After she survived the horrors of Silent Hill and defeated the Order's monstrous God, Heather was deeply traumatized by the horrific ordeal but managed to move on with her life. She soon settled down in Ashbury Heights, a small suburb in Des Moines, Iowa, and married, later giving birth to a beautiful baby girl she named Danielle. Heather figured this would be the beginning of a happy life...but...she was sadly mistaken.
By the time Dani had turned fourteen and her father died in a bizarre highway calamity, she started having horrible nightmares every night, she would even begin to hallucinate and see blood, organs and rust pouring out of the walls, and grotesque, vile creatures everywhere, but worst of all....there was always this one little girl who haunted her dreams, a girl the same age as she, with tousled and mangy black hair draped over her face...and her skin...pale white, but covered in several gruesome burns and other abrasions. It got to a point where Heather finally considered taking Dani to a psychiatrist, and even considering the possibility of admitting her to an asylum. But....when she asked her daughter if this girl in her nightmares had a name... everything changed.
The girl's name....was Alessa.
Before too long, Heather and Danielle were moving from place to place, which made it difficult for Dani to make any friends and often led to her being constantly bullied, so much to the point she began to recede into herself. Her mother didn't help much matters either as Heather was always paranoid and refusing to let Danielle leave the house after school. In fact, both women always had the feeling they were being watched by someone.
Then one day, Danielle came home from school. Her mother was nowhere to be found in the house, so she called for her. No reply followed. She began to grew worried and searched the house, happening upon a dreadful discovery. A trail of blood led from the kitchen, where there was an apparent struggle, to her mother's bedroom upstairs. Danielle, fear gripping her heart in its insidious black talons, followed the blood trail...and...when she opened the door....she found her mother...
Heather was stripped of all her clothing and crucified to the wall by her wrists and ankles. Her throat had been slit, and from her blood soaked, mangled corpse protruded several knives and other bladed instruments. She was tortured upon several agonizing hours...until she gave her last breath. Someone did this to her, but who?
Suddenly....there came a scream so loud and so blood curdling in Danielle's ears. Not of another person...but of a
siren. The walls began to spew forth blood and human remains, crumbling and melting to reveal underneath rust and iron bars like a prison for tortured, wicked souls. And...behind the corpse of Heather a message appeared written in blood....such terrifying words...
Danielle screamed and fled the bloody scene in terror...but it was just not her mother's bedroom that was being overtaken by this...evil. It soon leeched through the entire house, corrupting everything it touched, the sound of the siren screaming louder and louder that it drove Dani to her knees clutching her ringing ears for dear life.
She shut her eyes tight, trying her best to drown it all out, the horror unfolding all around her, but...something was wrong. Her body, she felt weak...limp, as though she could barely stand to her two feet, her stomach churning and writhing with such agonizing pain and nausea. She felt as if any moment she was going to throw up...and she did. Dani fell to the floor, convulsing violently and vomiting from her mouth a foul tasting reddish black liquid. Everything around her began to spin out of control and her head felt like it was going to split wide open and spill her brains everywhere.
Then...another sound.... If the wail of that siren didn't make her head throb, then this certainly did. It was like nails on a chalkboard, like the screeching of a vampire bat incessantly, the sound of a large blade scraping across bloodstained, rusted metal floors...
Weak and Hesitant...Danielle turned to face it...the monstrous entity that stood before her in the middle of the hallway, upon its head some sort of ghastly medieval torture device, like a pyramid made of rotten iron. Its muscles rippling grotesquely against its ashen and scarred flesh, it raised a trembling finger to Danielle, gawking at it in utter horror and disgust.
"ALESSA..." She heard it speak, saying that...all too familiar name in a low, guttural, beastly growl. It lurched forward, each step of the towering abomination sending shockwaves of fear through her heart. The creature wrenched and writhed, apparently tormented greatly by the massive piece of steel encasing its head, all the while dragging behind it a gargantuan, bloody blade.
Danielle...try as she may, she couldn't get up, lying there helpless in a black pool of what smelled like blood and rotting flesh, trembling with every frail and ragged breath she whimpered out.
Then....darkness....
She soon awoke, coming to only to realize she wasn't in her house...or the living nightmare it had turned into. Was it all just a dream? Another vivid hallucination? Her head was still pounding, her eyes sore as the flickered open, discovering Dani lying on the dusty wooden floor....of an abandoned and deeply dilapidated church.
"Wh...where am I?"This was only the beginning of her nightmare....
