Ro'kun lay on the lounge couch, flipping through channels. He had one arm out holding the remote, and the other draped over his head. He was comfortable as hell where he was, but there was nothing good on! It's like everything was boring today. Suddenly, he flipped the channel to the news and saw that Red head he had met earlier in the day, and his jaw dropped when he saw her break the fucking sound barrier. "...Jesus."

Enyo was losing patience with the fingerprint scanner at her door. She knocked on Tia's door and she answered it. "I can't get my door to open." Tia looked at her and said you may need to get the soot off of your hands first. Enyo walked past Tia into her bathroom and scrubbed her hands then went back to her own door and tried again.

She got it to open and thanked Tia and entered her own room. Once inside she started discarding her clothing and walked straight into the nice hot shower. She felt good about her first day. It felt like she was already making a difference.

Drifter giggles because she's confused a little an realized how what she asked must of sounded.

"Glad your looking at it so positively." Omega then chuckled looked into the direction of the mall. "I think it's that way. Try not to speed past me, ok. I know I'm not as fast." He admitted honestly. He appeared to be disappointed by the last statement, but he knew his flight was a product of his telekinesis. If he improved the raw power of it, he'd be able to move faster.

With a smirk he flew into the direction of the mall. He would have spoke to Jessica, but he felt their speed would make it impossible, instead, he used the com link.

"So how does that spatial sense thing work for you? I knew someone who could do it. Does it make you see 360 degrees or is there more to it?" Omega asked. He was curious as the last person he knew that had the gift, refused to tell him. Something about him one day being an enemy and how enemies knowing too much is a bad thing.

Jesse smiled at Micheal and answered his question

" Well in my case it is how I perceive the magnetic fields of the earth which surround everything on the planet. It is a 360 view but it extends beyond that allowing me to see around corners.

I can see around you, tell you where every tiny piece of metal is on your person, if you have electronic devices an if they are active or inactive.

I don't just see these thing I feel them too, if necessary I can even describe you detail with my eyes closed; see through clothing after my own fashion.

I can even tell if a woman has silicone or saline breast augmentation " she says giggling over the memory of the last part.

Shiver

Shiver came up on missions shift change and she announced "ok Pixie and Drifter are on the next shift starting in 15 minutes. This is the only reminder guys. Don't be late."

Shiver was amped up and she needed to burn off some energy. She went outside and teleported to Michael's location. She was surprised to see him in off duty clothes and he wasn't alone. She was watching him and Jess flying to the mall which she was currently standing on the roof of. Shiver was surprised at how much it hurt her to see him laughing and goofing off with Jess. When they got close enough she said to Jess, "Your missions start in 15 minutes with Pixie. Don't be late."

Her eyes only met Michael's for a second but it was a heartwrenching second. He could see her raw pain. Her electricity shorted out the entire mall and 2 blocks north. Before he could say anything to her she teleported out. When she got back to the HQ she went out back and sat down and poured her electricity into the training facility behind the building still under repairs. She didn't really know how to handle the situation. He had been hard for her to get to know but he could just goof off with Jess? Tia walked out back when the voltage started to override what the transformers could handle. "Shiv? What's wrong?"

"Nothing that...just nothing. Take over for a little bit ok? I need to,... I ....I just need to..." Shiver teleported to the desert and sat there with her eyes closed. She sat there and did not open her eyes. She was trying to focus so she wouldn't be consumed by her power.

Shiver heard something behind her a millisecond before she was knocked out. It triggered an alarm for her and then her comlink went dead. Tia ran looking for Naomi who was usually around but couldn't find her. Tia was panicking. For her comlink to go dead something really bad had to happen. "Michael! I need you to find Shiver. I think someone took her!"

Meanwhile the stormtroopers from the wax museum shoved Shiver into the van after they tied her hands and feet together, and drove off.

"Omega"

"That's pretty cool. It must be impossible to hide from you." Omega said with a chuckle. It wasn't until he arrived at the mall, face to face with Shiver, that his demeanor changed from cheerful to confused. as he looked at Shiver, he could tell she was upset about something. She ordered Jessica to go on a patrol with Pixie in 15 minutes and teleported before he could retort.

"Damn, sorry Jess." Omega said sadly as he thought about how bad the timing was. He groaned, before an idea came to him. "Maybe I can take your shift and you can ask someone else to accompany you. I'm sure Ro'kun would have a blast with all the places he could eat here and he's a cool guy." Omega tried to convince. He shrugged and frowned, but forced a smile to assure her.

"Hey Tia, I'll be willing to take Drift-" Before he could say more an alarm was triggered for Shiver. "What the fuck..." Omega then heard it go out. False alarm?

It didn't take long for Tia to get on comms and urgently tell him something had happened to Shiver.

