Ezra

Ezra had sat down at his beckoning after being invited in by the principal. He didn't sound as angry as he did on the loudspeaker, in fact he did not sense the anger at all within his voice. It was moreso of a tone that a father would use to have a heart to heart chat with his son, rather than one of a disciplinary vocal. As he began his explanation, Ezra sat attentively in order to avoid further punishment, and the words that came out of the principles mouth were ones that he had said himself. He did felt that they had provoked him, but he realised his action was out of line, especially for someone on the first day here.

The empathy that the principal showed really clicked with Ezra, and he found himself enjoying the short explanation, especially about the hero aspect of his ability. It made sense to him, he never particularly wanted to be a hero either, yet he found himself here in order to gain greater fights and fun from the few things that he enjoyed doing. If he could keep his anger in check, he could easily find himself as the most powerful hero in this academy, and perhaps in existence. He wanted people to remember him, and if being a hero was the way for that to occur then he saw that as the opportune way to achieve his goal.

He saw no problem with cleaning the cafeteria. It was within reason, he'd damaged their property. He was just thankful his parents weren't billed with the cost of his actions, and this was coming out of labour rather than his families pocket. He saw no problem with hard work, especially when he'd created such problems to begin with. He'd let the principal speak to the end, so he figured he'd depart and go to his elective.

"Thanks a lot. I'll take ya words to heart and try to make sure that it doesn't happen again. I'll see you after school Sir." He spoke as he bowed and left. He figured he'd head to his elective now, which from his schedule he'd memorised was Hero Gear. He needed some new equipment, as he knew if his quirk could be harnessed with some sort of special gear, then he would amplify his power significantly, so learning how to utilise it was more important than any of the other electives, especially considering that he considered himself a competent chef at making what he liked. He didn't have to be Gordon Ramsay to feed himself and any guests he might have.

He'd found himself at his elective, and he'd found people that left a bad taste in his mouth. Acion he didn't have a fondness for, he found him irritating and saw him as nothing more than a talker. The rest of the kids he was unaware of, but he'd noted Dulga. He liked that she stayed in her own business and didn't bother anyone, but he didn't know what she could do, but he bet it was a good fight. She was quiet, and quiet people were always the most gifted at what they do. The last person he recognised was Kenichi, the main character. He spoke a lot, and from the replay seemed incredibly fast. As far as he was aware, the only reason that Fumika was able to win was because of stupidity on the part of him. He wanted to combat somebody like that, somebody he didn't have to analyse their stupid little gimmicks and plots. Just a all out brawl.

"Yo. soz I weren't here earlier, but the principal wanted me." he announced before deciding where to take a seat. He wondered which one would be the best, he figured Dulga would be a good choice because she was nice and quiet and he wanted to focus on the class, but at the same time, he wanted laughs and jokes, so he couldn't quite figure out where to go. He'd placed himself a seat away from Kenichi, figuring that it was the best place. He could choose whether to interact, and still maintain quiet if he needed it.

JoJo

Joann relaxed in her chair a little more now looking up at the ceiling, the constant chatter in the classroom melded together in some form of an incomprehensible mess but eventually, she was able to block it out. With no real teacher, it left the class completely free to do whatever they wanted to do, including leave which was something she was starting to seriously consider. After all, with no teacher nothing was being taught rendering the class a pointless waste of energy, when she could be in her room right now painting her new project after spending all night trying to decide what the color scheme would be to paint it. Another girl seemed to be coming her way with a cane, she figured she needed to assist to walk, but her legs seemed alright for the most part, the thought didn’t even occur to her that the girl was indeed blind until she tripped over her backpack and fell right into her lap.

Joann moved her hand upward unconsciously to fix a hat that would have been crooked by now had it been on her head, causing a disgruntled groan to leak from her lips, then her hand went down to fix the shades she normally would wear if they were on her face to which it slipped her mind she lost them two days ago causing another groan of irritation. The backpack thing was completely her fault, so she had no right to complain about it, after moving it from its original place and throwing it under her desk she grabbed the girls cane that fell on the floor.

“Don’t worry about it” she said plainly lifting the cane up to the girl “Be lucky you fell on another girl” Joann joked and then speak of the devil a loud male showed up.

“Oh bother,” she said in response to his claim of what he called the main character chair.

Yukari Yozakura

Yukari wiggled in her new seat, taking notice how plush and soft it felt. These Komei Chairs were high quality stuff! Putting a hand underneath her Yukari gave the cushion a squeeze until she heard a voice right next to her ear. This caused Yukari to jump. "Oh! Oh my!" Yukari's face grew red as she quickly got off the girl and bowed her head repeatedly. "I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean... Oh dear, how embarrassing!" Yukari covered her face as she balanced her cane in the crook of her arms. "I thought something was strange when I felt something warm and comfortable under me. I thought these seats were simply luxurious but... Well I mean, it's not that I don't think you aren't soft either, I mean, um..." Yukari then remembered that she had basically just groped this girl and sat back into an empty seat looking horrified. "I am so sorry. I not usually this klutzy, I swear!"

Her first day of school and Yukari did something straight out of a cliche romcom. As if to lampshade her little incident another student came in claiming to be the main character. Wouldn't this normally be something he would do? Yukari just continued to look read in the face, faced forward, and tried to hide her embarrassment. She hoped that the other girl would be willing to forgive and forget Yukari's little stumble. She had to make it up to her somehow. Perhaps she should get her lunch? Forgiveness flowers? A ring that showed how much Yukari was willing to give to get her forgiveness?

