Ally listened to Marcus's words smiling a bit at his compliments of her fighting. He continued on to talk about the others and their skills. Basically everyone here could defend themselves, there was no question about that. Zoey agreed with Marcus, that if they didn't do something, who would? Aimee cautiously jumped on board too, stating their unity could make them an actual changing force in crime.

With each new word, the idea of becoming a vigilante became increasingly attractive. Now that she thought about it, she did have that spandex body suit she wore for Halloween a couple times, posing as her "own hero." That would give her full movement and conceal her identity well. Her heart raced as she thought of actually making her fantasy a reality.

Then Trip began to speak, bringing her mind back into reality. These weren't comic books. Although she had extremely minor training in disarming someone, who was to say she would have the time before they pulled the trigger? Ally sighed, thinking, and finally spoke aloud. "Then we have to sneak up on them, right? Get them before they get us. Plus we can fortify our costumes with Kevlar. I mean, it won't help at blank range, but..." she trailed off, unsure if she wanted to continue with her next words. Eventually she decided to.

"Look, I wanted to be a cop for a while, but seeing them go down made me lose faith, so I switched to Sports Medicine as a career. You guys know this, but the thing is I've mentally prepared myself to lay down my life for others. That's what a good cop- a good human is willing to do." She looked at her three friends that had lost their fathers. Ally hadn't had contact with her mother in years, and her father was her Superman. Imagining him gone brought tears to her eyes. She wiped them away quickly, her passion now growing as she spoke again. "If I can lay down my life to give someone else theirs, that will be okay. That's a risk I'm willing to take. Trip is right, there are people who won't hesitate to take us, or to track us and take our loved ones. This isn't a game. We have to be willing to put down our lives for strangers. If you guys are willing then... Then we're doing this."

Her heart swelled as she reached up and gripped her Wonder Woman necklace. Was this what her idol would do? Would she encourage her friends to join her in a dangerous battle like this? Would she encourage them to back down? Ally wasn't sure, but she knew her friends needed to understand this won't be a game, and was glad Trip brought up his point.
Ally watched Percy's body transform, her jaw dropped. She had seen many scenes like this before on television, but nothing like this in reality. She felt sick, watching every little wrinkle grow until Percy looked more dried out than a raisin. Her stomach churned and she swallowed hard, knowing this was a scene that would haunt her memories for years to come.

The demon grew in power and size. Ally became nervous, but she had new allies, so she felt a bit of confidence too. The demon then turned his attention to the lizard man and her. She remembered how the demon smashed through Marcus, and she felt furious. Despite not knowing the exact metal Marcus was made of, it didn't seem like titanium. It was like the demon purposely went for the more vulnerable target. Ally gritted her teeth. These drills would be much more dangerous than the maces, Ally was sure of that. Her focus turned to her new companion, who destroyed Percy's other arm before his demise. Glad he's on my side, she thought, knowing fighting two brutes would not be easy, especially with her lack of experience in fighting abnormal people.

The demon came closer. Ally looked around the street and found what she was looking for- a manhole cover. She raced to it. In her human state, she could lift about her own bodyweight and these were around twenty pounds less than her. She knew her strength was enhanced in her metal form, though she didn't know how to measure that yet. She reached down and lifted the cover with surprising ease. "Lizard Man! Watch out!" she shouted, hoping all those times playing Ultimate Frisbee in P.E. would pay off. She spun around and launched the cover at the demon, hoping it would at least distract the creature from tearing into the lizard guy's tough flesh, if not actually hit the demon.
Helena sat back in her bus seat, simply relaxing and reading a book. Though she did have earphones in, the soft R&B playing more served as ambient music than an actual form of entertainment. She read a book focused on a team of heroes, and was quite enjoying herself. Hours seemed to fly by as she read- so much so that she almost didn't notice when they finally reached the Academy.

They rolled to a stop and were told to leave their belongings behind. Helena didn't mind this as she exited the bus, as there wasn't much worth stealing anyway. She looked up at the academy, amazed to be in a place touched by Dan Green. Her heart skipped a beat as she saw someone up looking down on them as they exited. I wonder if that's him, she thought. They were making history by being the first class to be taught in this place.

The woman looked around and saw three people gathering together. She wasn't sure if they all knew each other, or just friendly strangers. Either way, they would have to meet each other anyway, right? Helena walked up to the group. "You guys excited too?" she asked, wanting to strike up some small talk until the tour or whatever began.

Ally wasn't able to look up to see the new addition to the fight, but she did close her eyes as the yelling grew closer. She braced herself for impact, and everything went to pieces. The man let go of her, but she was also hit by... Well she wasn't sure, but she knew the cling of metal wasn't from her hitting herself.

Once the fall was over she sprang up, her eyes now open again. Another metal-person stood, and frankly, Ally was shocked. Did the mysterious voice that spoke over the area earlier purposely collect people with metal forms? She couldn't be sure, and the lizard man in the background wasn't a big help to finding out. Is he a convict too? He's charging over here, she thought, keeping a wary eye out for him. He wasn't dressed like a prisoner or anything, but she couldn't be sure.

Marcus then began to state who and who wasn't a convict. "Hey, thanks for helping me. I'm not a convict," she stated, slightly irritated. Not at him, but that she needed to be saved. After all her hard work, training, exercising, studying, and she still needed saving. Then again, she wasn't fighting normal humans.

Now, Percy began to speak. His demon was ready transforming, and the ends of his arms looked deadly. Ally took a step back, trying to figure out how to tackle the problem. Either we get the demon to hit that big guy, she thought, studying the newformed arms, Or one distracts the demon, while the other gets Percy. She liked the second plan better, and wished she could communicate it with the metal man.

The demon began to violently swing, and Ally quickly backed away farther. She got back into a basic boxer's stance, keeping her arms up. Either she would have to parry the blows or dodge them quickly. She wasn't sure if the demon could make a dent in titanium, but she didn't want to find out either.

@forums I finally added my description. Sorry it took so long. XD
@Slingshot Dude, you introduced the hero concept so well. I couldn't have done it better, I love your post so much.
Sorry I didn't have this is my subscriptions. XD
@Fury Panda Oh no. XD I mean, don't get me wrong, the Cali one can be very bad (hence the gangs and mentions in many West Coast raps, especially Snoop Dogg), but it can also be great. I just didn't want the city to get a bad rap or anything because of this thread. XD
