The land has long since been dominated by mankind; brutish race of hairless apes who pride themselves on their intelligence and elegance. Their influences reaches to all corners of the continent, and looms oppressively over the ‘lesser beastkin’ who endlessly toil the lands and work their little hearts out until their dying breath.
A whole century has passed since the Great Conquest which swept across the land, annihilating several species, and enslaving many more. Those who submitted to the rule of man where allowed to remain with their families and tame their lands… though the ludicrous tax rate meant every day was a struggle that could be their last. There may be an occasional uprising from time to time, but the royal police force; The Templar are quick to suppress any public dissent amongst the lowly ‘tribes.’
The King however seemingly has had a change of heart as of late, and a royal decree was issued allowing beastkin to attend the educational institutes which have until now, been exclusively the right of those born as human. While many beastkin would have initially scoffed at the idea; but those who graduate an Academy are rewarded a citizenship which puts them on equal footing as their human counterparts. Those who do exceptionally well may even be appointed magistrates of their own region; allowing them to make life changing decisions such as development and taxation. Whether you like it or not, the reward is just too great for you, or your people. And hence you’ve made your merry way to the human Capitol; Almaston.
This Roleplay will be set in a Fantasy World where mankind has taken over the world. A scattering of various races remain in their rural communities though, and although the Beastkin toil day and night, they’re constantly on the brink of poverty due to taxes and oppression. Your character is one of the beastkin; as they’re name implies, beastkin are a broad collection of races which have been lumped together due to their animal-like features. Most prominently this involves a pair of animal ears, and a tail… though other parts can be negotiated. Additionally your character has been enrolled at Hartricht Academy in exchange for a hefty sum of money. Formerly an exclusively human establishment, a change of laws have given your character the opportunity of a lifetime. Unfortunately being an inferior race means prejudice will await them at every corner, and the road to graduation will most certainly be a bumpy one.
Quick Notes:
-I’d prefer people who are able to post several times a week.
-I’d prefer people who can write a sizeable paragraph per post.
-I’d prefer people who can be creative, but sensible in their ideas.
-Players will exclusively be "Kemonomimi" Character, more commonly known as Neko's.
(Google it if you don't know what that is).
-I’d like at least 4~6 people interested before I move this onward to an OoC.