"Hey hold up! I'm not a tracker! I want to find her, but I..." Omega's eyes landed on Jessica mid-sentence. "I'm taking Drifter. Put someone else on patrol with Pixie. Drifter and I can find her. Where was her the last location of her comlink before it went out? Time now!"

Jesse was about to land when Shiver appeared her energy field warping the area magnetic field by altering polarity.

"Your missions start in 15 minutes with Pixie. Don't be late." said Shiver in an odd tone.

Jess knew automatically what she was seeing was a territorial display because logically it was unnecessary for Micheal's Girl Friend to waste her energy coming in person to inform her of a patrol. Jessica always wore her Commsband and she was certain that everyone knew that.

Then while The young Magnetic Meta pondered the question Shiver suddenly gave off a powerful localized Electro Magnetic Pulse.

It might have been worse than it was if not for Jesse countering it by absorbing a portion of it's impact.

She was about to voice her concerns and erect an even more power counter field when Shiver vanished. Jessica had to wind down her own field before speaking and just as she was about to voice her concerns to Micheal she detected Shiver once more approaching critical near Head Quarters and was about to tell Omega that they needed to go to Shiver and place her under control which in this case would require Jess focusing a magnetic version of a Faraday Cage around her and teaching her quickly how to control herself or have Rey build an actual Faraday Cage. Then Shiver once more pulled her disappearing act.

In an attempt to do her duty as a protector Jessica altered her magnetic field to the polar opposite of Shiver's turning herself into a hypersensitie antenna tuned to the distraught and dangerous meta female.

Just as she tuned her own body into a Shiver sensor she became aware that something was wrong.

"Micheal I need to collect about 75 meters of 18 gage stainless steel wire after which I will assemble it into a frequency detection array.

When Shiver went EMP I gathered as much of the excess as I could to prevent her causing any more damage than she did and in doing so I became sensitive to her electromagnetic frequency."

Enyo and Tia

Enyo nearly flew past Tia grabbing her so fast without warning that she nearly got whiplash. She hadn't been grabbed up so fast in probably a decade or more. Enyo was on the scene in the desert so fast that she had only barely missed the stormtroopers. (lmao) She stopped a few feet from where Shiver was taken and the only trace of her was her comlink.

Enyo hit her comlink and told Omega exactly where they were. "The comlink shows where it went dead at. Her com is here but she is gone The air is full of electricity. I believe she was dumping energy in order to learn to control her power better."

Tia agreed. "When her powers changed they went electrical because she has to create electrical energy to teleport. It was already there, just in another form. That being said how could she get taken so fast?" Tia thought aloud and "if she was trying to focus she wouldn't have noticed another break in the electricity for someone else to teleport in. If she was facing the other direction then all they had to do was knock her out."

Enyo nodded her head. "exactly. Omega? What's your ETA?"

"Omega"

Omega looked at Jessica and gave her a quick nod before hearing the chatter on his comlink. He could recognize Tia's voice, but the other was someone else.

"I'll get to you when I get there." He said coldly before turning back to Jessica. "Where do I find the stainless steel? We could take it from that Home Depot over there." Omega suggested."Or we can go to Tia's location and start searching from there... Or, you can get the steel, and I'll head over to Tia. If we can't find her before you're done, just head to our location." Omega smirked with confidence before flying off.

After some time, Omega arrived at the desert to see Tia and Enyo.

"Another recruit?" He said rhetorically as he looked at Enzo. His focus shifted to Tia. "Let's follow the tire trail made in the sand." He said as he started fillowing the trail using his flight.

Drifter saw one of those do it yourself home stores and flew over towards it and went inside and without any directions found the wire she was looking for in the section dedicated to hanging pictures and as it came in only 100' rolls she grabbed two and stopped by the check out

"I'm terribly sorry but I presently have no cash but need this wire for an important rescue mission an would see you are paid for their cost within 24 hour.

A man who was having his plumbing supplies rung up at that time Chuckles and says to the Startled clerk [b] "Ring it up on my ticket I'm sure she's good for it[/color].

He then smiles at Drifter an adds "Take a selfie with me an I'll consider the debt paid"

Moments later the pink clad hero is back beside Omega an says "I have the wire I need to construct an amplification antenna. Once it is erected and I achieve an appropriate altitude I should be able to get a general fix on her location and once that's done can shift location perhaps twice and conduct a triangulation lock.

Tito thought about what Miles was asking for, responding to him Okay and what if I join up with you...what's in it for me? I'm joining your little rent-a-hero team....and these guys that took your shit, do you know what group they are with? Miles had to ponder for a moment. Well...I can get you off the wanted list....be under our protection....or an independent dial up? We can assist you in making you life a little better than living on the streets as a hustler..and to answer your question...I'm not exactly sure what group they are part of unless I go back to the HQ and get with our R&D guy to help me look up information and then see if you can snoop around with any connections people may have with them.