Arsenal

Arsenal had been coming back from lunch with a toothpick on his mouth, the kids could hear his both of his .500 magnums hitted the side of his hips as well as the clanking of his boots. He over heard someone asking who was teaching the class as soon as he put one foot in the door. "That will be me" The man said as a shadow stood over kenichi. Arsenal had both hands on his hips as he stood behind the boy, "Names Erron Kaiser, otherwise known as Arsenal the artillery hero. Nice to meetcha little blue" he said as he moved the toothpick from the left side of his mouth to the right with a grin before pushing his hat up and moving towards the front of the class. He also noticed that a girl had fallen into someone elses lap but that situation was already being solved, he ignored it as to not draw attention towards the two, making his way towards the front board.

"Good evening class, I hope all of you had a good lunch" he said sarcastically, "Welcome to Hero gadgets 101 where I am your teacher. You will find that this room is specially accomodate and isn't the same as any ordinary classroom,
the outerwalls of this classroom are virtually indestructible as well as sound proof so expect to have a good time this year. I was fixin to get you guys using some gear today and getting some hands on action but first we gotta get through a couple of rules and safety precautions before we can have fun"

Arsenal began handing out a syllabus for classroom procedures and rules. The syllabus also had instructions for emergency situations such as fire and whatnot. After he handed out the syllabus he began taking things off his tool belt and heading placing them on a table by a white board. He placed both his .500 Magnums, a grenade, and a couple of more things on the table all in an assorted patten. Once done he held up the grenade first.

"Lets see if we have any experts, can anyone tell me what this is exactly?"

Connoisseur

Clemont had been walking back to school with a book full of recipes thinking about what simple recipe that the students should make for their first day of culinary. Something not too hard and heavy a meal, something easy, something tasty. Thats when it hit him as he entered the class, closing the book in his hand. "Good evening children, I am your culinary teacher Connoissuer. He said placing his book on his desk, after reading some quick classroom procedures we will actually get to making some food, preferably a snack since I am sure you all ate a good lunch" Clemont smiled as he began passing out a syllabus to each student.

"Now can someone, anyone list some important rules to remember while cooking" He said energetically.

Roy Kusayanagi

Roy watched as Jett left, he leaned over on the table popping an arm up under his chin as he waited for the teacher to show up, before hearing Kaida ask Mina a question. The blonde boy raised an eyebrow at this, was there something that he missed? As far as he knew all he did was pull some seats out and opened a door! He then heard both of the girls voices get quiet before only being able to hear the word no and together. Roy looked over to the two seeing Minas face red, Roy let out a cheeky grin once more before turning around again. She then heard that he kinda irratated her but at the same time didn't, he turned back around once more looking at the two. Kaida seemed somewhat confused at that whill Mina seemed cool in the way she said it.

"I understand exactly what you mean Kasuke" He said smirking before looking over at Kaida who was frowning, he looked in her lap noticing the rose was gone. "You know I never met anyone as unbothered by the heat I produce as you Kaida, if you want another Rose or anything else all you have to do is ask me" he said sitting up and yawning, stretching his arms as the sunlight hit his tattoos causing them the pulsate yellow indicating he was at half way towards maximum capacity. "Were you guys talking about Jett? You guys interested in him? commonn tell me you dont have to keep a secret from my I won't tell nobody" he said with a bit of sarcastic enthusiasm as he teased the girls.

"Hes quite the keeper don't ya say guys?" He had a sly smile on as he poked fun at the two. Soon the teacher and pro hero Connoissuer came in and introducing himself. He then passed out the syllabus to the students which had pretty basic procedures on it nothing out of the blue. He then asked a question on important kitchen rules to remember, Roy raised his hand instantly and naming off a few.

"Don't wear lose clothing, Keep long hair tied, turn pot handles away from the front of the stove, and keep your fingers rolled back when cutting things so your fingers don't get chopped off. He said simply put.

Kasuke Mina

Mina had noticed that Kaida had gone a little colder. To be fair, Mina herself hadn't explained what she was feeling very well. Even so, she didn't see what that would make Kaida suddenly go silent on her. It didn't matter anyway. Two of of them not speaking wasn't a situation Mina was going to lose sleep over. Instead, she looked round at the rest of the class. There was nobody else she knew besides Roy and Jett. That was, until Donny came in, and said hello, so which Mina nodded in response.

"Hey, Donny," she replied, not coldly yet not full of enthusiasm or energy either.

She looked round the class to see that Jett was on his phone, and apeared to be deep in thought, and worried about something. She'd have to find out what later. Some students she'd never seen before arrived. A-2, most likely. She ignored them. Speaking of ignoring, Roy started to talk to both him and Kaida, and she wished she could ignore that.

"I'm not 'interested' in Jett, Roy. And if this becomes a rumour, I'll know exactly where it started." Even as she said this, her blush had come back. She hated getting teased. She double hated getting teased about boys. It was an uncomfortable, raw subject for her, as she'd had plenty of suitors but never a boyfriend. It was a relief when the teacher came in and class started, though she admittedly didn't know any answers to that kitchen. The only thing she'd been taught was 'it's dangerous in the kitchen. Stay out and let the maids cook'.

ACION

Acion did notice the blind girl tripping on a backpack. His instinct told him to lean for her to balance her, but he was a bit faraway for that. Fortunately, she was caught by someone's lap, which wasn't entirely a good thing for these two, since...a quite hilarious and perhaps embarrassing scene had been unraveled. The reason why Yukari turned red was unfamiliar to the winged boy.

Oh well, girl's stuff...

He would never understand.

Acion simply blocked his two eyes to keep his attention away, as he moved to an empty seat, pretty isolated from the rest of the class. He knew that he needed a quiet place, knowing the nature of that main character Kenichi and that energy ball Mamoru. Not that he had any bad impression about them, they were just annoying when he was trying to concentrate.

