Tadigam listened as Lance read the plaque, somewhat annoyed at being held like cattle, out of the way until needed later. But they were moving soon enough, that he didn't snap at anyone. The briefing was... odd. The chief wanted, no expected, us, raw recruits, to match Raven squad in the field on our first day? But he left it up to us to decide who went? IF he really needed officers for the job, he'd have picked the best cadets and sent them... which meant he didn't actually need us for an ongoing investigation. So why were we tasked with this job, were we bait for a trap that hoped to catch this Raddik guy? Well, He is sending us to the armory to kitted up with everything short of live rounds. Great, first they want me to twitch my tail, and now I get play bait. Fan-freaking-tastic. This Raddik person better bite.

At the armory Tad collected and donned his gear quickly and efficiently. He noticed the lack of melee equipment but decided it was omitted to encourage the trainees to keep their distance. Probably a good idea, especially if the goons they were baiting were any good at CQC(close quarters combat), since most trainees hadn't gotten more than the very basic introduction to CQC at the academy. So we need to stay alert, and keep our distance if engaged. Oh, and we should probably make a good show of investigating the disappearance, so pretend it's a real investigation.

Tadigam jumped back into the BEARCAT, taking the same seat he had last time, as one of the others introduced themselves as Lee, Just Lee. Tad almost said "Hi Just Lee" but kept his muzzle shut, the other recruits probably wouldn't enjoy his snarky humor, especially not now. He wondered how was going to play out, and decided that he'd have to keep a sharp lookout for trouble as they went. He checked the chamber of his rifle and pistol, while the last of the squad boarded. Satisfied, he waited for the last of the squad to hop in before reaching out to close the back door he was sitting next to. He waited for whoever was sitting across from him to do the same, before stomping his right boot twice, as his dad had taught him to do. It was a semi-universal signal that everyone was in the vehicle and ready to go. It was used most often when the driver didn't have good visibility of all the passengers, or when there was a rush to get moving.

Condescending. That's what Art thought the plaque was. Just plain condescending. There was some sort of arrogance in that little inscription, Art imagined if it were a person it would be the kind that thinks of themselves as the Everyman when in actuality, they knew nothing about real life. Boy, had Art met a lot of those. It was pretty hard to miss when it was plastered on the walls of the academy. "Like hell, I remember it!" The HQ was impressive though, large and imposing, just like he thought it would be. All marble floor and ceiling that was so high it made you dizzy. There were so many veteran ZPD officers around him, he reckoned it made the squad look like a bunch of lost puppies. And he had met a lost puppy once. The darned thing was a big, blubbering sap.

The breifing set Art on edge a bit. Actually quite a lot. Some Raddik guy might have kidnapped a rookie squad, and there are two possible crime scenes. Odvious the Raven squad were looking at one. But Art just reminded himself that everyone in the group looked perfectly sane and without a death wish. None of them would volunteer the squad. Just as he was begging to ease up Lance raised his hand and recommended squad 66, Lance's squad. And also Art's squad. Damn. Art leaned forwards in his chair and looked like he had been repeatedly punched in the stomach. Hard. When he got back to the BearCat he was going to give that psychopathic fox a good talking to. Or he would just abandon ship, go A-wol for a bit and lay low for a while. No, option number one was much better.

All the way through his trip to the armoury he was desperately trying to stop his ears from twitching. The gear was rather impressive though. Tear gas, a taser rifle and pistol, flash bangs, this was some seriously cool gear. "Hmm, not too shabby. Not too shabby at all! Cool stuff!" He muttered looking down the barrel of the gun. He sat in the BearCat, staring daggers at Lance. When Zach commented on what Lance did, Art nearly blew his top. "Ballsy? Really, solider? No, not, that was insane! Not ballsy in the slightest. Shades, do you have a death wish? Ballsy, really? Ugh!" He shook his fist wildly. He set his fist down and raised his eyebrows. "It's a pretty good career opportunity, though, I'll give you that shades."
