You should at least give them something to go up against. Yes it's not pinned down to any type, but you should throw matchups at everyone.

Put some more effort into GMing man

Just that little bit.

When you play a game, deciding yourself the full details of what happens next is... Not really fun. Especially when you have to play it out all by yourself. I'm literally trudging through this segment now so that I can make random encounters for other people's groups, with a chosen party, and since there is a loss state for these encounters, they're going to be done as a PvP.

Think about it this way, when you play a game, you don't know what may happen next, and that is in large part of the fun, and the reason repetitive design is considered bad, because it's not interesting and because if it's repetitive, we already know what's going to happen or what we're going to have to do.

Dude... I'm trying I really am A close family member of mine just passed away, and I have to help set up a funeral service, I just found out my grandfather has cancer, two of the closest people in my life are moving out of state, and I'm starting school tomorrow. I've had to drop RPs because of all of this, and I'm trying not to just let this become stagnant like it was last time, and I just left it. So don't judge my GMing skills or how much effort I'm putting into GMing when you don't know what's going on in my life. To you it may seem like it's not a lot, but to me it's a lot to try and balance all of this with my life, and I'm putting in a lot more effort in than what you may think.

Let's be honest here. Your Pokémon really doesn't have to learn the move to know it. If it has a strong enough tail, it can use tail whip offensively. There are some things like that in the games/show that I really don't understand. That and how Primeape can still have Iron tail from Mankey when he doesn't have a tail in his evolution.

Everyone else I am LOVING the posts. After everyone has finished their battles I'll post continuing the Dune Town adventure.

It'll be a combination of achieving the required level, and bond with their trainer. Once they've achieved the required level, we as players will be allowed to choose when they evolve.

For instance during mid-battle, when the need arises, other dramatic display. We don't have to play this exactly like a game after all.

Honestly I'm pulling up a lot of inspiration from the anime and how they seem to do things. I think it fits.

Also lastly @AbysmalDemon, what Pokemon do the Nexus Grunts have? Also, I've posted. Take a look at the battle and tell me if anything's up.

Everything seems good in your post. Team nexus grunts aren't like in the games or the show where they carry around only three or four species and fight with them. They have a wide range of dragon, electric, poison, dark, and some bug types.

Alright, I'm seeing levels between 5-13 with varying numbers of mon. My thoughts would be between 7-15. But 15 is pretty much pushing it as 16 is where a starter evolves. Though it is possible that the Mon could go to 16, but chooses not to evolve quite yet. And then there is also the strength via skill vs strength via physical... so that could lower that.

I would say put your mon at level 13 right now.

@Sho Minazuki What different way of evolution were you thinking? Also, I believe I'm next with Alex and the shiny non-mega Metagross, or if you want his non-shiny mega Gallade. Whichever you prefer.

I can do the time skip. Though he's literally rocking a single mon for a good chunk of his career. How would I handle the power growth on that one pokemon exactly?

Well, if you are planning on going 1 mon for quite a while, you would be focusing more on that one rather than what others are doing focusing on multiple. So your Treecko's level would be higher than some of the others but not drastically.

Your preference. For smaller Nexus battles like this I'm fine with you writing it yourself. Only for the bigger ones are you required to titanpad.

You can start either at the beginning with the other trainers for the event and do a timeskip, or you can start with the experience and around the same amount of mons as everyone else at the same time as when it is currently in the RP.

@Sketcher Yes a good 8-12 more trainers in the lab.

Also, Del Rosas one of the admins sort of has an alter ego... But not so much. More like his personality changes a lot, like from how you saw him in the helicopter worried about harming people, to how he was in my most recent post putting a cigarette out on some guys neck.

Charlie ran around to find Deneb and his Maractus among the crowd of running and screaming people. Charlie could see the black clouds, blue lightning, and the giant black silhouette looking over them, fading in and out, like it was popping in and out of existence. Soon the water in front of the strange storm began to shake violently, sending waves crashing upon the Ferry every minute. Soon one wave was too much to to handle. It rose at least twenty feet in the air, spiraling towards that at faster rates than before. "Beldum is in my Pokéball. Put Maractus in its Pokéball. I know this sounds crazy, but we need to jump." The wave got bigger and faster, hurtling towards the ship at a faster pace. "NOW!" Without a countdown Charlie jumped from the boat into the warm waters below as the wave crashed down on the Ferry, shattering it into pieces.

Team Nexus

Dune Town

The pipes blew before the rest of Team Nexus could board the speedboats, and they instead had to go out into Dune Town to get to another exit. "Let's go raise some hell." The team walked out of the building towards the housing, and of course, the Pokémon Center. Del Rosas took a small bottle stuffed with a rag out of his back pocket. From another pocket be procured a lighter. He set the rag on fire, and threw the bottle at a cluster of houses, lighting them on fire, spreading throughout the many dry materials used to make the structure. Del Rosas lit a cigarette and took a long draw before stopping at the front of the Pokémon Center. He put the cigarette out on some guys neck before walking in to the Center. "There's no use helping her. By now the poison is probably all throughout her system, she'll be dead in a couple of minutes." The man released a Luxio into the lab from its Pokéball. "Either someone challenges us. or you all die. It's really not a hard choice."

One by one, all 20 of the Team Nexus members began to release one of their Pokémon. "No one? Ok then. How... About... This!" He walked over to Hotaru and put a small blade up to her throat. "Stop! I'll fight you!" A middle aged man from the corner of the center said. "Just don't hurt the girl." Del Rosas just smirked, before in one fluid motion he to over the knife from the girl's throat and threw it at the man who challenged him, striking him with the 6 inch blade halfway through his chest. "Anyone Else?"