Not long after, the teacher arrived, introduced himself and quickly passed the syllabuses to each and every students in class. It was nothing out of the ordinary, and most of the rules were simply common senses. Nevertheless, it wouldn't hurt to skim through all of them. Arsenal then placed a few items onto the table in front of him. A revolver of some kind, and a blue ball-shaped energy grenade. Acion realized the latter item due to a combination of TV watching and his mother's teaching of practical knowledge, though he wasn't entirely sure nor was an expert in that regards. His mother was also a genius, capable of using a variety of equipment aside from her sword, and se made sure that her son would have to have at least a basic knowledge of these kind of things, so that even if he wouldn't use it in battle, he wouldn't be caught off-guard if somebody else used it.

A question was made: What is the thing in his hand? And Acion pretty much answered everything he knew, while his index finger pointing at the thing.

"From my perspective, it is an energy grenade, which does not follow the simple gunpowder mechanic, but rather uses some sort of pressured energy. Its uses are varied, though I do not know exactly what that grenade can do"

Hero Gear Classroom

Kenichi did indeed manage to snag the main character seat for the second time that day, although with the reinforcements on the windows it didn't look like he'd be getting much of a daydreamer's view. Ezra, back from his scolding, sat nearby. The teacher, Arsenal, entered and made his introductions. Kenichi looked nervously at the weapons on the man's belt. Guns were hard to get legally in Japan, and even illegally. Back when the Yakuza had been a thing, even they tried to avoid guns whenever possible because using one meant the full brunt of the police coming down on you. That, and certain kinds of guns in general reminded Kenichi about his dad...and those wars all around the world he had reported on, until...

Arsenal asked them to identify one of the objects from his belt, and Acion was the first to pipe up. Kenichi shook his head.

"Close but not quite, Acion-kun. The energy's not under pressure like an air tank would be. That's an EMP grenade--makes an electromagnetic pulse, like throwing a breaker back and forth or a surge that blows out your lights when lightning strikes a power line." His dad had done a report on other weapons like that before, as they were fairly new on the scene and had once just been the stuff of sci fi and video games. "Anything in range that's electrical--computers, vehicles, even some kinds of weapons--either goes haywire or shuts down completely."

Kaida Baeumont

Kaida looked at Roy as he jumped into her conversation. She didn't even hear him come back! She wouldn't have said any of that in front of him! Her face flushed in embarrassment.

However he then mentioned how he never met anyone who wasn't bothered by his heat. She widened her eyes. That was too hot for normal people? She flushed even more at her mistake not wanting really to reveal her quirk that she was immune to heat and fire. Just wanting make it as long as she could with strength as her ‘quirk’. When he offered to make her anything else she smiled. That was kind of him.

But then he went on to Tease them both! While Mina said very surely that she wasn't interested in Jett. Though her blush betrayed her to say otherwise. Or maybe she was embarrassed at the very thought of being with Jett. It was hard to read the blonde girl.

With him saying he's quite a keeper even in joking tone. She decided to not be embarrassed about it. Perhaps Roy wasn't even interested in her like that, perhaps he was just being friendly with the rose.

I would say he is indeed Roy. Handsome, charming and kind. I'm sure any girl who catches his fancy is a lucky girl. she glanced at Mina fairly briefly before looking at Jett who seemed now worried and confused while looking at this phone. Did something bad just happen? Her eyebrows furrowed for a moment but as he started back to the table the teacher also walked in.

After explaining what was going to happen and asked what were some of the main rules of cooking, she froze for a moment. She knew them and the fact the teacher was french should have calmed her nerves. But the chance of being wrong infront of her fellow students scared her. After Roy answered she remembered his offer from earlier and whispered to him.

Oh!U-um… yes with my quirk I...can resist most heat.” she didn't want to give away that she was immune to fire. Or that she could breath it actually. “it was actually really comforting to me really. I get cold really easily even in the summer.

Reaching out and placing a hand near his on the table, as if wanting to touch it in thanks but thought better. ”yo are so kind to offer. However I don't want you to over tax your quirk just to give some comfort.

She glanced back at Jett who was no longer his smiling self that she had seen of him. Staring at his phone, which looked like it was an open text screen with something he wrote being the last thing on the screen. Was he waiting for an answer? she could see he was angry worried and confused all wrapped into one. Looking up at the teacher for a split second before placing a hand on his shoulder. "Jett... is something wrong? Are you ok?" it may have seemed weird that she was already worried about him. But she was a ball of mixed emotions herself now, and she always hated seeing someone in the dumps. She leaned forwards almost placing her head on the table so she could catch his eyes with her golden ones.

Ayato Kamina

"Unless, it's shielded." Kamina quickly added to Kenichi's description. He didn't really know what the orb was, but he had to imagine it was some sort of grenade or emitter. He knew how EMPs worked though and decided to add on that. "An object shielded with a Faraday cage would be fine against electromagnetic fields." He went back to resting on his elbow after adding his tidbit.

"This is going to be boring. Enjoy your class. We'll make friends later." His wisp said before it returned into his backpack. He didn't take off his backpack, even during class. He was glad class was starting though. It got Joy to go away. Arsenal was one of his favorite heroes too. He wasn't big into cowboys, but the way Arsenal used his pistols and gear was incredible. His quirk may not have seemed that incredible, but underestimating him got a lot of villains in trouble. Hearing the classroom was basically an impenetrable bomb shelter made things sound fun too. He really started to wonder if they would be learning how to make gear too. That sounded pretty complicated, but anything that would help him with his wisps would be awesome. He continued to just rest on his elbow as he listened to the teacher and the rest of the class teach and comment.

