Seems to me that Gorseval and the XX Legion is a lynchpin of sorts, no other Legion focuses on void combat nearly as much and a landborne force is fucked if they're cut off from their ships

Canonically, Magnus was able to smash Stompas, the equivalent of Titans. It wasn't easy but he could do it.

Alpha-plus literally means "off the charts". Theoretically there is no limit to what an alpha-plus psyker can achieve, and the Lexicanum specifically mentions snapping a Titan in half as an example.

@Sophrus Keep in mind that one Imperial Knight would pose a challenge to a high level psyker, even a primarch. Two increases their threat exponentially with the more you throw at them, the harder they are to deal with

Fair enough. But I imagine it would take gargantuan effort. For example, if Gorvseval was under attack by 100+ knight Titans he would be in serious trouble.

The whole psyker scale thing is enormously vague and inconsistent. If you were going to break it down realistically, it'd be "blank," "normal human," with varying degrees of "well sometimes grandma got premonitions about when the kettle was going to boil," then "psyker," "special character psyker (such as Gorsy and Lydia,)" and finally "plot armored super duper GMPC that can do anything," which is where the Alpha-Alpha Plus types hang out.
