It's not the demon that's attacking, it's shadows. I think shadows are immune to everything but light :p

Also, surprised Yuki and Akane didn't acknowledge the shadows much o.o

They can hit demons but it's physical appearance is a shadow. Swords and stuff won't work. Evil spirits are immune to physical things. If the actual demon was there, then they could handle it, buuuut that demon is where Asuka and Hanami are heading.

But without the Priestess, the evil energy can't be banished and soooo. They're fucked xD