Looking away with a reluctant expression, Tito silently gave a sigh and looked back at him. Miles had to convince him some how Bruh....when I took the blame for you and was going to jail, did I blame you or gave you the cold shoulder afterward? I did that twice for you and never ratted you out. Tito had a smug expression Why do you have to bring that shit up? Look man....do what you need to do...you know where to find me when you need me...

Miles smirked, heading back to the HQ to look for Glitch and any kind of device that could be useful.

Glitch was in the systems room, finishing the maintenance on the machines and had the security system up and running again but upgraded with pass codes as well as retinal scanning, voice recognition, and the million dollar questions. He even too precautions to add new weaponry to stop any intruders who have entered into the systems room. All that was left was to bring in a droid.

Happy about his task, Rey walked down the hall when Miles rushed to Rey's lab to see if he was there and if he could snoop around a bit and find something useful. Unfortunately, the door was secured as well as Rey made sure to make security to his own office to not have any more incidents like the last one. Using his x-ray, he saw no one was there but Rey walked up What's up eye-spy....what you need...I saw you couldn't get into my office....just a little upgrade to keep snoopers out...

Raising an eyebrow You know, I could just blast the door down....right? A chuckle escaped Rey's lips You can but that if you want to get your ass kicked by my new armed plastique inflation guns and my meta buster drone that I'm creating as we speak.....it will spank you harder than your mama...

Miles shook his head That's cool and all but do you have any detection scanners that can pull up files from uploading any clues that are detected?

Well....do you? Rey just stared for a moment Yeah...I have a scanner....an optic version that I made a couple months back but never put it to use....it can do all the shit you just said....and more....why do you want it?

I have a mission and feel it will be useful... shrugging Rey looked through the drawers and pulled out the device, tossing it to Miles Here you go....don't break it. by the way...have you seen that goddess looking chick that came back with Tia? Looking confused Miles didn't know what Rey was talking about What goddess looking chick? Her name is Enyo....you should check her out....and I'd rather be Enher's instead of Enyos.....(in her's / in yours..Glitch is lame at times.) with a sigh and shaking of the head, Miles left it at that and turned to leave Thanks man...I'll check with Tia soon....

Alright dude...I guess I'll look for Ever to lay my head on her butt for a while...besides....I have a new plan I'd like to share with her.... as the two went their separate ways.

Shiver

Shiver woke up slowly, her head was foggy and it hurt. She touched the back of it and there was a huge lump on the back of her head. It appeared to be a little bloody as she saw when she pulled her hand back. The more aware she became the more she looked around. She was in a wire cage and it appeared to disable all electricity inside it. Shiver tried to teleport and bounced off of the cage and landed on her butt. She couldn't spark up either. "Shit!" she said frustrated.

Shiver looked to see if there was anyone around. She wanted to know who took her. When a stormtrooper came to check on her she started to laugh. "Oh you've got to be kidding me!" The animated trooper took offence and tried to kill her with his plastic lightsaber. Shiver was crying from the laughter. "How can I tell my future children that I was captured by stormtroopers?" As he kept trying to poke at her wth the lightsaber she yanked it out of his hands and broke it. "Enchantress! Come out of hiding you old slutbag! Come fight me one on one!"

Omega nodded at Jessica after she explained how her device worked.

"Try getting that done. I'll only slow you down. Besides, these tracks might lead me right to her. Keep me updated." Omega informed as he continued to follow the trail, hoping the wind wouldn't blow the tracks away. Why was she out here? And how did anyone know she'd be here? It's not making... damn, the tracks are gone. Guess I have to clover leaf it.

Omega then started to search in the general area the tracks were headed and hoping Jessica would come through with the save.

Pixie and Drifter

Erin was in her room when she received the alert from her comlink that Shiver was in trouble. She suited up and moved into the hallway. "I'll get there." She said, but when she checked the coordinates, she found they were in the desert. "...somehow..." She said. Just as she turned to her right, she saw Roman's door open and the man walked out in a dark blue coat, black pants, and brown boots. "Nice suit, bro." She muttered. In his hand he held a black metal mask. "So, since I can't fly, and I -" She frowned as he reached up and spoke into his comlink.

"Pixie and Drifter, En Route." He said. "Hold on tight."

"Wait, what?" She asked, frowning. Before she could get an answer, Roman slid his helmet over his head, turning a circular latch on the side to lock it in place with a hiss of metal parts. He jumped into super speed. He grabbed her by the hand and slung her around, giving her a super-speed piggy back ride. They arrived in the dessert within minutes of leaving.

