You don't need it but it's there if you want it.

The group is 90% Spam. And that's where it's taking the activity from. As a non-"spammer", you really don't have an accurate perspective on this.

You're making the grossly false assumption that activity would be much higher in Spam if the Skype group wasn't a thing. You know how before the guild crashed Spam was still rather highly active? Yeah, Skype group was also highly active. It a completely different venue that truly has little bearing on the Spam section of RPG, aside from the fact that the people are mostly brought in from here.

Ha. Yes, as a non-spammer who managed to get one of the most successful RP marketing campaigns of all time done through there, I couldn't possible understand how it might work. Not like I've been on this site since early 2008 or anything...

I remember when spam was the hostile invading force of trolls and twats. Yet here it is now, a permanent part of the site.

Again. It's just like DLC. If you don't want to be in Skype, you don't have to go there, it does no harm to the site either way, and I pretty much proved it hands down by starting one of the biggest role plays on site using it as a marketing tool.

I should know I'm in there 24/7.Oh, and I'm generally not a spammer, so that whole "inner circle" stuff is nonsense. Just ask and someone will add you so long as you're not a complete idiot that will start flame wars for no reason.Even though using it I was able to coordinate one of the largest marketing campaigns for one of my RP's of all time that resulted in . I CANNOT EVEN CLOSE SKYPE.

When I right click and hit "Quit", nothing happens but a defiant beeping noise. Skype has gone sentient and is resisting my commands. I have to use the Windows Task Manager just to close the application, and that doesn't help me with trying to get the damn program to work correctly.

In my opinion, it "truly" does have an actual bearing on Spam. It was only slight back in the day.

After the guild went down, Skype stopped being the off-shoot of the constant that was the Guild. When the Guild died, Skype became the comfortable constant. And now Spam is the off-shoot in people's minds.

Regarding what Sophi said: I love these people. I don't hate the party. I'm just (apparently misguidedly) trying to save what I think is a sinking ship.

It's saddening that I've become the enemy.

I can't decide if it's been historically more common for the person in my shoes or your guys' shoes to be correct. Which is annoying.