Mamoru Akasha

More and more people showed up into class until eventually the teacher himself arrived. He looked like a cowboy or an outlaw. His hero name was Arsenal, appropriate for a class like this. ”Ooooh.” Mamoru faced the teacher and actually paid attention as he took out his equipment, which included a gun, some sort of hand grenade, and and a bunch of other stuff that Mamoru wasn't really able to ID. She guessed a one might've been a lighter and a cigarette box, but Mamoru couldn't say for certain. Could be spy gadgets!

Arsenal asked everyone what the grenade was and a few people awnsered before Mamoru. She knew it was a bomb at least. Definitely not like any bomb she's seen before, granted she's only seen them in TV shows and video games. It looked futuristic, like a plasma grenade or something out of a sci-fi shooter. That's when Kenichi said it was an EMP, electromagnetic pulse. Or something like that. Mamoru knew them as “Anti Machine” grenades. This would be the first time Mamoru ever saw one up close. She imagined them to look more bulky, but it did have the sparks.

”EMP huh? I wonder if they hurt if you get caught in the blast. I can't imagine the electrical pulse would be harmless.” But Mamoru doesn't know what EMP’s really do anyways. All the more reason why she wondered though. Mamoru started fantasizing how she could've used an EMP today at the team battle, using her poor understanding of technology to do things that probably wasn't possible, like stop a truck dead in its track or magnatizing things to her shield. "Magnets, how do they work..."

Donny Yang

As Donny sat waiting in class he took out his phone and surfed the web. Since he had his shopping menu done, he was looking for other things he could do later. There was that shopping arcade, though maybe not tonight. He had a bunch of homework he needed to do. He was thinking that he could try for it on the weekend instead. While he was looking at events happening in the weekend he noticed that there was a ticket deal for heading to the beach. Discount train or bus tickets to one of the beaches near Hosu. Even had a deal specifically for Komei students too.

”Heh, wonder if they're testing us. Ah I guess I really got to buckle down and work hard if I wanna go to the beach. Would I want to go to the beach? I don't like cold water. But maybe I could invite some others. Yeah! Try to start a party! But hmm. Would that be too forward? I barely know these guys and I'm asking them to go to a beach with me? That is kinda weird Donny-boy. Start small. Make more friends first.”

Donny put that thought aside when the teacher showed up. Appropriately the teacher was someone who was French. Donny had expected Italian personally, but French was his second guess. The teacher introduced himself as the Connoisseur which Donny guessed was his hero name. As the syllabus was passed out Donny looked at and noticed a pair of eyes looking at him. He turned to look but by the time he did so no one was looking at him. ”Huh. Must be getting excited or something.”

Donny only managed to read a bit of the handout before the teacher asked what some basic rules for cooking would be. Roy managed to beat Donny to the punch, but Donny had also raised his hand around the same time and waited for the teacher to call on him. Once he did Donny gave his thoughts on basic procedures. ”Keep your workstation, dishes, and tools clean. Also have everything prepared beforehand. Pay attention to the time and your food. And... Properly label and identify your ingredients.” Donny spoke very clearly for once, making it clear that cooking wasn't something he was shy about.

Jett Haven

By the time Jett had sat down he had missed most of their conversation, and what little they did say he didn't hear it as he was deep in thought. Confused, sad, angry, hurt were all bouncing around right now in his mind as he didn't get why Haruka was pushing him away and been doing so for the last six months. He knew she was lying to him. No way could she make ‘mistakes’ and not become a hero like she always wanted. No way she could have failed… he'll he didn't even see her at the entrance exam. She was one not to be missed.

He was dragged out of his thoughts as he saw Kaida almost upside down looking up at him. He felt a small hand on his shoulder, realizing it was Kaidas hand as well. His former feelings washed away at the girls awkward pose in front of him caused him to have a hint of a smile.

”I'm fine. Sorry a friend of mine said she wasn't going to here This year.” he found it odd that he just freely gave up that information. Perhaps it was the pure genuine worry on her face.

Slipping the phone away, now clear that Haruka won't reply. He then said.thanks do you concern, I think I'll be fine. hopefully, if he ever figured out what's going.

Turning to look at Kasuke he notice a last of a fading blush. raising an eyebrow he waited a moment, looking to the teacher who was talking. He then leaned close to Kasuke and asked.”You know you're blushing again? I mean it's cute and all. But what were you guys talking. About before I got back?” it had to been good, to make her blush. He was glad for the distraction over his last conversation

Fumika was so caught up with her own gloom and indecision, that she almost didn't notice somebody had walked up to her until suddenly, Yoshida's voice snapped her to attention. He apologized for taking so long... So it wasn't just her own impatience? He really had been gone longer than expected. But he had come back. Just as expected, he had come back. Then... she'd understood him! Without even having to ask for clarification, she'd managed to properly interpret his meaning, and unravel the implications of his words. And even though he'd been in a hurry, he'd still come back, just like he said he would. "I managed to communicate. Good job, me," She murmured to herself, rubbing her hanging bangs against her cheeks and taking comfort in the familiar softness and warmth. As if recharged by her newfound happiness, her hair gave a quiet crackling like laundry just removed from the dryer. A fresh wave of static jolted down the ends of each strand, causing her formerly drooping bangs to once more fluff violently outward and her curling ahoge to shoot right back upright. And, as she stood up to follow him, her long, trailing braid in the back twitched a bit from one side to the other as if possessed of a will of its own, giving her a rather uncanny resemblance to a puppy wagging its tail in delight at its master's return.

