Pokemon - Hoenn: Make a Wish Attempt #? (Always Accepting)

So as I'm trying to find a suitable city for my character to have been raised in, I realize that I know so little about the Pokemon world. Oh lord.

I'm trying to think of a city that is really populated, somewhat polluted, and is centered around business. The closest I got was Castelia City in Unova, and I'll probably go with that unless anyone else has a suggestions for a better place? Ironically, the Pokemon my character owns come from Kalos, but all of those cities are more picturesque. I could modify one of them to better fit what I'm looking for, but I don't know if anyone is already doing anything with Kalos.

Castelia City sounds like your best bet. Though Saffron could work too, seeing as they have Silph Co in the games. Lumiose is a possibility in Kalos. It's big enough you could say there's a good sized area of the city that fits your description.

What you're looking for is how I imagined Unova overall though

@Aphelion I'm with Prints, Castelia does seem like your best bet.

Along with the other cities Prints brought up, I'd also like to bring up Celadon city: Maybe not the biggest place but business based would work and it's been shown to be becoming more polluted, not with the Grimer infested water and all, but we can assume isn't too awful since we've got Erica there as well. Personally though, I think Castelia works best.

Thanks guys, those are good suggestions! I actually ended up modifying her backstory to better suit Lumiose City before reading your posts x.x ugh.

I'll probably have her completed character sheet out today. I couldn't fall asleep at all last night, so I stayed up to watch Pokemon X&Y on Netflix to get a better idea of how Kalos looks while I write. I do some of my best work while I'm dead tired and fueling myself with coffee. I hope, hahaha.

Also, Pokemon X&Y is actually surprisingly good. I haven't liked the anime during the last seasons I tried to watch, but I'm finding this really enjoyable. Although Ash is a little twerp.

I agree. The XY series is enjoyable. I'm not too far in but so far Ash acts like someone with 5 leagues' worth of experience, Bonnie isn't too annoying, Tram Rocket has a decent balance between credible threat and comic relief, and I love the battles. Only thing I could do without is what feels like excessive niceness at times lol. But that's probably just because I'm used to Misty yelling at Ash all the time.

Bonnie, Pikachu, and Dedenne playing ninja is the most adorable thing though

I just want to make sure it's understood that the GLs from the game/anime, even in different regions, won't be in this RP due to the advanced timeline and that it's largely an alternate universe than the games/anime/manga.

This goes for everyone:
Wherever you start/travel/end up, flesh it out. Give it a Gym Leader, or don't. Give it a landmark/something special that makes it stand out. Make it your own and make it have some kind of impact (however small) upon your character. This world is for everyone to create. Flesh out as much as you want about he region in which you being or to which you travel.

Umm... work is exhausting but my team is making amazing progress! Does that count? Lol...
I won't be home for another hour or so, but my whole night and tomorrow is dedicated to RP and Splatoon XD

How about I'll have a concrete draft to send you tomorrow by 9pm central time, and if I don't you can choose what I change my status, user title, avatar, and signature to for a full week. I know it's not much but it might be amusing :P

I just want to check in to see where everyone is in the creation of their CS(s). I'm going to start preparing the OOC and my introductory post over the next few days (I'm working through Wednesday -_-). I'll try to keep up with everyone, but I can't promise my mental state will remain functional enough to get back to everyone properly.

Finishing up the history, and the rest should be easy. Thought tweaking the team might take a while. I won't meet the deadline I gave you, since I forgot I had something I need to do this evening. But I really really hope I'll have it done before I go to sleep today

So I made a few notes on how the introductory post will go. Let's just say it's going to be lengthy and hopefully portray the feel for this RP well enough for you all to get a feel for what I'm hoping to get out of this adventure. ^^

I've written out my character's history, although I noticed that it just isn't sitting well with me so I'm going to revise it to flow better. The movesets are going to take a bit longer for me to write out, but I'll probably PM you for help @Phoenix when I start working on them. At least my character will really only have the one Pokemon to battle with, so that should make this a good bit easier.

I'm optimistic that it shouldn't take longer than the next two days to do this. I get hyped whenever I think about doing this RP, so I'm definitely in this for the long haul. :D
