Yeah, when he went up against Cell for the first time he held his own for little while and then got beat. He also got knocked out by Buu pretty easy. All I'm saying is dbz did not do that good of a job at making a lot the characters essential.

I know, I really hate that about the series when I watch it

Also one thing I kinda hate is, how Goku was nearly always needed to fight everyone, and how nearly all the time when they kick someone's ass they would become their friends.

I don't think any of the enemies who got beat in DBZ became good guys apart from Vegeta.

Buu was reincarnated, so I don't count him.

Non of the good guys actually beat 18, so I don't count her.

Tien and Yamcha were in the old one, Well mostly Tien really, they fought in the torny when Goku was a kid. I can't think of Yamcha to be a real bad guy.

Oh, in Dragonall, EVERY villian got beat by Goku and became good.

Wel;l, Tien becoming good was actually a well executed one, with Master Roshi making Tien question who he was and who he wanted to be.

And no, Yamcha was never really a bad guy. He just started following the good guys in the hopes of getting the wish for himself and fell in love with Bulma along the way.
