Yashiro, Takeshi

Takeshi blinked a few times when she said a car door. He couldn’t help but shake his head a few times, as if doing so would help him make sure he was hearing right. A truck door? “Of all the weapons of choice, even some of the oddest ones I could think of. I have yet to see someone want to use a truck door for a fight. “ He couldn’t help himself a chuckle, but he did notice how she was closing up afterwards with how she was shoving her hands in her pockets and quickly changed gears.

He cocked his head to the side, “Something tells me you’ve actually used one...I would love to hear about it sometime.” He said as the corner of his lip raised up in a small crooked smile. He was about use his quirk to construct a basic truck door when he heard the pink haired girl’s voice again. Apparently her name was Mamuro, and also apparently she knew his name. How, he didn’t know but simply nod as she continued to talk.

She mentioned she saw him performing his forms, how he must have been trained since a kid as well as how she never had the chance. But before he could confirm or deny her statement, she switched to Riena. His eye twitched a little bit, as the girl was speaking she seemed say exactly what her brain thought of at that moment.

He thought about what she revealed with her quirk to him. He then said in a calm voice. ”With her quirk, I imagine that she can use whatever she wanted around her to throw around. If I may offer an Idea, perhaps something for close combat. Incase your enemies get to close? Even then it could still be used effectively to be thrown around.

Jett smiled as she said she wouldn’t even dignify that with a response, he didn’t say anything as he stood back and watched her as she then begun the next order of business. After a moment though he glanced over to Fumika again to see another short girl walking to the group. He smiled, as she poked her copy of herself. He glanced back to see Mina staring behind him, he glanced back to see her looking at Kaida with an odd look. Narrowing his eyes in confusion he looked back to her. He thought it best not to bring it up.

As she finished she laid the knife down on the cutting board, asking what was next. He reached for the knife and grabbed it, immediately began washing it out of sheer habit, the cutting was finished. ”Now we clean our station while we wait for the rice to cook. Saves on time cleaning up when we are done, while keeping an eye on the rice. We only want it to heat up to the point where it’s just barely boiling on the edges of the pot, then lower the heat to simmer and cover it.” He finished cleaning the knife and used the towel on his leg to dry it, then slipping back into its wooden block.”Also, just a sidenote. When using knifes, once you’re done cutting you should immediately clean them and put them away. For three reasons. One, it helps you get in the habit of not cross contaminating. Two it help protects the blades sharpness. Three and most important, it’s a good way to stay safe. Strewn utensils on the counter tend to be forgotten and knocked over, when in the heat of the moment of cooking. He said with a smile.

He pulled another tiny bowl out to put the pickled plums in, freeing up the cutting board to be washed. As he did, he thought of her earlier statement about being unprepared for adult life. He knew from how she acted and carried herself she came from a wealthy home. Usually he noticed kids from wealthy families not really having to worry about stuff like that even after they leave the home. Most still have their ‘allowances’ or inheritance. He and his sisters were an exception, as his father and mother made sure they worked around the house, learning those important life skills. He found it intriguing that Kasuke would be thinking about this. ”I must say... He looked at her while still washing. A hint of admiration on his face with a smile. I know you said this is your ‘act of rebellion’ to learn this. But I figured a girl with your upbringing and lifestyle, wouldn’t have to worry about such things later on. Most of the kids I know from other wealthy families don’t think like that. I find it admirable that you think like that.”

@Zeroth
I wasn't expecting today, or right now. even if it was now, it would be just a simple spar. But I was mainly referring to later on, perhaps during the next battle training we have in line for tomorrow (IC) or after that.
@zeroth Hey, I think Takeshi and Kenichi would be an interesting friendship. If anything great sparring partners, Kenchi would totally give Takeshi a challenge, being a wild card in his fighting style, but on the other hand Takeshi is highly trained, and uses his head. I think they could learn a bunch from each other

Jett laughed silently as she muttered under her breath. He found it really cute. She then went on to say that she was glad she took this class as she would be woefully unprepared for life as an adult.

As he opened the can of Mackrel he looked to her “I'm glad you took it as well. If you continue to mutter little things like that, it's like a dinner and show for me.” He teased.

“Alright, now we put the rice on the eating element and put it to high. While that is cooking we are going to mix the mackrel and a tablespoon of mayo. As well as take the seeds out of the pickled plums.”

