"You're the fastest on ground." said to Sarrai'a, holding up her trusty broom, "but I need someone strong to help move all the furniture out of the house, and then to chop wood."

She placed the broom between her legs and hovered up to above the door frame in order to grab the glowing sign; it was warm to the touch and felt comforting to hold, but all in all, she still felt bad removing it. She then hovered back down to the ground and placed the sign somewhere safe.

"Now the fastest way to send an order would be by sending the order by green flame cauldron..." she paused, "but I don't think that any of the local businesses actually own a cauldron, so I'll just have to fly over."

Sky looks around at the dilapidated building, surprised. She had seen some bad huts and such in her time on the road, but never a building this big. She looks at Lilith, "what can I do to help?" Unsure that she would be much help, but wanting to all the same. If this is all they would be doing for awhile, no one would really need to be healed and she didn't want to prove useless. She seems more lively and slightly more colorful than when they had first met her. The blue tint to her wings was more obvious now, and even shown in her hair.

Cliver nodded at type and headed, set his pack on the ground, ruffled through it to find a harness and rope, and headed off to look over the treeline. There wasn't a lot of variety, but Emmerling had said that pine was fine, so he focused on trying to find a strong, young one. Finding one that looked good put the harness on, through the rope around it, adjusted his sling to be comfortable, and started his accent.

He placed one boot in front of the other, sliding the rope up the shaft as he went. He supposed he could just chop it down at the base, but he knew there were nymphs about. No reason to piss any of them off if he had the time to be careful. Up and up he went until he started to reach the branches, then he unhooked from the rope and grabbed hold of them to pull himself higher. Once he got a fair ways up he rest of a sturdy branch and unsheathed his ax, holding it just under the head. He looked up, took note of where the majority of the weight was on the tree top, felt the breeze, then tapped the trunk at an angle.

"TIMBER!" He shouted, as the entire head of the tree fell off and crashed into the ground far below. Satisfied, he rehooked himself to the tree and started making his was back down.

Lilith pulled out a notebook and quill from her satchel before sitting on a stump, pulling out a vial of ink, and writing down the order of wood before tearing the piece of paper, folding it up, placing it in her pocket, and stuffing the other things back in her bag. She then stood up, brushed herself off, placed her broom between her legs, and kicked off.

She peddled her legs like a bicycle to gain height, and once she was above the treeline she waved, informed the group that she'd be back soon and took off. It had been a few days since she had been to town, so she was looking forward to seeing the familiar faces of the shopkeepers. It took around 30 minutes to get to Riften (the closest town), so she was quite tied by the time she touched down. Panting a little it, she noticed that she had caught quite a bit of attention from her flashy entrance since she wasn't a regular face in town...she used this to her advantage.

"Where's...the nearest...lumber mill?" she panted, readjusting her dress.

Fortunately, there was a young woman who was also going there,so they just went together. The order didn't take long to process, and they knew where the guild was due to past business arrangements, so Lilith payed the man with the money she had received from Mundy, and they informed her that they'd send a couple of wagons her way once they were done cutting it. Now all there was left to do was fly back and inform the others.

Meanwhile Drek had recovered from his drunken stupor and was currently playing with the wolf pups, throwing sticks and the like for them to return while also attempting to teach them a few rudimentary commands to limited success.

The pups looked up at Drek with innocent eyes. He had gotten them to sit by pushing down on their bums, but that was about it. The two began to whimper and howl in hunger as Lilith touched back down at the guild. She informed everyone that the wood would be here soon before turning to see that the warlock had finally recovered from his drunken state.

"Good job keeping an eye on them, but remember that puppies need to eat every couple of hours to stay healthy. I think I have some meat and a pulverizer in the kitchen, so if you could soften it up and feed them, that'd be helpful."

*After tucking Caelus into sleep and watching him for awhile, Sarrai'a came out to check on how the pups were, and heard Lilith talking about bring them food from inside the lodge and gave a slight frown.* "Bounding with the wolves will be good, and so setting aside a meal a day that feed them is good, but they also need to learn to hunt on thier own if we want them to be able to track for us, as such I would like to take them out hunting for most of their meals, once they get a little older."

Cliver drops the last few feet to the bottom and walks over to the log laying in a pile of broken branches and pine needles. "Hey Emmerling, think this is enough for your sled?" He calls.

Lilith turned to Drek as Sarrai'a finished speaking.

"Now, it looks like it'll be at least two months before learning to hunt becomes an option for these two...so until then, I'd like you to think about whether you'd like Sarrai'a to teach them to hunt or not, since you were the one most adamant on keeping them, Drekven. Just know that if she does teach them to hunt, the wolves will want to leave as teenagers due to their nomadic nature, and they'll only be occasional guests. However, continuing to feed them up to adulthood isn't risk free either, it takes many generations to breed the wild out of a wolf, so these two will never truly be domesticated. Although they'd have more incentive to stay here where they're receiving love and food, it's in a wolf's blood to be on the move unless they have puppies, so they still might want to wander away from home and there'd be the risk of them not properly knowing how to hunt and take care of themselves. Just think it over for a while, okay?"

She then bent over, scratched the two pups on the head and walked in to the decrepit guild to begin removing all the furniture since no one had started that yet.

Sky eventually decides to assist Lilith, despite not being an official member yet. She figured she needed to make herself somewhat useful, even if she was only going to stay for a short while.

