Yen Said probably knows that darkness is corrupting Thomas and has some idea what's going on with Reno (details ate likely very vague). After all he is practically a god in the series.

That is indeed true. And what is going on with Reno should remain a secret for now. And yea, details that Yen Sid would know would be very vague since it isn't anything that has been seen before

Reno will meet Belle as they both are following the Wyvern that leads to Horned King's chamber. So Thomas probably will meet up with Jake.

Reno already left the group to chase Creeper, the same thing what Belle is doing. I guess Thomas just bumps into the group, or he also finds his way to the Horned King's chamber.

I don't remember Reno leaving, but I guess he could have sped ahead quickly after going all Roy Mustang vs. Lust on the Heartless that Creeper sent after them with lightning.

Since they are low level as you mentioned in your post where Belle and Thomas fought them then they could have been instantly dispatched by Reno this way.