Yashiro, Takeshi

Takeshi bowed his head to the teacher as he let them off without a warning. They actually made it to class just in time as everyone was about to head to the training room. A pink haired girl waved at Riena, and at him possibly. So he just nodded his head towards her. It was then the one called Acion came up to him and introduced himself after asking Riena a redundant question that he had answered with the teacher.

He eyed Acion as Riena spoke, Though he wasn’t really looking too closely, his quirk was obviously flying, and his feathers looked like steel. After he introduced himself, Takeshi only gave a slight nod. “Yashiro Takeshi. I am in A-3.” He found it odd he would mention he and Riena were in the same class, he gathered as much that he spoke to her as a friend. He didn’t say much more as the class moved onto the armory. When they entered, Takeshi immediately saw the swords. He moved over and looked them over, picking one up to immediately put it back down as the balance was so horrible it pained him. He was very lucky on his next choice as it had the same weight and balance of his sword in his dorm. He didn’t think he would have needed it today, guessing it would have been more of a vocal class for the first day. Held it close to the handguard, as he glanced at the on his way to an open area to test the sword. Pausing for a moment, he saw a 9mm similar to the one he left at home when he ran away. Another time perhaps.

He walked by Riena who seemed to just look around. He wondered what kinda weapon she would want to try out. He walked by Acion with a nodd and when he got to an open enough area, he sighed, lowering the sword to his hip where it would normally be if he wore it. Clearing his thoughts as he rolled his neck. Then like lightning he unsheathed his sword and started into some forms in a fast pace. Each movement precise and highly controlled as the were no flaws in his stance. As it should. He had been training with a sword since he could lift one. Such was the way of the Yashiro family. Precision, no mistakes.

For a bit he did this before suddenly slipping his foot under the sheath he dropped, popping up with a flick of his foot and just as fast as he started, he quickly ended sheathing his blade effortlessly after catching the sheath in the air with his free hand.

Looking at the sword while in its sheath, he admired the quality of it as being a sword used in practice before walking back to the group. Looking at Riena, Do did you find anything you like yet? His breath still slow and collected as if he didn't just do any forms. He glanced at Acion, Do you train with any weapons? He asked, as Acion was still next to them, and it would be rude to ignore him.

Jett smiled at the fact that he had to specify what to put it in. It was his fault for not saying in the first place. He reach over and grabbed a pot and placed it in the small sink at their station and started to fill it with water smiling. ”A Sieve is a good pick, and can do the job. But it doesn’t really get all the starch off the rice as it’s really hard to get at every piece. He took the liberty to scoop the rice and place it in the pot. Then reaching in with one hand he looked back at her. ”A trick my mother told me was to put it in a pot, fill it with water and mix it around with your hands.” He moved it around a bit, the water turning milky. ”that’s the starch coming off of it. Most of that would still be on if we just used the sieve.” Once it was almost pure white he placed his hand as a stopper and tipped it, allowing the water to get out while the rice stayed.

He looked to her,as he started to fill once more. ”If you rinse and drain two more times it will be slightly milky but that is good enough. Once you’re done with that, put exactly four cups of water in with it and place it on the heating element while turning it onto high. I should be back by then with the other ingredients we can add to it. “ He wiped his hands on the towel he had placed on his belt.

As he moved to the pantry/fridge he frowned as he saw Fumika working with herself? He glanced around and noticed everyone was partnered up, but her. A twinge of guilt shot through him as he realized he was so focused on Kasuke, and Haruka before that, that he totally ignored her as she came in, even donny as well. Well he didn’t see him walk in.

He wanted to go talk to her, but Donny and Roy were already there, He would just have to make a point to go to her later when he had a chance. Looking back to the pantry he gathered the other ingredients, as well as a few extras, placing them all on a tray that was there for this purpose, he carried it back like a waiter to Kasuke. He placed the items all out on their station. It wasn’t much, just what the teacher said, plus some mackerel, soy sauce, mayo, and a few pickled plums. As well as some salt.

”Got a couple of different ones we can try out. Simple though so don’t worry.”

Jett Haven

Jett had forgotten that she told him that at lunch. He simply shrugged it seemed his move not going for the part that she didn't deny Roy statement about being in denial her self went unnoticed. That and he tried to clear the record for her. Should have teased her a little more then.

