she performs small efforts and tasks in hopes to play a little more than her part. Lora often appears rather blank-faced most of the time, and the most emotion she can be noted showing is largely in combat, as if she has some deep-seated feelings regarding the Cruxi (and boy, does she).
Motivation: Repel the Cruxi and ensure a better future for humanity.
Background: People who say that Lora went through hell don't realize that good people shouldn't go to hell.
The young Lora grew on a colony somewhat on the farther reaches of human society. Her family was one of the most esteemed on that world, and not because they had luxury. No, it was because they shared their luxury, working to create and distribute new technologies to benefit the colonizing people and ensure what happened to Earth would not so easily repeat itself. Lora was exposed to this and more, and so learned the better qualities of life and what they meant.
To say it all changed when the Cruxi appeared seemed cliche and inaccurate. Within 24 hours, it all disappeared - homes, families and lives alike. A still-young Lora and her younger brother were one of the few that managed to make it, of the single escape ship that managed to survive the ordeal. She wished she could stop crying, that after she cried all her tears, her voice went hoarse, and her heart ached the worst, it would stop. But the pain inside didn't stop.
Lora practically begged to be enlisted in the project to weaponize Framewerks. She wanted so many things, but the only ones she could hope to get were revenge, and hope itself. She would gladly learn to take life if it meant no more had to suffer like she did. She would become stronger, far stronger than she was on that day of defeat, as strong as she needed to be to take down the enemy. And even if she died doing it, Lora was going to bring peace and happiness back to every last human who deserved it.
Notable Deaths: Pretty much anyone she was related to by blood - parents, grandparents, uncles and cousins - all except her younger brother. A couple of her close friends also didn't make it.
Other Things: People think that Lora doesn't show her emotions because she is very scarred inside. While they are partly right, she also represses her emotion to ensure she can remain stable during Framewerk combat. It works for the most part, but there are times where she can get a little loose.
-FRAMEWERK-
Code Name: Dynasty
Number of Systems: One Primary, One Secondary
Signature Weapons System: Dual Blaster Cannons - pretty much exactly as it says on the tin. A single blaster cannon is built to fire concentrated hard-light energy bolts for good stopping power and destructive potential. When one cannon was found to bear weak penetration and a meager firing rate, the issue was mostly circumvented by equipping one for each hand to double the effective output, though this resulted in a significant jump in weight and bulk. In case of emergency, one or both blasters may be discarded to remove such weight, allowing for a more expedious retreat.
Secondary Weapons System: A light missile launcher mounted behind the right shoulder. The silo can hold two payloads of six High-Explosive Multi-Purpose missiles, primarily used for defensive means at closer ranges where the blaster cannons would be less feasable to use.
Weight Class: Light-Medium. The intent of the Framewerk as a free-range mobile striker was found to be compromised by the weight of its equipment, and so it was given additional armor and defensive suites to compensate. The base thrusters only just barely allow the Framewerk to hover over ground as a result, and while it does still bear a leavel of maneuverability other machines may lack, it only does so by a thin margin.
