Tadigam listened as Lance read the plaque, somewhat annoyed at being held like cattle, out of the way until needed later. But they were moving soon enough, that he didn't snap at anyone. The briefing was... odd. The chief wanted, no expected, us, raw recruits, to match Raven squad in the field on our first day? But he left it up to us to decide who went? IF he really needed officers for the job, he'd have picked the best cadets and sent them... which meant he didn't actually need us for an ongoing investigation. So why were we tasked with this job, were we bait for a trap that hoped to catch this Raddik guy? Well, He is sending us to the armory to kitted up with everything short of live rounds. Great, first they want me to twitch my tail, and now I get play bait. Fan-freaking-tastic. This Raddik person better bite.
At the armory Tad collected and donned his gear quickly and efficiently. He noticed the lack of melee equipment but decided it was omitted to encourage the trainees to keep their distance. Probably a good idea, especially if the goons they were baiting were any good at CQC(close quarters combat), since most trainees hadn't gotten more than the very basic introduction to CQC at the academy. So we need to stay alert, and keep our distance if engaged. Oh, and we should probably make a good show of investigating the disappearance, so pretend it's a real investigation.
Tadigam jumped back into the BEARCAT, taking the same seat he had last time, as one of the others introduced themselves as Lee, Just Lee. Tad almost said "Hi Just Lee" but kept his muzzle shut, the other recruits probably wouldn't enjoy his snarky humor, especially not now. He wondered how was going to play out, and decided that he'd have to keep a sharp lookout for trouble as they went. He checked the chamber of his rifle and pistol, while the last of the squad boarded. Satisfied, he waited for the last of the squad to hop in before reaching out to close the back door he was sitting next to. He waited for whoever was sitting across from him to do the same, before stomping his right boot twice, as his dad had taught him to do. It was a semi-universal signal that everyone was in the vehicle and ready to go. It was used most often when the driver didn't have good visibility of all the passengers, or when there was a rush to get moving.
