Well everyone k need to gauge something from you.

It appears that we are dying. Very slowly. We have lost quite a few players and those that remain control too many characters. Thus makes posts long in arriving and lengthy requiring lengthier responses.

It has been brought to my attention that there is a solution... it's not ideal Tho.

A full restart. I know what this means but listen. It's not just to get more people again, there are several other issues that will be solved with several new rules being imposed. For one, as amazing as @RomanAria is for making and taking up so many characters we need to limit ourselves to two per character or to many will rely on one I'm order to post.

Furthermore I will be forced to deal with unexcused absences and a lack of posting. This is hard and will require work..

I wanted to gage the room before I declared it would happen.

So... opinions?

big "HELL NO!" From me.

Not cause of the character number limitation (though it breaks my heart to think of who I'd have to let go) but simply because... Bloody hell I don't want to have to redo the whole choosing /again/. Nor do I think we should rush through the scene, simply for the sake of character development. But. I've role played that scene out three times in some form or another and I /really/ don't want to have to do it again. I'd sooner stick with the batch we have now at the "nearly dead" pace we have now.

I apologize for how much I've been holding things up but I don't want to have to quadruple post in rapid succession. If you guys would rather I do that I can promise more regular posts... It's /much/ easier to set aside time to write for one than it is for six. I'm willing to change how I structure posts if you all want.

Buuuut I digress. Bottom line: If this goes to another reboot from the beginning, I will likely not be rejoining. And if it does go to reboot... Anyone who would want to continue this iteration in a small group RP (focusing on just the interactions of one set of characters, no doubles), feel free to PM me and we'll work something out.

I would agree with RomanAria. It's such a waste to lose the lore we've already built. I know my character ain't much, but it would be a shame to lose him in the end.

I agree with manatee, I know that certain pairings are doing fine with who they have, but there are others who just don't have the dedication in their teams needed to continue. I'll be honest. I love this rp, but I'm probably not going to continue much if it keeps going at the rate it is. I have posted a grand total of like... 8 times. It is just making me frustrated. I vote restart.

Maybe a grand restart isn't the only way forward. Maybe like... A plot twist of a second night of choosing with removal of characters who aren't here anymore and a clean start for those who want to join a new. That way who is here is here and doesn't loose their lore and we get some freshness

Then what do I do with my overload of characters, in the case of a continuation? It's not fair for the drakkens involved -nor the people like Obby who I took over for-- if I drop some of them but a lot of this problem is how many characters I have, I think. I might be able to write some tragic death scenes, though...

Full disclosure: if we do it like this and Wolfie stays, I'm keeping the twins (*redacted* is getting killed off later anyway), Sia, and probably Lienna cause I promised Obby. Killing off Saisri and Sorici, if it goes that way. If Wolfie decides not to stay I'm not staying either.

I mean,as far as fairness goes, people who have lost brides or Drakkens could get new ones in the new world. Tbh, I don't see how someone who isn't in the rp anymore would care about their character anymore. I don't see anything wrong with who you are choosing to keep vs not keep (I can just get Exon someone else) and it would be a Drakken blood bath. Maybe the running away thing triggers it?

As GM I have no vote in this and so far it looks like no restart... may I ask for use of gentler language though for those objecting to my suggestion?

I took this RP up from its gravery, created by someone who isn't me, because I legitamently enjoyed it's idea. I know I sound like a damn SJW or something... but it makes me feel awful when people get ,ad at me for possible decisions in this RP as its already hard for me to run this....

My suggestion isn't a full re-start, just a partial. But, like I said, unless something changes, I don't want to keep wasting my time trying to get it to work when it isn't.

Ok, yikes. Im here, and will be here so long as this exists, restart or not. I would prefer not to restart but will support it if it does happen, BUT I really like @Ellion's idea of a plot twist/second day of choosing so new players could join and anyone with too many characters could kill them off or drop. I'm planning on killing off Zane if we do this because he's really not going anywhere anyway unless Nadia actually gets to her new home, but having him die would open up a whole other path of plot development for her and I really like the idea im getting in my head now.

@RomanAria I know that double posting is considered bad in other threads, but considering that you've got so many characters i think it would be easier on yourself and for all of us if you post for a character at a time, that way posts won't take as long and you can post for someone as soon as they've got something to reply to rather than needing to wait for all your characters to be able to react before you start writing a post. And, if there is a restart I'm all for continuing this version as well, but I'll PM you if it comes to that.

I'm not sure but wasn't @Belle interested in joining at some point? I vaugely remember someone asking to be poked if an opportunity to join popped up, idk of it was belle or not, but a second night of the choosing would let them join and would make sense. What are the odds that every girl that'd been taken would arrive on the same night? Gemminia is a big-ish country (or I think that's what was said) and I suppose the Drakken could plan ahead for the amount of time needed to get to shadow worth from any part of Gemminia, but some people would encounter some kind of trouble along the way right? So a seccond, smaller wave of gems would make sense arriving a day late. For that matter Drakken could have arrived late too, for various reasons.

@agentmanatee all in all please don't reboot this, I feel like we can all make this work, we just need to work out a way for this to flow a little better.

Oh, I know I'm not super active because of my heavy school work load, but I'm here too. And I would also not prefer a restart. I'm okay with killing off characters if need be to 'clean' things up. And now that Aria had posted, I'm freed up to post again so yay.

If killing off Sorici is one of the questions, it might be plausible to use her underlying hate for drakkens to be a catalyst for Cuwarr to slay her. In turn, this might create drama between Cuwarr and Kalani, since they seem to be one of the 'calmest' couples to date. They had no argument, no drama for the two so far. Let's say, Sorici attempts to kill Cuwarr at one point or another, but gets outdone since this could be the first time Cuwarr reveals his powers to his brides.

Or, you know, if you have suggestions, I'm more than happy to help out and compromise.

In any case, I'll try to get up a post or something. I'll need to read again the current events as my last post was two months ago. I have gotten quite lost with the events so far.