Though he was glad she quickly accepted and moved onto a station. Perhaps it was worth it after all. He smiled and the other two and got up and made his way over to where Kasuke had gone. While he did he unbuttoned his sleeves and methodically rolled each up in a tight two inch and as to not actually bend the fabric around the wrist, as many people do and ruin them. This way when he unrolled them they would be unwrinkled. But also not slip down his forearms and get in the way. He also grabbed two aprons and moved to Kasuke. Who was siting and looking very…. tense at te moment.

She must be nervous about actually cooking. As she told hi in confidence that she never cooked a day in her life. She asked if he said he could cook. He knew she remembered obviously as she brought it up, but he then said in a joking tone. ” Now who is the forgetful one.” he placed the apron in her hands and gave her a warm comforting smile.

”Yes, I cook. Just be glad this is a simple snack for your first time. I'll be here to help you through everything. First, we must wash our hands.” he started first and quickly dried them off, taking an extra towel and slipping. It into his belt so it would hang over his right leg. He then leaned in close to her so only they would hear each other.

”Now I know you haven't cooked a day in your life, but I'm going to have you do much of this one, it's easy. I'll support you. First thing we got to do is rinse the rice. If you want to put two cups of rice in and fill it up and mix it around with your hands while I get the other ingredients?

Jett Haven

Jett looked over at Roy as he told him what they were talking about. He looked at Kaida with a surprise as she was the one who asked the question, but ultimately turned his head towards Kauske.

He caught the look of daggers she aimed at Roy which looked fierce. But when she looked at him, despite her attempt to look threatening at him. The blush came back in full force. This made him smile, totally forgetting about what had just happened a few moments before.

Kasuke if she was looking him in the eyes would almost see all of the the smart alic, teasing, cute remarks go through his thought process as if it was a list of what was the best thing to say. The whole time which was only a second or two, bit felt like an eternity he was giving her a warm smile with just a hint of playfulness. As if her words to him were a challenge.

Mostly he was just admiring how cute she looked with that tusundre angry/embarrassed look on her face. He realized they would most likely be paring up, and he did say he wanted to be first to try her first plate. So he then said; with an amused false hurt look on his face.

” You think I'm irritating?” totally intentionally ignoring the fact that she didn't try to correct Roy that she was in denial/embarrassed about the Thought of being a thing with him. He gave her A sly wink before turning to Roy. “You should have listened to her Roy, we are indeed just friends at the moment. he said, in an oddly calm voice. He did say at the moment more quickly but in a way that it was just a fact, nothing special. But to him it was the key of the sentence.

Suddenly the teacher pointed them out at which he raised his hand.Sorry that was my fault he chuckled.

The teacher ignored him and went into the lesion tellin. Them to get into groups of two just as he thought. He nudged Kauske just slightly with his elbow. Looking to her, I know I'm irritating and all, but would you like to partner up?

Reina Mori Yashiro, Takeshi

Takeshi was on his way to class from his dorm room after having lunch with his little sister. Classes for her middle school, which happened to be around the corner didn’t start for another day or so. It was one of the reasons he picked this school, so she could be close to him just in case…

He decided to walk around the cafeteria, just to see what it was like incase he decided to eat there. He could hear a big commotion inside, but didn’t bother himself with it. Probably just some pricks acting up and picking fights.

He was still a little early for class, so his stroll was slow, as he took in the scenery of the outside eating area. It was impressive for a school to have such a nice facility, but that does make sense being the second best Hero school in the country under the UA.

As he walked around the corner he suddenly felt a strong unseen force push him back abruptly. Mad he was caught off guard, but his reflexes were quick enough to keep himself on his feet as he slid into a fighting stance, his right hand going for his sword. Which wasn’t there. He cursed at the school’s rules about weapons. It seemed stupid they would ban weapons from being carried when most if all of these kids quirks could be just as lethal.

He quickly looked around and noticed a girl on her hands and knees, gathering items that had been strewn about. And no one else. It was clear that no threat was there and he relaxed, quickly going over to the dark haired girl. He came up to her side squatted down just in front of her and grabbed a phone that was just out of her reach.

When she would look up at him he would offer a small smile, to show he was there to help and offered her phone just as quickly. He would smile even more when he noticed how cute she was. “I’m guessing this is yours?” he said a soft but deep voice.