The first thing Lilith did was empty out the main hall and kitchen area so she wouldn't bump into anything with the other furniture. She then moved on to the office and library and had Sky assist her in emptying out the bookshelves and drawers so the wooden structures would be easier to lift and carry out. Most of the rooms were fairly easy until she got to her room which was the definition of organized chaos, she had everything right where she wanted it and she was especially worried about the notes she had pinned in precise areas around her walls...she'd have to take extra time taking them off in order, so she decided to leave it for last. Instead, she corked up all her beakers full of strange potions and moved them down into the stone basement where no one would get into them and the outside elements wouldn't effect them. She then also maneuvered her cauldron, larger mortar and pestle, and all of her ingredients down to the basement as well. She, however, was stumped when her bed was too heavy to move.

Emmerling’s fist went to his forehead when Lilith took her broom and began to levitate. His eyes widened and he ducked his head whispering rapidly under his breath. Magic. He did not like magic. Once it held a place in his heart, but the days of boyhood wonder were long behind him. It was a tool of meddling and trickery, and it often put hardworking men like him in a tough financial place. The building around him was decrepit. Not in the worst of shape possible, but its lingering protection by magic disallowed from the minds of the owners the need for it to be physically repaired. Emmerling could forgive that to an extent, but magical protection very rarely was more practical than practical maintenance.

“I’d prefer no more magic to build this hall back up.” Emmerling grumbled, “Fine if you fly’ta get wood, but a magic cauldron. Mmm, that sort puts good merchant men outta work.”

He exhaled and removed his fist from his forehead. There was much work to be done, and practical applications would be necessary. The guild had been paid well, but likely not well enough to acquire all the supplies they needed. While the others talked among themselves, Emmerling stood red faced with his fists against his hips. Crafting and building was his art and it was all he knew. His tools were his paint brush, but he needed his paint.

“We need couple gallons of boiled linseed oil ta varnish this wood we be collectin’, but this ain’t gonna be necessary until we’ve been finished refinin’ the wood.” Emmerling said stepping among the others with a beaten sheet of parchment and a stick of charcoal. “Now . . . We’ll be needin’ beeswax for sealin’ the place, and tha’ ain’t cheap so we may be needin’ our own apiary.” He began writing down some of the information with crude strokes. Beyond the words of his trade, Emmerling was functionally illiterate.

As the group worked on their various tasks, he went around the guild hall and finished marking the damage to the building. It was tiring for him to walk up and down the steps and through every room, but an aura of satisfaction surrounded him as he did. When he at last finished, he stepped outside.

“Oi! Cliver, don’t worry ‘bout them nymphs!” Emmerling shouted as Cliver dropped a sizeable portion of a tree. It would help, but they needed all they could get. “If’n they give ya any trouble, remember give ‘em a good yell an’ tell them ya can’t just become a tree! We need some shelter as well”

A cough rattled his body shortly after this. His voice had strained again, and the feeling of air rushing through his throat and lungs set off an itch and irritation within him. Emmerling doubled over, coughing as if he were trying to expel a spirit from his body, and when the fit passed he stood with blurred vision and a feather to his step. Lilith had returned at some point, and Cliver had climbed from his tree and yelled for him.

“Ya! Should be good, if ya could find me rope an’ some metal sheets or rods that ain’t bein’ used then I can get ta work.” Emmerling said as he walked over to the felled tree. “Hmm, yes . . . This guild might be needin’ a lil’ more money.” He huffed and walked off toward the guild hall writing down information as he went to find Lilith.

“Oi, guild master.” Emmerling declared as he marched through the hall, finding Lilith struggling with a heavy bed. “I ‘ave some supplies ya’ll be needin’.” He shoved the parchment in front of Lilith, “Ya need ta take more contracts.” He said plainly. “Ya gonna need several gallons of boiled linseed oil to varnish the wood so it ain’t gonna rot fast. Ya gonna need quite a bit’ta beeswax ta seal the cracks in tha rooms. Course tha’s expensive, so ya might be wantin’ an apiary of ya own. Among otha’ things.”

Emmerling frowns slightly letting the information sink in. The cost of such demands were very high. For a functioning guild in a building of such a size it would still be a modest portion of their yearly budget, but for a guild of such size it might as well be impossible. “Now, I don’ want ta be negative, but I know ya can’t afford all this yet, an’ not all of this be necessary jus’ yet. But this is what ya’ll need ta be self sufficient. Ya have land, ya ain’t poor in property wealth, so ya might want ta think of sellin’ some land, or puttin’ this land ta work so it makes ya some money.”

"Cross one sometime, then try to tell me people can't become trees." Cliver said as he followed Emmerling into the guild hall, figuring that this would be the only available place to find the materials the man needed. He struck by the interior of the place. It was the kind of building you hear about in stories, the forgotten manor home in the middle of the woods whose only inhabitants were the cackling witch, the grinning ghoul, or any number of haunts and monsters that would do little to deter young men looking to prove their bravery by spending a bone chilling night within. He spent a few nights in buildings that looked just like, if not worse than, this and it brought on a wave of nostalgia. Most of the time the rumors of hauntings were bunk, but sometimes you got lucky.

He strolled into Lilith's room and saw her struggling with the bed. "Here, let me help. Take one side." He said, grabbing it.