As they came to an abrupt stop beside Enyo and Tia, sand flew a few feet from his boots. Erin sat down, looking dizzy at the ground. She looked back out over the desert and saw the trail and sand clouds that Velocity had kicked up. "That was fast..." She muttered.

Roman looked to Tia, saying, "How can we help?"

ENYO

Enyo looked at the ground where Shiver was taken and looked at the tire tracks and noticed the tracks never led in, so chances were that the vehicle was teleported in and out. It would also explain why she didn't hear any noises to startle her. Enyo lookedd at Tia and said, "They were tracking her teleportation movements. When she came here she was a perfect target because she was so distracted by her powers. Does anyone know what upset her?"

Tia had a guess but nothing solid. Her frustration became more obvious. "Im not sure."
"Who saw her last?" Enyo queried.

"That I think I know the answer to. Tia had been in the office and saw the shift change highlighted and the reminder call went out. It looks like she left the office after that. She probably took a break. My guess would be she went to see Michael."

Enyo looked a little confused. "Who is Michael?"

"Michael Watts is Omega." Tia replied.

"Oh, Do you want me to kill him?" Enyo asked still a little confused as to how to handle a boyfriend situation on Earth. "I'm not sure what we do to him here. On Olympus they must have to run for their lives more often than they do here."

Tia couldn't help it. She laughed. Enyo not being used to Earth again was going to be funny as she adjusted to it. "No it's probably about the same here. It really just depends on who is chasing them."Tia thought a moment longer and said "It doesn't really matter as to WHY she was upset right now. The point is that she was upset and it caused her to be distracted."

"Any guesses as to who may have taken her?" Enyo waited for an answer.

"The Enchantress has her, no doubt." Tia said, "the question is why do they want her and where is she?"

"Velocity can you or Pixie go back and talk to Glitch and see if he can track her electricity somehow. It should be like tracking a teleporter. He should be able to check the frequencies and find the one with more power."

Velocity and Pixie

Upon learning that Shiver was Electrokinetic as well, Roman nodded, finding a new angle to this situation. "No need. I can lock on to her electric trail. The perk of being Electrokinetic is that our body have different electromagnetic signals than other life forms do. It's like an electric footprint." He explained. "Call Glitch, have him see if he can track her teleportation signal just in case I lose her." He said.

Roman closed his eyes and concentrated. As he did so, arcs of electricity visible danced around his large body. He focused on the electricity in the air, and he moved slowly, enter the spot where Shiver had been. He felt the increase of voltage in the atmosphere around him, and he opened his eyes, locked onto the feeling. "I'll follow the trail and tell when I find something. Let me know if Glitch has any luck." He said, looking to Tia. Faster than one could even see, he blasted off and was five-hundred yards away, leaving a cloud of dust that flew right into Erin's face.

She coughed and closed her eyes, pulling her mask over her nose. "Dear God, that's a lot of sand." She said, then glanced over at Enyo. "I mean... Dear... gods?" She corrected herself, looking at the Demi-God.

Omega flew back to the site where Tia, Enyo, Pixie, and Velocity were just in time for the last bit of what Tia was telling Pixie and Velocity.

"Hold it." Omega said as he landed in front of the four of them. "Drifter made something that should be able to track Shiver, she just needs a little time and we'll be able to find her. I'm Omega by the way." Omega said as he saw the three unfamiliar faces, though he could have swore he saw Pixie before. "I figure you already realized the vehicle they used teleported away."

Omega sighed before shaking his head. He seemed like he wanted to say something, but was biting his tongue. He pinged Jessica's location and nodded before pacing about, obviously bothered. He only stopped to watch Velocity take and used his telekinesis to shield himself of the kicked up sand. At least he has good angle on things

Jesse unspooled the wire and began to weave it into an antenna which she optimized to the unique frequency she'd detected coming from Shiver.

The air around her began to sparkle with with the assembly of a Spider Web that continued to expand from the two coils of wire till eventually it was finished.

While it looked like it had been spun by some huge spider there was a precision to it that was startling and alien.

"Finished" was all she said before she entered the center.

Once she was set Drifter shifter her own physical polarity to the polar opposite of Shiver and increased the level of energy to and intensity that caused the wire closest to her to begin to glow with St. Elmo's fire.

Tia could tell Omega was purposely holding something back. She walked over to him and asked him quietly. "What else is there that you are not telling me?"

She was thinking out loud again. "The only way that someone could capture her is if she was distracted and unable to hear or see them at the time of the attack. She was out here because she was dumping energy and she had already dumped as much as the HQ could tolerate. Michael? Do you know something?"

"It's too bad we can't send her a telepathic message...or can we? PIXIE!!! Come here. I need you to send Shiver a message and read her mind."