Reina started, glancing up with widened eyes as she felt her face going red. Not only had she been seen crawling around and looking all pathetic, but this boy had taken pity on her on top of that. In her fit of embarrassment, she quickly looked away and scrambled to her feet, brushing her hands and knees. She paused when the boy spoke, her embarrassment fading for a moment. He... hadn’t asked if she was okay or anything of the sort. That made it easier for Reina to tell herself that maybe he wasn’t wasting his time pitying her. Maybe he was just someone who liked helping people, like her. His reasons were probably better than hers, though. Or maybe he was just being subtle with his pity.

A small frown fraught with uncertainty appeared on the girl’s lips. She nodded slightly, still avoiding eye contact as she glanced to her phone in his hand, gingerly reaching out to take it.

Takeshi watched as she quickly got up, face red and dusted herself off. He didn't get up from his position as she did this. Simply watching watching with just a hint of a faint smile on his lips. He didn't see why she she was embarrassed, accidents happen all the time. She continued to keep her eyes diverted from his, a frown on her face caused him to wipe the tiny smirk he had on his. He didn't mean to make her uncomfortable.

As she reached out to take the phone gingerly he reached out almost as slow as her to meet her halfway and to place it in her hand. He held it for a moment trying to make eye contact, but to no avail. Once he let go he then reached out while still squatting and picked up her lunchbox. Standing up slowly he closed the box for her and offered it as well. “I'm sorry for bothering you, I can't just walk away when I can help when I can.” He smiled as he looked down at her, “My name is Yashiro Takeshi. It's a pleasure to meet you.”

The girl paused for a heartbeat, noticing how the boy carefully handed her phone back. “You... aren’t bothering me...” That was true, really. It was her bothering herself, as always. “I... um, I understand that...” So he was someone like her... well, in that one sense, at least. Being totally like her would be unfortunate.

Reina finally glanced up to meet his gaze—for only a brief moment—as he gave his name. She nodded lightly again, frown fading a bit, though the uncertainty stayed. “...Mori Reina,” she said quietly with a tiny bow. She took her lunch box from him, a little less slowly this time. “Thank you... Yashiro-san...”

He smiled and bowed more deeply back to to her as she gave him a tiny one. ”You don't need to thank me, Mori-san.Learning your name is thanks enough.” With his hands free he placed his hands behind his back, gripping his left wrist with his right.

He looked around and asked, “If I may ask… was did someone hit you with that unseen force as well?” he asked curiously.

Reina blinked, her blush deepening as she immediately understood what Takeshi meant. Her lapse of concentration had inconvenienced someone again. As she silently kicked herself, she opened her mouth to explain.

“I-I... um, that’s my quirk...” she started, hands coming together in front of her as her body closed up a little. “I can control my gravitational field... but I’m not... I don’t really have a great handle on it...” The girl picked at her skirt with her clasped hands. “My gravity is naturally strong by default, pulling everything around towards me, so I... I have to keep it consciously in check so it doesn’t affect anything... kind of like flexing a muscle all the time?... S-so when I lose concentration it tends to... spasm, I guess...” As she spoke, she felt like she was taking up too much of the boy’s time—but he deserved an explanation for the discomfort her mistake had caused him, so she forced herself on, speaking as quickly as she dared while keeping her stuttering to a minimum.

He reddened slightly at realizing he should have figured it was her, kicking himself for choosing the wrong choice of words. She seemed to be embarrassed that he asked about it, as well as not having much control. He listened carefully and nodded at the end. ”I See. I can't even imagine what it would be like to be constantly trying to keep my quirk in check all the time.”

He paused for a moment as he admired the fact that she was willing enough to do so, and come to a hero academy to use it. [color=a187be] You must have a strong mind to keep such a powerful quirk in check. If it's only that small of a [i]spasm[/]“ he said with a genuine smile. This girl was truly interesting to him. He found it odd that the headmaster himself had a gravity quirk as well. Perhaps she was related.

He changed the subject. Taking his right hand and pointing towards the building where the classrooms were at with a open palm. ”I was actually on my way to class… would you allow me the pleasure of your company along the way? I am going to Hero gadgets right now.”