Fumika still was curious about a lot of things. Yoshida apologized even though he'd come back like he'd said he would, which didn't really make sense to her. He hadn't told a lie, and sitting around like he'd asked her to wasn't a difficult task to perform, so why was he saying he was sorry? And... She'd wanted to talk to him more. Well, maybe "talk to him" wasn't really accurate, but she wanted to listen to him talk, like she'd always listened when Haruka had told her stories or taught her about being a hero. He was really energetic and nice, so when he spoke to her, it was fun. It made her feel good about herself, because she knew that such a cool person wanted her to hear what he had to say. But once again, it seemed like she wouldn't get the chance, which made her sad.

At least they'd be in the same class... is what she thought, but then Yoshida said that he was in a different elective. Although he told her what to do while he was gone, she couldn't help but wish that she could just follow him instead. Still, she had something to do, so that was better than nothing, right...?

Before going, he also said something else strange. "See you later," was normal enough. Haruka had said the same when Fumika had left for Hosu. It meant that they'd meet at some later time, which she'd never had any reason to doubt before. But then he added on all sorts of big words to explain himself, which she didn't really get. It almost sounded like he was asking her not to approach him... But then he said he wanted her to...? It didn't really make any sense, but he probably wasn't telling her to leave him alone... right? If she was troubling him, it would have been more direct, like how it usually was.

"You're stupid and annoying and you keep getting in the way! Why don't you just leave me alone?"

Fumika shook her head. Yoshida was her friend. He was nice like Haruka. He wouldn't say something like that. That wasn't how it was supposed to go. So, doing her best not to remember what she couldn't forget, she raised a hand and wobbled it slightly from side to side in what was probably her idea of a wave.

"See you later, Yoshida."

As they parted ways, her ahoge drooped once more, and she gave a dejected sigh. Back home, there hadn't been many students, so everyone had always been in the same class, which meant she could always spend time with Haruka. But here, it seemed like she wouldn't be able to spend time with her friends as much. Friends... In the first place, the plural still seemed strange to her. This place really was nothing like what she was used to... Everything was moving so much faster and there was so much more everything and all of the everythings were... were...

Fumika yawned. Today made her sleepy. But she couldn't sleep here. This was a hallway. It wasn't comfy enough to sleep. She shook her head, and rubbed her hair vigorously against her cheeks until her focus came back. Class. It was time for class. Locating the door, she entered only to find everyone already sitting down, and a tall man at the front talking about something. Probably food. This class was for food, right? Then they were probably talking about food. There were a few people she recognized, but several more who she didn't... Confusing. It was much simpler if one always had the same classmates, like she was used to. Now she'd have to record them, too, so she wouldn't fail to recognize them... Her eyes blinked red, and she ran her eyes over the room. Just like that, she was done. Oh, right. She was still standing in the doorway, and people were giving her funny looks again. Was she interrupting something?

Oh. This was a class. You weren't supposed to stand in class unless you were presenting or answering something. Was she doing either of those things? If she was answering, what was the question? She couldn't remember a question, so she must have missed it. In that case, she wasn't answering. So why was she standing up? She needed to sit down. Jett was here, so she could probably... No. The Main Character seat. Yoshida had told her to get it, so that meant it must be important. She needed to do it. So, resolutely plowing her way across the room, she completely ignored the ruckus she was causing as she slipped past and stepped over anyone in her way until she found the chair in the corner by the window, and which point she tossed herself down in it, either completely oblivious to or welcoming of whatever attention she might attract in so doing. The main character was supposed to make a big entrance like that, right? She hoped she was doing it right. She'd never been the main character before... This all would have been so much simpler if Yoshida had been there to give her advice...

Haruka Sanegeyama

At Clemont's entrance, Haruka straightened herself up a little bit, trying not to look too slumped over while also attempting to remain as neutral in the crowd as possible. She cringed internally when he opened the class with a question. Quite frankly, Haruka didn't know. Cooking was far from a strong suit of hers, and any specifics absolutely escaped her. "Just keep quiet and listen," she thought, fidgeting slightly. Her fingers clasped together, thumbs rubbing up against one another. "If he calls on you, don't freak out, just say you don't know. Class is for learning. It's fine." Though she remained nervous, she was trying her best not to let it get to her. Pursed lips and an avoidance of eye contact with Clemont gave her away, but fate was merciful and other students answered.

She paid mind to what they said regarding actual kitchen safety, and while the input of the girl who was apparently heat-resistant was interesting, Haruka had no such advantages and didn't pay it too much mind. Though it did bring a thought to mind regarding some downright terrifying videos she had seen during those late-night internet binges. After Donny spoke, Haruka cleared her throat and decided to throw in as well. "U-uh, don't use water to put out a grease fire?" She stammered out, not with much confidence behind the answer despite having witnessed some clear evidence as to why it was a bad idea. After giving her answer, she slunk down into her chair, glancing at Donny again. "Man, that guy knows his stuff," she silently thought, hoping to be able to do a sort of watch-and-learn when the actual cooking portion of class started.

Roy Kusayanagi

Roy laughed at Mina's reply to his teasing, her face was bright red once again it was so obvious. Though he stopped when Kaida started complimenting Jett, he smirked that when she explained she was heat resistant, Roys eyes widened as he started to smile a bit. "That explains why you weren't bothered when I released my energy back at lunch." his curiosity growing. She said not to tax his powers for her comfort. Roy just smiled,

"Who said your comfort can't be one of my priorities? Can't just have you freezing if I can help it. I have to release my energy every so often or else it has negetive effects on me so why let it go to waste? he said before Jett came asking what had happened. Roy grinned "they were using the word together I think Kaida had asked if you and Mina were a thing and Mina's face got red with denial saying you get on her nerves but at the same time you don't" Roy said leaning forward and folding his arms on the table smirking at Mina. He left out what Kaida said, she wasn't apart of his payback

"Why start a rumor when I can just go to the source" he said teasing her.

