Second character to run with second group!
Full Name: Marnie Robinson
Alias: Marian
Age: 22
Gender: female
Race: Human
Homeland: The Republic of Texas, now a State.
Appearance: Tall and red-headed with bright blue eyes and freckles, Marian is a descendant of Robin Hood and Maid Marian. Not that she knows that. It's why she's such a fast draw and a sharp shot, and why she can handle a sword better than a Spanish landlord.
Languages: English, Spanish, Apache, Tonkawa, and some Lipan and Commanche, and some Latin.
Height/Weight: Five foot Seven inches
Outfit/Armor: Casually, she has a cotton dress made from homespun and a lace shawl for Sundays, several plaid or gingham blouses, a few long denim skirts and some real purdy boots with snakes and crosses tooled into the leather. Most often, and especially for missions, she dresses in leather chaps over denim Levi's, a plaid cotton blouse, and a duster with a leather hat. All the leathers and dyes are a dark, earthy brown best for blending in with the surroundings. It served its purpose in El Paso. Gotta hide that red hair.
Hunting Gear: A belt of bolts across her chest to go with her crossbow, which is a sturdy thing made of oak and brass. If she fails to shoot you before you get close, she can knock you with the damn thing quite effectively without damaging it. She also has a Spanish rapier that she is proficient with. She likes the crossbow better than pistols for a few reasons: it's quieter than pistols, and she can re-use her bolts, and she prefers sharp shooting more than large gunfights. She keeps a pistol anyway, though. One of those six shooter Smith & Wessons, but its more for a quick self defense. She makes an excellent sniper.
Likes: smoked meats, hot coffee, singin', and tequila
Dislikes: rich folk takin' 'vantage of simple folk, horse/cattle thieves, la-di-da yankees, folks as don't like her singin'
Occupation: Highwayman, thank ya kindly. Now you'll be handin' over those gold bouillons.
Skill Set: Picking locks, sniper with her crossbow or quick draw with her pistol. Rapier when she runs out of bullets. Good at hiding in the wild, and handles rough living well. She can move very quietly. She can lasso and hogtie as needed. No fear when it comes to animals.
Magic Abilities: None.
Pets/Companions: She has a very very fast horse named Bodaway ("Fire maker"). Perhaps that one has the magic in it. She got it from an Apache shaman after saving him from bandits. Sometimes it feels like that horse could outrun a steam engine. She appears to be some sort of ordinary quarter horse in a chestnut color with a blond mane and tail.
Personality: She prefers anything that takes her out into the wilderness and away from cities. She doesn't like wasting time at the guild when she could be out dealing with bandits, wendigos, and other beasties.
Background: Marian hails from El Paso, Texas. (Which just recently became a state.) She grew up on the frontier, mingling with a mixture of European immigrants, Spaniards, and various Native tribes. Her parents started out wanting to go all the way to California, but settled in El Paso seeing a good ranching opportunity. She has 5 brothers (2 older, 3 younger) back at the ranch, and she didn't grow up terribly lady like. She prefers rough living over sitting in a house knitting. When the railroad tried to take her family's ranch when she was 14, she and her elder brothers saddled up and went out robbing trains and sabotaging rail building camps until the company decided to change their route and go another way. This was how she learned to sniper, and her brothers were amazed to find her such a natural that they taught her to shoot pistols and bows. Aside from her lawlessness, she has a gentler side that just wants to be out of doors and free. She enjoys singing, and knows a lot of folk songs.
Unique Abilities: She's a fantastic sniper with a crossbow, always on the mark, and moves quite silently in brush and wilderness. Sometimes its like she can see in the dark like a cat, and darkness doesn't affect her sniper skills much. Excellent horsemanship.
