Skype has like 34+ people in it right now and has mostly been used lately for people discussing RP's, or that's what it seems like when I'm online. If you want an add, ask. If you don't, don't ask. If you want an add and then hate it, leave. Easy peasy. It can get annoying if people bicker but that's usually because of Turt and we just give him a time out until he behaves.

The problem has existed for several months, so yes, I've tried restarting a few dozen times. I'm running as an administrator. Smiral, that infographic is very informative, but when "Quit" is clicked all the program does is beep in defiance.

I understand. And I really don't have a problem with it on the surface. Like I said in my edit on the last page, I love Spam and all of the people in Skype. I have just developed a dislike for Skype (the entity) for what I perceived as a negative impact on Spam.

And when this thread ends I will be done talking about it.

Sounds like the problem I had pretty much until the third day we had skype... we then did a system restore to remove it because it was lagging our computer badly.

It was only slight back in the day.After the guild went down, Skype stopped being the off-shoot of the constant that was the Guild. When the Guild died, Skype became the comfortable constant. And now Spam in the off-shoot in people's minds.

Eh, a lot of the active people who aren't around in Spam now are actually people who were never part of Skype. Most of the people in Skype who're way less active in Spam are those who had been talking about moving away from Spam anyway (like Sophi and Trip) and would have used the site death and revival as a reason to fuck off regardless of Skype (and there's a strong argument to be made that it is what kept them around for so long in the first place). Then there are the folks like Hank who have been getting less and less active in both Spam and Skype for a long while. A lot of the others in Skype are people like Xiga, Hellis, and Holmishire that haven't been highly active in Spam for a long time, or maybe never were super active.

There are only a few people in Skype who were fairly active before the guild crash. and weren't already talking about losing interest in Spam. that are now rather inactive whilst being around a lot on Skype. The only ones I can think of who fit that definition are Herzi, Smiral, and me. You're blaming Skype for Spam now being slow and kinda garbage, when in reality there's greater blame to be placed on other things (like the ~month of the site being dead). It's just silly, dude.

My whining is completely justified.

I'm gonna go completely uninstall and then reinstall Skype. If that doesn't work I guess I'll just live with never being able to edit my profile or close the application without using Task Manager.

And in my case, I stopped coming to spam because I couldn't keep up without the Most Recent Unread Post function. Just too confusing to remember what I've read and what I haven't at a glance.
