So who decides who starts a mission? Do you have to have the minimum amount of people in order to start a mission?

Excellent. I've already posted so whenever you're ready you can do your thang. Lucy is distracting them with gunfire so if you need to build up your charge meter or something you got time. Just remember there are two, so save some for me!

Well yeah you kinda have to have the minimum amount, otherwise I wouldn't haven't stated a minimum amount. It was to ensure interaction between you guys whilst striving towards a common goal.

As for the one who starts a mission, it's whoever posts it first. Hopefully those of you who have chosen to do a mission are able to figure that out between yourselves.

@Kalas1x1 can't be 1x1? I don't think anyone is interested in that mission but me.

Well, it's a Min. 5 people mission. So you're allowed to create 4 NPCs to fill the number requirement for it. I've used that system to make more plot critical missions solo-able, in the event that not enough people are interested. Like in this current instance. Besides, you might just need to be patient and wait to see if anyone else would be interested in helping you out. Asking the question wouldn't hurt, would it?

These current missions, by the way, are tailored toward defending and clearing General Interest so that we might eventually move along the plot. :) The quicker they're done, the quicker we move along. But that's not a pass to rush it in a few posts, just bear that in mind. ;)

@KalasI figured people would move onto the other plots after they finished the current mission they're on. If I had known to bandwagon, then I might have but because Matheu is from 1x1 it made since that he would be there defending his territory.

I technically already have two named NPCs with the Peacekeeper unit. I could come up with two more. I like to believe that we have grown men and women in this game, and if they want to participate in a mission, then they will or won't (since I now know they weren't a mandatory GM-guided thing). So, if no one is interested in 1x1, then they just aren't lol.

But the idea of 1x1 being actually 1x1 makes it fit the thread topic it is modeled after. If I have to post once a day for five days of the week to convince you that the battle was long enough because I tend to post 4+ pages any way, and I can write a novel if need be lol. Then I will do so.

I think you should read the mission brief again to be honest. Namely this part: "A new wave of KBots have broken through from the 1x1 Section." All of these missions take place in General Interest. And, like I said, I couldn't hurt to ask. But then the RP has only just started and not everyone has written up their posts yet. Patience is pretty much the only other thing I can suggest, unless of course you just fancy creating two more NPCs and soloing it. It's entirely up to you.

@KalasI will make that correction.

What my concern is waiting a month for a mission that I was ready to start. By then, the active players in the other missions will have finished those missions solely because they were more active than those who we are waiting on, and then after they finish those missions, moving over to the other missions that weren't completed. Therefore, making me have to have waited "X" amount of days/weeks to start a mission I could have probably started and had finished by then. That is my concern.

While that does sound like a legit concern, you realize this RP is barely a week old, neh? Gotta give it some room to breath dood, otherwise if you keep smothering people about it you're not going to go anywhere with it.

@Holy Soldier

I think I mentioned this in the Skype chat, after Lucius had stated that they wouldn't likely be taking part in the missions, but I'll notice if and when a mission is being neglected. And, as a Co-Gm (& with the go ahead from Cynder), I'll make the decision to either have the mission played out as expected, or write up a new mission reacting to the failure of the neglected one.

Simply put, neglecting a mission will likely result in consequences that may take higher priority over other mission lines.

EDIT:

I'm also toying with the idea of not releasing new missions until the current ones are at least started. If a mission loses a member mid-playthrough, causing a serious delay, depending on the actions of the other members in that mission, I could either allow them to complete it or fail the mission.

I'm still ironing out the details though.

@KalasDoes this consequence affect me for having jumped on a mission that could potentially become neglected? Lol

@Lucius Cypher Don't worry I'm fine, it's just that I hate most things in the world and would just like to be alone instead of dozing around with a billion other people on my hectic work place.

I was going mad and wanted to swear all the others to hell for making such a chaotic workplace and not ordening anything. Even messing up my own work area, god. Well that is finally over at least.

@Holy Soldier Chill, plenty of time in the world for finishing the mission. Maybe you can do something else while you wait for the mission to start. Like making your character drag others into the mission with FORCE.

@liferusherMatheu is a soloist. I don't write against my character's personality. The Black Knight has always been a challenger. But just because Matheu is that way doesn't mean people can't do the mission. He just isn't a team player, but the Peacekeeper Forces are working with him indirectly any way. :)

But the whole point was, I didn't want to be punished by waiting in limbo for people who may never show up. The "I could do something else in the meantime" unless I can put a time stamp that will have Matheu be in yesterday or the day before of the current timeline, I don't see how my time wouldn't be spent doing the mission. I just think if a character is in the exact same area of a mission and the missions simply state: "kill bots" and they are killing bots in that same exact area but just are not in the mission, unless if it is to exempt those who never claimed the mission from receiving the in-game rewards, it just makes no sense to me.

Well looks like you got yourself a double-edge sword there matey. You want to play solo on a mission that requires a certain amount of team playing, or at least the willingness to join up. Honestly speaking, if you never intended (In-character) to actually work with anyone, why bother joining a mission in the first place? Just do what I'm already doing and find bots to kill, if that's all you intend to do. That way you get to keep soloing as needed and no one has to wait for you, nor do you have to wait for anyone else.

The only reason I never choose a mission is because I don't want to be locked into doing something I'd get bored with (Which is exactly what Lucy also thinks). I'm meeting with some friends elsewhere too, so I'm just passing by until this little spat with my current guests is done.

@Lucius CypherMatheu's personality is not my personality. Just clarifying that. I am merely his writer.

I also don't see the point of killing bots for the hell of it. The missions give a purpose and plot to the slaughter.
