Arina is quite short despite being a senior as she stands only at 5’2. She is constantly noted for her dress outside of school in American brands such as Hollister.
Personality
Arina is generally humble, and quiet. But within her, she is thoughtful to the point sometimes she has to patiently collect her words just to speak and. She always has a sense of urgency in where she goes and what she does. She sometimes does not think about remaining “calm” for this was something of her. Of course she is open, around people she trusts showing off her kindness and a little bit of her boisterousness but she generally inhibits her energy unless she is around close people of hers. She just a nice girl, that can kick your ass if you anger her.
There is one thing for sure; she fucking hates the school uniforms, viewing it as an abomination to individuality. She hates it so much that after school she always change back into casual American clothing.
Biography
Arina was born to Filipino-Japanese parents in the United States and lived there for many years. She was born into a lavish life for her parents achieved the coveted “American Dream.” She got everything she wanted and surrounded herself with the toys and video games she had. She moved around several times. Due to business she moved Philippines at the age of five, and then at the age of nine to Japan were she resided in Shikatsu. In both countries she attended international schools and learned their native language. Even when she moved back to the United States when she was 11, she practiced her Tagalog with her father and Japanese with her mother ingraining the national identities of three nations becoming a Trilingual at such a young age.
Yet the “American Dream” which Arina was born into began to fall from their hands. “Old wounds” that her parents inherited from their lives and the “08 Recession” began the inexorable decline of what was once a harmonious and loving family. As the fighting got worst as her lavish life dwindled she turned to reading, writing, playing video games and performing music so she could escape from the daily tensions between her father and mother.
Public High School in California was a short lived joyous experience for Arina as her parents had an uneasy peace between each other and focused her life around her school. Arina excelled in her studies noteworthy as being a member of the high school band as one of the top Saxophonists and a member of the JROTC for attaining several high-ranking awards. Yet when her parents divorced, her mother left leaving words of “love” and “encouragement.” She was then left with her father and her new family that she despised. She then moved back to Japan reluctantly were she was supported by several other extended family members she could care less about.
Arina found it difficult to moving back into Japan. She was the student that sat back in the class and was quiet. It took a few months for her to adjust as she joined the local school band showing herself as an accomplished Saxophonist, as a girl not to mess with when she beat up a group of students that was harassing her and as a Trilingual when they found out she could converse in English and Tagalog.
Arina has adjusted to Uchima established herself as an educated/creative student to the point she has gained the respect of other students becoming commonly known as “Cal-Senpai.” The vagueness of her background has created a “mystery” around her as people still wonder about her vague past as no one even knows where she exactly lives except it is in the Nobi Plain. The place of her final year, Arina has a sense of relief that Uchima is her last for she could return home and is going to make it best of it.
Name: Kiritsugu Sakurai Age: 16 Gender: Male Arcana: Hierophant Equipment: -Weapon: Bo staff, later triple staff. -Calligraphy set, with brushes & inkwell. -School backpack, includes school supplies. -Surface tablet, attaches to laptop. Skills: Calligraphy (Kanji), Computer Hacking, Cooking (Cantonese), Electronic Repair, Martial Arts (Nanquan), Computer Programming
Owing his physical features more to his Chinese father than his Japanese mother, Kiritsugu stands out in a crowd at 6' (183 cm) tall and a tan complexion. Kiritsugu's hair is cut to a half crown, except for bangs that fall halfway towards double eyelids and an intense look. Rarely smiling except for half grins and smirks, Kiritsugu prefers to give off an aloof, unassuming aura to discourage casual advances, though people comment on him looking angry or upset when facing them. He walks with a quiet, swift stride that surprises some of the most attentive people, though Kiritsugu would protest this was purposefully out of politeness rather than ulterior motive. When not dressed in school uniform, Kiritsugu dons a polo shirt with sweater or unbuttoned jacket over it depending on season, and cargo pants or shorts.
Kiritsugu appears as your average introvert, but this deception among others mask a churning interior. Despite his cold behavior, Kiritsugu can be quite empathetic towards family and friends he cares about, though carefully measures its expression. He prefers to act wise beyond his years in conversation, though how much of it is genuine substance even Kiritsugu constantly questions. Charming and graceful when the situation calls for it, his social status in school is only offset by his middle of the road class rank, though some classmates suspect only lethargy holds back his capacity for intellect. In extreme situations, Kiritsugu reveals a cunning, resourceful mind, or when pushed to his limit can express pure emotion (though its hard to piss him off). Prefers sarcasm and situational humor for comical effect.
Kiritsugu was born to a Chinese father and Japanese mother in Hong Kong, where he spent his childhood. At one point he enrolled in a martial arts school, where he would remain until moving away. His father, a surly man with expectations for his son, ran an electronic flea market, and taught his trade to Kiritsugu, but nothing more; he then passed away from cancer when Kiritsugu was 12. His mother moved him back to Japan, specifically her hometown of Shikatsu, where Kiritsugu has been in local schools since the 7th grade. The will of his dying father gave the opinion, or rather demand, that Kiritsugu follow in his footsteps and succeed him in the electronics industry. But Kiritsugu, a budding artist inspired by manga, hoped to one day publish a Chinese manhua rivaling the Japanese dominated medium. But pressure by his parents, dead and alive, caused his fall into a self loathing routine of schooling and preparing for an unwanted career. Kiritsugu ironically could not relate to his mother as well as he tried with his father; the former now works full time in Nagoya, and rarely came home long enough for a meaningful talk. When joining a club for his first year at Uchima Senior High, Kiritsugu opted for calligraphy instead of manga, as he was embarrassed to reveal his forbidden passion, besides being intimidated by the skill of Japanese artists. For now, Kiritsugu takes the role of the background student, who after school returns home to satisfy his father's ghost by learning programming, and practicing martial arts or drawing to escape in his spare time.
We're still accepting, also disregard taken Arcana. We're letting multiple have the same Arcana. Although I would prefer if we didn't have three people choose Moon.
Aaaand with that post, School Side plot has started. Kaede should likely be first to notice this entire affair, though if you're in any of the classroom-based clubs, you can get involved as well. For those who are planning on heading out of the school and into the city or for fries, I'll be getting something up for you guys too.
2. Jin is the former captain of the Archery team. (I can elaborate on this if you want, but Jin started in their first year, quickly got promoted, and quit before the year was out.)
