The witches have completed their primary buisness at the castle. I'd like to see some 'reunion' scenes as the witches meet up again and share the events.
I however do reserve the right to puppet them all back to Castle Bloodrose next Wednesday so plot can proceed.
Is this going to be continued anytime soon or should I try and figure out a way to get Draco into the demon infested cathedral? Because going to be honest, it seems like a world of fun.
It is my hope to end the demon cathedral tonight. I'll let you know if that changes
I don't know if I will be available - I'm having quite a bit of stress at work these days. However I don't want you to feel stuck because of me, so I give you or Sun (whoever likes) permission to use/play Andri when needed and if I'm not available tonight. Feel free to PM me if there are any questions.
Having read the recent developments in the hunter's collab, I feel that there is a somewhat urgent need for a definitive answer of mine if I want to keep Khan in my character's head or not. From what I've read it seems that I'm actually given the choice.
However, to be honest, finding an answer to this appears not as simple for me as it might seem at first glance. The main question is: What are the consequences of an exorcism here ? Given that Andri's head already almost exploded when he was just threatened being exorcised, I assume that the process would be very cruel and there would likely be long-term, if not even permanent damage as Khan is embedded right in his brain and not somewhere less important ? I think that Andri could likely know about this and character knowledge is decisive here - but I don't know about it yet. Additionally, it seems that Khan is much more than just 'demands his host to do smut'. I'm awaiting the CS.
On the other hand the other hunters would likely just force Khan to be exorcised or kill Andri outright if he refuses....
So what I did was pay a visit to random.org and throw the dice. The result is: As a player, if the other arguments are in balance, I want to keep Khan, and I have the feeling that Toast pretty much wants the same. But then we urgently need to figure out how this could work. I'm open to many things, except ruining Khan's host.
Nah. 'CS' might be the wrong expression, it's just the one you used a few days ago in the pad. I just think we need to discuss a general plan how to continue because after that much poofing action and other things pretty much every hunter can suspect or does already know something is strange.
Hunters: A little luck, a good plan, and the high ground brought you here. The long night is just beginning hunter, wet your blade, hone your instincts, and hope you don't become prey before your time.
Witches: So you've cast a few spells? Have some control over your gift? Well done, but that's just the beginning. Magic is intoxicating isn't it? Find yourself a coven quick sorceress, lest you find yourself alone in the dark.
Hunter: Welcome to the long night, hunter. You can finally number yourself amongst the ranks of those that run towards danger instead of away from it. This is a dangerous road you walk, check your pride boy, if you want to live another night.
Witch: True control is gained here. You're beginning to understand the basics of magical theory, but you're still mostly in the dark. Every old nightmare started here sorceress, but not many made it any further.
Hunter: Well done, you've made it to the heights of what most hunters will ever accomplish. If you hung your blade up and started a family no one would blame you, the taverns know your tales by heart anyway. Maybe that's not enough for you? Is it because you're mad? Or does something pull at you? Blaze your way through the blood and dark hunter, you're beginning to understand.
Witch: How many sacrifices did it take to get here? Do you controll your own little coven now? Maybe you've retired from black magic and became a medicine woman? Old tomes no longer have anything of value for you, words are not power after all. Seek the old ways, the dark ways. Close your eyes against the bitter wind, push on witch.
Hunter: Your form is nearly peerless, and you know more about the beasts that stalk the night than most hunters alive. People recoil from you in fear. Why? Is your killer instinct really so obvious? False friends fade, and tavern tales turn to dark whispers. Did you really think you were just human? Maybe you still do, hopefully you'll never live long enough to find out.
Witch: You're a walking nightmare. Spells pile up at the back of your long memory as quickly as the bodies of rivals and hunters do in your wake. You bloodline's gift speaks to you, offering up even more power readily. The outer planes echo with your power. No one makes it this far without delving into the dark arts, and they're called dark for a reason witch. Can you really stand any more?
Hunter: Welcome scion of the hunter's moon. You're among the most powerful killers in the world. How does it feel at the top? Knowing you have more in common with the beasts you hunt than your mortal counterparts? Somewhere along the line something inside you spread its terrible wings, pushing you to transcend mortal capacities for violence. Are you awaited in heaven? Valhalla? Or does the pit eagerly watch for your fall? Stand alone against the deep dark hunter, no one else can.
Witch: When did you leave your humanity behind? When did it become so easy to sell yourself for power? Welcome bringer of the great dark. Your descent is now complete, you've completed your magnum opus and left the world behind. Or did you? Why do you still linger here Wise One? Did you leave something behind? Maybe you didn't like what awaited you at the end of your long journey. Reality buckles against the weight of your transcendant will, what great work awaits you next?
Alright, so with player versus player conflict around the corner (likely) I thought I'd get ahead of the curve on this. These are guidelines for the 'power' of a character. My hope is to use these as descriptive aids to help navigate any and all combat scenes.
Evenly matched is evenly matched. Someone can reasonably expect to defeat three opponents a step below them so long as they don't give a crucial advantage. Two steps down opponents are considered trivial, although in large swarms can prove troublesome.
I'd like players to try to get an idea about where their character (or characters for most of us) are at on this scale. Do not place yourself at Adept or Master without justifying your argument to me in a PM. That doesn't mean I'll say no, but don't get your hopes up. Also I hope this goes without saying, but there is certainly room for a character to move up the chart pending development and the like.
Note: This represents combat ability. If for some reason your witch takes an hour to use their power, but it can completely rewrite memories or whatnot there's no particular reason for them to be high up on this list. Combat is 'mostly' an opt-in feature of this RP, at least for witches.
Note 2.0: I'll be adding this to the OOC as well, just thought I'd put it here for you guys to look at.
SO, we finally ended that plot that took WAY LONGER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE. SO all the hunters(minus Mat, Liz and Flint) are going back to the tavern (at your convenience) Make a post so the new hunters and old can....I dunno do stuff?