Reina instinctively shook her head upon receiving the compliments, but stopped herself from saying anything. Of course, she wanted to deny what he had said and say that should be better, but...

The girl blinked as Takeshi continued, frowning slightly as she fought back another urge to deny what he said—she was most certainly not a ‘pleasure’ to be around... Her mind wandered to her earlier interaction with Acion, Fumika, and Mamoru.

She had decided to improve herself. It was hard, no matter her sentiments... but Takeshi had done the hardest part for her. He had come up to her and had started their meeting. If she acted all negative and voiced how she thought of herself, she’d just be making him uncomfortable and push him away.

Of course, that had always been the point. Everyone was better off being pushed away by her—it was better they dislike her immediately than after a terrible, rocky ‘friendship’ brought on by her faults.

But she had told herself she’d try to be better. Unfortunately, that seemed to mean being selfish for some time, until she became less insufferable… or failed and dragged the people she wished to be friends with through the mud. Takeshi would be a guinea pig, of sorts, like Acion, Fumika, and Mamoru. She mentally apologized to the boy, feeling guilt creep into her as she gave her reply.

“...O-Okay...” she said awfully quietly, with a subtle nod. “I-I’m also in Hero Gadgets...”

He smiled and slowly walked to the right, waiting for her to walk alongside him. He found it cute how incredibly shy she was. He was not used to this, as his own little sister was almost completely of her, and the other girls he had met in school growing up were not this shy.

He wondered why she frowned when he had complimented her on her ability to control it. He pushed the thought away, as he smiled. ”Must be fate then.”

As he walked, he suddenly didn't know what to say, scratching the back of his head. As if that would help his thought process.

Reina went along in silence, staying a quarter of a step behind Takeshi. It was a silence she was used to. She wasn’t easy to have a conversation with. The girl frowned, deep in thought as she frantically tried to both think of something to say and gather the courage to speak up. Being sociable and... the opposite of how she was now... meant being able to do at least something this simple. She stared at her hands gripped that gripped her schoolbag in front of her thighs.

She paused, glancing up as she realized something in her thought process. “Y-Yashiro-san... I have no idea where our class is...” she said honestly in her soft voice, a hint of shame in her light blush. It was probably something that made her look silly to admit, but it had to be better than just letting the silence stagnate, right?...

He was glad she said something, anything. He literally could not think of what to say next. This never happened to him before, he always could carry a polite conversation. He looked at her, seeing her blush even slightly caused him to stare blankly at her. Forgetting what she said for a being moment and suddenly it clicked. Looking forward he suddenly realized.. he forgot the room number.

Stopping as he started to pat down his blazer and pants pockets. He turned red himself as he realized… he left his schedule on the table. He smiled. Clearing his throat. “I...guess that makes two of us then…” he chuckled nervously. His own blush of embarrassment burning his cheeks. He never did anything like this before, he was usually really good at remembering to have everything he needed before leaving, or even remembering a simple number of a room. But it seemed like his brain had shut off around this girl and now he was looking foolish.

He looked around, He knew for sure it was in that building. He would just have to ask around then. As the front desk was in the opposite direction.

He then straightened his shoulder. ”Well I was lucky to run into a fellow classmate, perhaps we can get lucky and find someone who does know where it's at?”

The girl paused, eyes widening imperceptibly as she glanced at Takeshi as he revealed he didn’t know either. She was taken aback by his embarrassed look, and looked away quickly once again to avoid looking like she was staring. There was no reason for him to feel even slightly ashamed of anything when he was with her, she thought... but it somehow made her a little happy.

The slightest smile that had formed on her lips disappeared quickly as she began to worry. Wouldn’t they be late? They already essentially were. This delay would make that worse.

She glanced to Takeshi for a moment again as she began to speak. “Would... it be too disrespectful to ask here?...” she asked with a small worried frown, reservedly pointing to the classroom they were walking by—a general education class, by the looks of it through the windows. The students and teacher were preparing for the start of class, settling into their desks.

Takeshi caught the tiny smile. Did she find it funny that he didn’t know where the room was as well? Actually it was a little comical. She did look up to him and point to a classroom they were passing. Asking if it would be too disrespectful to ask for directions. He merely shook his head and said, “No...they are just starting. I’m sure the teachers expect to get lost students walking into their rooms asking for directions. “

He moved to the door and walked in without hesitation. The mere action of opening the door gaining everyone's attention. He was sure that Mori-san, being so shy would not like being seen in the background. So he opened it enough so only he could be seen and looked at the teacher.