“Did she just feel me up?” she thought the girls grabbing hands squeezing on her rump, the action itself would have caused an involuntary action to violence, but being that Yukari was a female as well she couldn’t be bothered to work up the effort to be mad; plus, it’s not like the girl made her uncomfortable being there. Though she did blush bright red when the blind girl continued before noticing she wasn’t sitting on a seat and began to apologize repeatedly causing a little bit of a scene. In her efforts to say how sorry she was the girl stumbled over her words that most people could have taken as flirtatious in fact there wasn’t much of a way to take it but this stunning realization wouldn’t hit Joann’s stun locked brain for a while. “Don’t worry about it, you’re not a boy so its fine, although thank you for the compliment, I didn’t know my lap felt luxurious” Joann joked running her hand down her skirt to straighten it out by then the actual teacher of the class had walked into and started class.

“Oh bother” she said under her breath sucking her teeth at the irritation her hat was gone, now she couldn’t put it over her head to sleep. Joann stretched out her legs and crossed her feet closing her eyes attempting to catch some type of dream to make class go by faster. However, she didn’t a good chance at sleeping with the sporadic students jumping at the chance to answer the question of what type of grenade he was holding up.

Dulga Tarata

Dulga opened her eyes as class finally started. Their teacher was a hero that Dulga actually recognizes: Arsenal the Gun Fighter. He actually had a few other names aside from that, but that's the one that Dulga knew him by. It was simple and to the point; he was a hero who fought with guns. And other gadgets too of course. She didn't expect him to be teaching at a school however. He didn't seem the type to tolerate curious or stupid kids. Still, Dulga was glad someone like him was teaching this class. It made her feel less self-conscious about bringing her own gun when, after the syllabus was handed out, she noted that Arsenal laid out his own handcannon too. She saw a gun like his in a magazine once; .500 caliber revolvers. Rather ostentatious for Dulga's taste, as such heavy guns would blow a man's arm off. However she also knew that it wasn't just big bullets that could be fitted; chances are Arsenal had all sorts of special ammunition to subdue and incapacitate his enemies without killing them. It would certainly explain why he needed big bullets and used a revolver, instead of something more practical like a rifle.

Arsenal asked everyone what he was holding in his hand. It was obvious a grenade. Others started explaining more about what it was, specifically an EMP, but Dulga didn't think that's what was the point. While it could be an EMP, and it would be useful if it was, the fact that it wasn't immediately obvious what it was made it more dangerous. For all they knew it could actually be some sort of electroshock grenade, or even a some sort of magnetizing bomb. And when someone throws it at your feet you don't have much time to try to guess what it is before it goes off. What Arsenal was holding wasn't just a bomb, it was a trap. Of course that was just the metaphorical answer, it probably was an electroshock grenade. Dulga wondered if she would need something like that and started taking notes.

Yukari Yozakura

Yukari squirmed in her chair uncomfortably as she tried her best to not fret over her little incident. The girl didn't seem too offended, which was good, but Yukari still felt bad for what she did. She promised herself to make it up to her somehow. Good thing the teacher came in and started class to get Yukari's mind off of her accident. His name was Erron Kaiser, or Arsenal the Artillery Hero. She heard of him through one of the circus performers, a sharpshooter himself. He always boasted that he could beat people like Snipe and Arsenal when it came to a duel, but Yukari has never actually seen him do anything remotely impressive. And that's not just because she was blind. Hopefully Arsenal would be just as good a teacher as he was a hero.

As class started papers were handed out, which Yukari immediately just put into her bag. A small smile grew on her face when Arsenal showed the class something. Yukari just kept staring forward at the front of the class and tried to listen for what he was holding. It was hard to pick out, but she heard some static. Must have been something electrical. That's when the rest of the class starting saying it was an EMP grenade and talking about EMP's. Yukari didn't actually know what that was but she did her best to listen and learn. She also wondered if Arsenal knew that she was blind or not. Yukari never had teachers aside from her parents, so she wasn't sure if they knew how to deal with someone like her. It made Yukari feel a bit sad knowing that she might be giving teachers a hard time, but she tried not to think about it too much. She'd have to improve herself somehow, even if it meant overcoming her blindness.

"It sounds like you're holding someone sort of electronic device. There's a very faint humming noise, but it's steady and calm. It's not armed right now."

Reina Mori Yashiro, Takeshi

Takeshi was on his way to class from his dorm room after having lunch with his little sister. Classes for her middle school, which happened to be around the corner didn’t start for another day or so. It was one of the reasons he picked this school, so she could be close to him just in case…

He decided to walk around the cafeteria, just to see what it was like incase he decided to eat there. He could hear a big commotion inside, but didn’t bother himself with it. Probably just some pricks acting up and picking fights.

He was still a little early for class, so his stroll was slow, as he took in the scenery of the outside eating area. It was impressive for a school to have such a nice facility, but that does make sense being the second best Hero school in the country under the UA.

As he walked around the corner he suddenly felt a strong unseen force push him back abruptly. Mad he was caught off guard, but his reflexes were quick enough to keep himself on his feet as he slid into a fighting stance, his right hand going for his sword. Which wasn’t there. He cursed at the school’s rules about weapons. It seemed stupid they would ban weapons from being carried when most if all of these kids quirks could be just as lethal.

