I have an explanation for how a foreigner would be present~!

Washed up on the shores of Hokkaido, kindly natives took care of her and nursed her back to health, and now she's gone to the 'mainland' (*cough* Hahaha, calling Honshu the mainland...). If anyone would have what she needs to get back to where she came from, it would probably be the guys on Honshu.

Kyushu is considerably more likely than Hokkaido. Also, for most of Japan's history, especially this part, it was independent.* XD

*Of imperial control, at least. It's more controlled the more modern you get.

All right, here's my tentative CS. Let me know if anything needs to be changed.

Name: Shiroko
Age: 16

Job Class: Kunoichi
Weapon: Shuriken, kunai, shortbow, metal-plated gloves

Clothing: Sarashi, loose white tunic, arm and leg wraps, tabi boots
Height: 4' 10"

Personality: Shiroko is completely focused when on a mission, ignoring anything unrelated. She tends to stay separate from anyone who is not a ninja or samurai, and rarely understands jokes or informal language. She does have moments where her natural energy shows in social situations, however.

History: Shiroko was raised her entire life in an elite ninja village. Life there revolved around training, and the place had a very strict military discipline at all times. The village's soldiers worked as mercenaries throughout Japan, and took different names that reflected their characteristics. Shiroko is the newest addition to their ranks, and was selected for this mission due to her skill and relentless dedication. She takes her current name from her clothing, which has yet to be stained by bloodshed.

Strengths:
Ghostly Stealth - Shiroko's ninja training is her primary strength, and allows her to be almost invisible when she needs to. She can hide almost in plain sight.
Ninja Weapons - Shiroko is trained in the use of assassination weapons, and carries a surprising number of them hidden on her person.
Survivalist - Since ninja often operate alone in hostile settings, Shiroko has the knowledge necessary to survive for extended periods without supplies.
Infiltrator - Through a combination of her small size, flexibility, and training, Shiroko can maneuver her way through or over almost any obstacle.

Weakness:
Isolated - Having been raised outside society, Shiroko has very little social skill. She tends to think in very literal terms.
Raised by Deceivers - Shiroko is nearly incapable of letting down her guard. She distrusts absolutely everyone to some degree.
Tiny - Simply put, Shiroko cannot take a hit. She is completely outclassed in a fair fight that lasts for more than a few blows.
Youthful - Shiroko has yet to reach her full potential, and is still considered a child by most people.
Rigid Training - Shiroko only knows how to use the weapons she carries. With anything else, she is only as good as the average peasant.

Likes: Meditation, training, rivers, friendly competition, mystical creatures
Dislikes: Crowds, animals, fire

Dream: Prove herself to her village leaders
Fear: Fail her mission

I don't think so lol, but maybe if you made her like a spirit or something? Spirits do have powers... Priestess too but it's a different kind of powers.

No, there is currently peaceful times. The war is after (im not going by actual history, only using bits and pieces :p) but so far, peaceful.

Ill look at the CS's later.. phone out of data.

Aaand Sorceress.. nah. Priestess or Spirit can suffice in the magical aspect.

Miyamoto Mizuki

Personality: Mizuki is a adventerous woman who has a innocent curiousity to just about everything. Shes a bit playful, but also innocently affectionate. Not afraid to give out hugs. Usually honest, she doesnt hold back her words and doesnt realize they could hurt someone's feelings. Since being locked away from the outside world for most of her life, Mizuki holds little knowledge of it. Naive and gullible, she's quite trusting and will believe almost anything someone says. Although she enjoys practicing the way of the sword, she doesn't really enjoy killing. She is kind hearted and caring but she can also be very stubborn, and will do what she wants to do. Even if its reckless and means she ventures off by herself.
History: Mizuki was born on the day her father won the war and became the emperor to her one of his many wives. He was shocked when she was born with striking white hair and golden eyes. At first, he was furious, thinking that his wife had slept with another man but then recalled the demon. Fearing this was the curse, he hid away his daughter from the people, making sure to hide her because he believed she would be accused as a demon. The emperor feared the people would revolt at the thought that his line was that of demons. He decided to name her after the moon for her white silver hair. During her youth, she grew up wondering what was beyond the palace walls. Quite a few times, she snuck away though her fathers loyal servants would bring her back. Preventing her getting anywhere near the gates. Her father taught her the way of the sword, thinking that she may need to defend herself due to her looks. To her though, it was just one of the most fun activities. On the day of her 20th birthday, she panicked when she awoke to a pair of fluffy canine pointy ears and a long fluffy tail. Going to her father, she showed him what happened, and to the Emperor's dismay.. he realized that it was the sign of the curse the demon had bargained. He feared that his daughter would turn into a full fledge demon, and would destroy all of Japan if he did not hold up his side of the bargain. Defeated, he told his daughter that in order to fix this, she would have to go to Mount Fuji. But she was not to show anyone her looks, warning her of the possible dangers. Mizuki agreed, feeling both excited and nervous about actually leaving the palace walls.
Strengths:
1)Half Demon Strength and Speed, slighty better then regular humans.
2)A talented swordswoman. Able to use it with ease.
3)Has a heightened sense of smell and hearing.
Weakness:
Mental
1)Stubborn and Pride, they often lead Mizuki going off on her own and just getting herself in bad situations.
2)Has a hard time fighting actual combat. She doesnt like it and will usually either not fight at all or even stop others from doing it.

Physical
1)Although she is a half demon, her body is fragile of a regular human. Easily killable by demons or other means.
2)Low stamina. She gets tired easily, and will suddenly pass out if she uses too much energy.
3)Her heightened sense of smell and hearing is useful, but it also causes problems. Too strong of smells or too loud noises will cause massive headache's, dizziness, and even fainting.
Likes: Exploring, meeting new people, sweets, cherry blossoms, the stars and moon, books, Samurai, swords, comfortable clothing, apples
Dislikes: Loud noises, strong smells, fields of strong smelling flowers, cruel people, stubborn people, birds
Dream: To be a famous Samurai one day and explore all of Japan
Fear: Being useless to others and being in the way. Oh and birds.

Technically I'm using an uchigatana and a wakizashi.

Originally I was thinking of having an odachi or bajozutsu but decided against it.

Mhmm im sorry im not very keen on foreigners. If this was the Edo period then yeah but it isnt. Washing ashore seems unlikely depending on the country. If they are chinese fine but anybody else I feel a bit doubtful

Well naginatas are quite large and ungainly and were used mainly for cavalry defense which when Kaede has to do it she picks up a naginata thats lying around

I think Asuka and Hanami will get along. They are both peaceful. :3
