@sheriffllamaRoman watched as Enyo demonstrated the technique again. Done right, the form would allow for a far more controlled strike. He adjusted her form, then stood beside her, feet shoulder-width apart and swiveled his torso and extending his fist in a slow punch.
"You have to make sure you force comes from your core, not your arms." He said, demonstrating the punch again.
"Most of your strength comes from your abdomen, so it allows you the most control over how much you put into each of your strikes." He stepped back and watched as she showed him again.
Enyo watched and let him show her how to punch. She thougth it was sweet that he wanted to help her.
"You know, It's really more of the mental aspect of it I guess. I'm having trouble with pulling back and not killing them. I seem to go to one extreme or the other. One gets to beat the hell out of me or I kill the guy.""I've got an idea, What about if we spar no weapons just hand to hand.I think it would be easier to show you the difference." She held up her hand a moment.
"JOHN!" She called for the outdoor training guy.
"Suit up I need to spar with you a minute." After a minute John showed up in full body protective gear. Enyo thought he looked like the michelin man.
Enyo stood back and waited. John had a sword and she put her weapon down.
"Okay John you ready?" Enyo made the attack on him and he dodged her pretty well for a human. She was taking it easy on him and it was obvious.
"I don't want to hurt him." She stopped after getting a few hits on him but he never touched her.
"Thanks John!" She watched him leave slowly.
"I don't want to break the weak humans. One solid punch of mine could kill or do irreparable damage and I'm not helping anyone if I can't train properly. So would you be my sparring partner from now on?"Roman took a moment, glancing off towards John as he left. He looked back to Enyo, breathing a slow sigh.
"I'm not too keen on hitting you." He said, candidly. "I know it's not like that, but it just doesn't feel right."Enyo was aware that most guys wouldn't start a fight with a girl but they sure as hell would defend themselves. She smiled and said.
"You'll want to in a minute." She turned to walk away and spun around in super speed and slammed him so very hard with an upper cut to the ribs. She knew it would at the very least wind him a second.
"you want to hit me now?"The force of Enyo's hit sent Roman into the air, and he hit the ground with a loud thud a couple dozen yards away. He lay on the ground, contemplating wether or not to strike back. His annoyance took over his chauvanism and he stood up. The collision and friction of the ground had torn a whole in his shirt, so he slipped it off, tossing it to the ground. He cracked his neck as volts of electricty arced up and down his arms, visible from where Enyo stood.
"Okay, then." He muttered, a knelt down. He charged his body full of electricity and shoved off the ground with his right foot, shattering the sound barrier as he hit Mach 1 in under .05 seconds. He jumped into his speed warp, moving faster as Enyo caught up to his movement, and brought his foot into a roundhouse kick that would launch her across the field if it made contact.
When he took his shirt off she yelled
"Distracting me is not fair!" She laughed and jumped into speed with him. His first foot she managed to barely miss but his second foot got her and she went flying. She wasn't down a second when she was coming back at him and as she did she sent a bolt of agony through his brain as her punch got him in the jaw.
As the blast went through his brain, he staggered to one knee, seeing Enyo moved toward him. It faded just fast enough for him to plant his foot in the ground. While her hit still connected, he stopped himself from being thrown. He channeled several hundred volts into his hands, jumping speeds and striking her in the stomach, the current of electricity multiplied by the metal piece in her belt.
"Ouch!" She stopped and pulled her belt off and threw the metal part on the ground. She tied the material together in a knot over the seared flesh.
"Shiver saved the doc. She can heal you if I fry your brain." She Sped circles around Velocity until she made a speed clone and she had both of them bash him at the same time as her mental blow. This one was meant to take him down not just give him a headache.
Roman focused as Enyo increased her mental attack, amping up his at the same time. As she generated a speed mirage of herself, Roman increased his own speed to move with her. He didn't fight against the mirages, but rather charged his entire body, then blast a literal shockwave with enough volts to paralyze a normal human, but would only daze Enyo.
Enyo was irritated by the electricity as she flew off course for a moment and she struck back hard and fast with an elbow to the back of the neck and a knee to his back. She landed on him hard and she didn't let go and put him into a wresting hold her uncle Ares had taught her. She had almost totally forgotten how to fight with electricity. She knew Bell would be giving her grief for it too.
Roman allowed Enyo to put him in the hold, but not for long. He charged himself with another blast of electricty, sending her a few feet into the air. He jumped speeds and kicked vertically, sending her farther into the air. He jumped speeds the slightest, just enough to outrun her while she was dazed in the air. He sprinted up the wall of the HQ building, pushed off into the air, then grabbed her by the waist, sending another round of volts into her body. They both hit the ground with a thud that shook the entire compound, leaving a small depression in the field.
Enyo had landed with his arms wrapped around her waist and she was breathing hard as was he.
"Now you see why I have trouble fighting and sparring with humans." She dropped her head onto his shoulder.
"At least we can't kill each other. You ok?" She turned her head and looked at his face and he finally seemed like he was a little more at ease since the military standoff got everyone pumped up.
He slipped his arms from her waist, ceasing his current of electricty and dimming it completely.
"I'm fine. I forgot how therapeutic sparring is." He stood his full height and, without asking, took her by the shoulder and stood her upright.
"I can show you how to restrain, but..." He paused, leaning back and cracking his back.
"Not today." Enyo chuckled,
"it's been a while since I've had a decent sparring partner." She stretched her legs and back out. Next she looked at him and kissed him.
"Thank you. You got me all riled up. Now I need a cold shower."Roman nodded,
"Me too." He muttered, speeding over to the dent he'd made earlier and picking up his shirt. He ran back to her, then stopped, removing the elastic band from his hair and shaking it out.
"Next time, remember that it might not be a good tactical decision to put yourself against a body that can blast you with enough electricity to melt Antartica." He said, mildly sarcastic.
She slipped an arm around his waist and they walked back to the HQ building.
"Oh wait!" She zipped back and grabbed her belt buckle and then went back to him.
"Look what you did to me" she said chuckling. She pulled the material away and showed him the imprint of the buckle on her belly.
"I'm not letting the doc heal it either. Scars are not a big deal to me. Besides this one is kinda special."@funnyguy@king tai@rumikoohara@poohead189