He quickly looked around and noticed a girl on her hands and knees, gathering items that had been strewn about. And no one else. It was clear that no threat was there and he relaxed, quickly going over to the dark haired girl. He came up to her side squatted down just in front of her and grabbed a phone that was just out of her reach.

When she would look up at him he would offer a small smile, to show he was there to help and offered her phone just as quickly. He would smile even more when he noticed how cute she was. “I’m guessing this is yours?” he said a soft but deep voice.

Reina started, glancing up with widened eyes as she felt her face going red. Not only had she been seen crawling around and looking all pathetic, but this boy had taken pity on her on top of that. In her fit of embarrassment, she quickly looked away and scrambled to her feet, brushing her hands and knees. She paused when the boy spoke, her embarrassment fading for a moment. He... hadn’t asked if she was okay or anything of the sort. That made it easier for Reina to tell herself that maybe he wasn’t wasting his time pitying her. Maybe he was just someone who liked helping people, like her. His reasons were probably better than hers, though. Or maybe he was just being subtle with his pity.

A small frown fraught with uncertainty appeared on the girl’s lips. She nodded slightly, still avoiding eye contact as she glanced to her phone in his hand, gingerly reaching out to take it.

Takeshi watched as she quickly got up, face red and dusted herself off. He didn't get up from his position as she did this. Simply watching watching with just a hint of a faint smile on his lips. He didn't see why she she was embarrassed, accidents happen all the time. She continued to keep her eyes diverted from his, a frown on her face caused him to wipe the tiny smirk he had on his. He didn't mean to make her uncomfortable.

As she reached out to take the phone gingerly he reached out almost as slow as her to meet her halfway and to place it in her hand. He held it for a moment trying to make eye contact, but to no avail. Once he let go he then reached out while still squatting and picked up her lunchbox. Standing up slowly he closed the box for her and offered it as well. “I'm sorry for bothering you, I can't just walk away when I can help when I can.” He smiled as he looked down at her, “My name is Yashiro Takeshi. It's a pleasure to meet you.”

The girl paused for a heartbeat, noticing how the boy carefully handed her phone back. “You... aren’t bothering me...” That was true, really. It was her bothering herself, as always. “I... um, I understand that...” So he was someone like her... well, in that one sense, at least. Being totally like her would be unfortunate.

Reina finally glanced up to meet his gaze—for only a brief moment—as he gave his name. She nodded lightly again, frown fading a bit, though the uncertainty stayed. “...Mori Reina,” she said quietly with a tiny bow. She took her lunch box from him, a little less slowly this time. “Thank you... Yashiro-san...”

He smiled and bowed more deeply back to to her as she gave him a tiny one. ”You don't need to thank me, Mori-san.Learning your name is thanks enough.” With his hands free he placed his hands behind his back, gripping his left wrist with his right.

He looked around and asked, “If I may ask… was did someone hit you with that unseen force as well?” he asked curiously.

Reina blinked, her blush deepening as she immediately understood what Takeshi meant. Her lapse of concentration had inconvenienced someone again. As she silently kicked herself, she opened her mouth to explain.

“I-I... um, that’s my quirk...” she started, hands coming together in front of her as her body closed up a little. “I can control my gravitational field... but I’m not... I don’t really have a great handle on it...” The girl picked at her skirt with her clasped hands. “My gravity is naturally strong by default, pulling everything around towards me, so I... I have to keep it consciously in check so it doesn’t affect anything... kind of like flexing a muscle all the time?... S-so when I lose concentration it tends to... spasm, I guess...” As she spoke, she felt like she was taking up too much of the boy’s time—but he deserved an explanation for the discomfort her mistake had caused him, so she forced herself on, speaking as quickly as she dared while keeping her stuttering to a minimum.

He reddened slightly at realizing he should have figured it was her, kicking himself for choosing the wrong choice of words. She seemed to be embarrassed that he asked about it, as well as not having much control. He listened carefully and nodded at the end. ”I See. I can't even imagine what it would be like to be constantly trying to keep my quirk in check all the time.”

He paused for a moment as he admired the fact that she was willing enough to do so, and come to a hero academy to use it. [color=a187be] You must have a strong mind to keep such a powerful quirk in check. If it's only that small of a [i]spasm[/]“ he said with a genuine smile. This girl was truly interesting to him. He found it odd that the headmaster himself had a gravity quirk as well. Perhaps she was related.

He changed the subject. Taking his right hand and pointing towards the building where the classrooms were at with a open palm. ”I was actually on my way to class… would you allow me the pleasure of your company along the way? I am going to Hero gadgets right now.”

Reina instinctively shook her head upon receiving the compliments, but stopped herself from saying anything. Of course, she wanted to deny what he had said and say that should be better, but...

The girl blinked as Takeshi continued, frowning slightly as she fought back another urge to deny what he said—she was most certainly not a ‘pleasure’ to be around... Her mind wandered to her earlier interaction with Acion, Fumika, and Mamoru.

She had decided to improve herself. It was hard, no matter her sentiments... but Takeshi had done the hardest part for her. He had come up to her and had started their meeting. If she acted all negative and voiced how she thought of herself, she’d just be making him uncomfortable and push him away.

Of course, that had always been the point. Everyone was better off being pushed away by her—it was better they dislike her immediately than after a terrible, rocky ‘friendship’ brought on by her faults.

But she had told herself she’d try to be better. Unfortunately, that seemed to mean being selfish for some time, until she became less insufferable… or failed and dragged the people she wished to be friends with through the mud. Takeshi would be a guinea pig, of sorts, like Acion, Fumika, and Mamoru. She mentally apologized to the boy, feeling guilt creep into her as she gave her reply.