“Excuse me Sensi.” He bowed as he said it, “I seemed to have lost my way, and my schedule. Could you please direct me to Hero Gadgets?” Bowing his head once again.

Reina shrugged slightly, still unsure. Before she could reply, though, it seemed Takeshi had made up his mind. With her face beginning to heat up in anticipation of the public shame they were about to put themselves through—however necessary it was so they could just get to class—she gingerly reached her hand out towards the boy’s turned back. She stopped herself quickly, and felt another pang of guilt as she realized what he was doing for her. Indecisive, she simply stood there quietly, appreciating the gesture despite feeling bad for having him confront the class alone.

The teacher had opened had been passing out worksheets when the two students asked him a question, “Why certainly, go down the hall, up the stairs and the last classroom down on the left wing” he said as he continued passing out papers with a smile. The students in the classroom tried to glare hard outside the classroom in an attempt to get a glimpse of who was asking for directions.

He bowed his head again. “Thank you Sensei.” before sliding the door shut. He looked at Mori with a smile, apparently asking directions, a man’s greatest weakness. Was not an issue for him. “That was easy enough. Let’s get going Mori-san.” He said as he started to walk towards the stairs, with a little more speed than last time.

The girl blinked, nodding after a slow moment and taking off after Takeshi. They moved quickly to their destination, but her guilt weighed on her. “I-I’m sorry,” she said. It probably wasn’t obvious why she was apologizing, she realized, so she continued after a pause. “For... you know... letting you ask on your own...” Even if it hadn’t seemed like a big deal to him, Reina knew how much difficulty she would have had doing the same thing. It felt wrong to not show voice her appreciation... which she hadn’t done at all done. She had only apologized, like she had programmed herself to do her entire life. There was a much better way to show appreciation. The girl blushed lightly upon the strange, seemingly obvious realization.

“Th-thank you... again...” she said quietly. As she spoke, Takeshi slowed, so she followed his lead and glanced to the closed door nearest them—their class.

Takeshi was confused why she said she was sorry, untill she added to her apology. He only smiled as they continued to their class. He was going to say something but then she added thank you so softly that he almost missed it. glancing back he saw a blush on his face. It was totally worth it to see her blush again.

He stopped at the door and instead of opening it. He looked directly at Riena. “Mori-san. You don’t have to apologize for that, I was the one who opened the door. I was the one who asked on my own so you wouldn’t be embarrassed. I would do it again in an instant, cause that’s what friends do for each other correct? Help each other out? Just thank me by being my friend ok?” He gave a warm smile before waiting a few moments for her to prepare herself and opened the door suddenly walking into the room first. Looking directly to teacher he bowed his head. “Forgive me Arsenal Sensei for being late, we were lost and I forgot my schedule.”
Jett Haven

By the time Jett had sat down he had missed most of their conversation, and what little they did say he didn't hear it as he was deep in thought. Confused, sad, angry, hurt were all bouncing around right now in his mind as he didn't get why Haruka was pushing him away and been doing so for the last six months. He knew she was lying to him. No way could she make ‘mistakes’ and not become a hero like she always wanted. No way she could have failed… he'll he didn't even see her at the entrance exam. She was one not to be missed.

He was dragged out of his thoughts as he saw Kaida almost upside down looking up at him. He felt a small hand on his shoulder, realizing it was Kaidas hand as well. His former feelings washed away at the girls awkward pose in front of him caused him to have a hint of a smile.

”I'm fine. Sorry a friend of mine said she wasn't going to here This year.” he found it odd that he just freely gave up that information. Perhaps it was the pure genuine worry on her face.

Slipping the phone away, now clear that Haruka won't reply. He then said.thanks do you concern, I think I'll be fine. hopefully, if he ever figured out what's going.

Turning to look at Kasuke he notice a last of a fading blush. raising an eyebrow he waited a moment, looking to the teacher who was talking. He then leaned close to Kasuke and asked.”You know you're blushing again? I mean it's cute and all. But what were you guys talking. About before I got back?” it had to been good, to make her blush. He was glad for the distraction over his last conversation
