Alyssa & Adam De Franklin
The screeching of airplane tires could be heard as the private jet touched down on the runway and her eyes were flashed out of the window. After her breakup with Oscar before the holidays, she needed a nice getaway from all the drama and everything that followed along with it. She indeed did have a great time in Buenos Aires as she danced, had a nice fling and even got drunk a few nights. But now, she was back within the confides of New York, the Upper East Side. Alyssa waited until the plane came to a halt before standing up with a sigh and getting off of the plane, meeting her brother right there on the runway, as he ran up to her and hugged her.
"You're not leaving the next holiday without me. Understood?" Adam said while linking his arm with his sister's and they walked to the nearby limo and got inside. "So, how was Buenos Aires?" Adam asked as Alyssa nodded her head with a smile. "It was nice. I needed the getaway. How was the holidays with mom and dad?" She remarked then asked him as Adam made a face. "Not so great. The usual bickering at dinner and such." Adam answered with the shrug as the trunk of the limo finally closed and they were well on their way back to their habitat, their home.
Along the way, Alyssa and Adam caught up with each other, shared a few laughs and Alyssa was even comfortable now talking to him about her breakup with Oscar. As their limo pulled up into the driveway at their penthouse, Adam noticed that their parents town car wasn't there and there was no telling where they were right about now. Alyssa got out and looked around, inhaling and exhaling as she eyed Adam. "I missed this air." Adam chuckled as he walked beside her now. They reached their floor by elevator and immediately walking off, Alyssa called their butler, Geoff, who scurried up towards her.
"Welcome back, Ms. Alyssa." He said with grace as she took off her jacket and draped it over him and handed him her purse. "Spare me the welcome back greeting." She remarked with sass while walking past him now as she slumped down on the couch with a groan. "You can't talk to Geoff like that." Adam said while standing beside her as she perked up. "Sorry. A bit jet lagged." She countered while standing up with a smile. "Care to go for a walk?" Adam nodded his head as she giggled, clapping for Geoff to return her coat to her, which he did.
"We're going for a walk. We'll be right back." Alyssa said with a smile then scrunched her face up as they made their way to the lobby and outside, now walking on the sidewalk and heading towards Central Park. A place her and Oscar use to visit all the time and a shrew of emotions were coming over her now but she still had a smile on her face - No matter what.
