Nestled deep into the forest was a shoddy looking wooden building that looked like it was barely standing. The wear and tear was ridiculous; moss and fallen leaves covered the roof and started to rot holes in the ceiling, cobwebs blanketed the tops of the pillars that were too high for any one person to clean, there were strange holes in the walls and mysterious burn marks that appeared as if they were formed in combat, and all in all, the place looked...well, abandoned. However, despite the wear and tear, the sign above the open door still appeared as noble as ever. "Grayfall Guild" it read. Despite being a stone sign, moss had yet to grow on it like all the other natural material, and the sign appeared to give of a faint glow as if it were of magic origin.
A strong gust of wind pushed the old, rusted hinges on the heavy door past their limit, causing them to break and let the large door slam into the floor, startling the only resident inside the building.
"AHHHHH!" the girl shrieked before looking over and regaining her composure. "Gosh diddly darn dang it!" she swore, marching over to the newest thing to break in this garbage dump called home. "Now how am I supposed to fix this? Everything's been falling apart without Elliot's protection magic...I guess this place really is over 400 years old."
She sat down on the door in a huff contemplating what to do next.
Behind her, it could be seen that the inside of the guild was in much better shape that the outside; the floors were swept and the whole place was free of dust and there was cozy feeling inside, minus the holes in the walls. The fireplace was crackling, the bar was at least semi stocked, and there was even a welcome mat...now if only there were customers.