“...O-Okay...” she said awfully quietly, with a subtle nod. “I-I’m also in Hero Gadgets...”

He smiled and slowly walked to the right, waiting for her to walk alongside him. He found it cute how incredibly shy she was. He was not used to this, as his own little sister was almost completely of her, and the other girls he had met in school growing up were not this shy.

He wondered why she frowned when he had complimented her on her ability to control it. He pushed the thought away, as he smiled. ”Must be fate then.”

As he walked, he suddenly didn't know what to say, scratching the back of his head. As if that would help his thought process.

Reina went along in silence, staying a quarter of a step behind Takeshi. It was a silence she was used to. She wasn’t easy to have a conversation with. The girl frowned, deep in thought as she frantically tried to both think of something to say and gather the courage to speak up. Being sociable and... the opposite of how she was now... meant being able to do at least something this simple. She stared at her hands gripped that gripped her schoolbag in front of her thighs.

She paused, glancing up as she realized something in her thought process. “Y-Yashiro-san... I have no idea where our class is...” she said honestly in her soft voice, a hint of shame in her light blush. It was probably something that made her look silly to admit, but it had to be better than just letting the silence stagnate, right?...

He was glad she said something, anything. He literally could not think of what to say next. This never happened to him before, he always could carry a polite conversation. He looked at her, seeing her blush even slightly caused him to stare blankly at her. Forgetting what she said for a being moment and suddenly it clicked. Looking forward he suddenly realized.. he forgot the room number.

Stopping as he started to pat down his blazer and pants pockets. He turned red himself as he realized… he left his schedule on the table. He smiled. Clearing his throat. “I...guess that makes two of us then…” he chuckled nervously. His own blush of embarrassment burning his cheeks. He never did anything like this before, he was usually really good at remembering to have everything he needed before leaving, or even remembering a simple number of a room. But it seemed like his brain had shut off around this girl and now he was looking foolish.

He looked around, He knew for sure it was in that building. He would just have to ask around then. As the front desk was in the opposite direction.

He then straightened his shoulder. ”Well I was lucky to run into a fellow classmate, perhaps we can get lucky and find someone who does know where it's at?”

The girl paused, eyes widening imperceptibly as she glanced at Takeshi as he revealed he didn’t know either. She was taken aback by his embarrassed look, and looked away quickly once again to avoid looking like she was staring. There was no reason for him to feel even slightly ashamed of anything when he was with her, she thought... but it somehow made her a little happy.

The slightest smile that had formed on her lips disappeared quickly as she began to worry. Wouldn’t they be late? They already essentially were. This delay would make that worse.

She glanced to Takeshi for a moment again as she began to speak. “Would... it be too disrespectful to ask here?...” she asked with a small worried frown, reservedly pointing to the classroom they were walking by—a general education class, by the looks of it through the windows. The students and teacher were preparing for the start of class, settling into their desks.

Takeshi caught the tiny smile. Did she find it funny that he didn’t know where the room was as well? Actually it was a little comical. She did look up to him and point to a classroom they were passing. Asking if it would be too disrespectful to ask for directions. He merely shook his head and said, “No...they are just starting. I’m sure the teachers expect to get lost students walking into their rooms asking for directions. “

He moved to the door and walked in without hesitation. The mere action of opening the door gaining everyone's attention. He was sure that Mori-san, being so shy would not like being seen in the background. So he opened it enough so only he could be seen and looked at the teacher.

“Excuse me Sensi.” He bowed as he said it, “I seemed to have lost my way, and my schedule. Could you please direct me to Hero Gadgets?” Bowing his head once again.

Reina shrugged slightly, still unsure. Before she could reply, though, it seemed Takeshi had made up his mind. With her face beginning to heat up in anticipation of the public shame they were about to put themselves through—however necessary it was so they could just get to class—she gingerly reached her hand out towards the boy’s turned back. She stopped herself quickly, and felt another pang of guilt as she realized what he was doing for her. Indecisive, she simply stood there quietly, appreciating the gesture despite feeling bad for having him confront the class alone.

The teacher had opened had been passing out worksheets when the two students asked him a question, “Why certainly, go down the hall, up the stairs and the last classroom down on the left wing” he said as he continued passing out papers with a smile. The students in the classroom tried to glare hard outside the classroom in an attempt to get a glimpse of who was asking for directions.

He bowed his head again. “Thank you Sensei.” before sliding the door shut. He looked at Mori with a smile, apparently asking directions, a man’s greatest weakness. Was not an issue for him. “That was easy enough. Let’s get going Mori-san.” He said as he started to walk towards the stairs, with a little more speed than last time.

The girl blinked, nodding after a slow moment and taking off after Takeshi. They moved quickly to their destination, but her guilt weighed on her. “I-I’m sorry,” she said. It probably wasn’t obvious why she was apologizing, she realized, so she continued after a pause. “For... you know... letting you ask on your own...” Even if it hadn’t seemed like a big deal to him, Reina knew how much difficulty she would have had doing the same thing. It felt wrong to not show voice her appreciation... which she hadn’t done at all done. She had only apologized, like she had programmed herself to do her entire life. There was a much better way to show appreciation. The girl blushed lightly upon the strange, seemingly obvious realization.

“Th-thank you... again...” she said quietly. As she spoke, Takeshi slowed, so she followed his lead and glanced to the closed door nearest them—their class.

Takeshi was confused why she said she was sorry, untill she added to her apology. He only smiled as they continued to their class. He was going to say something but then she added thank you so softly that he almost missed it. glancing back he saw a blush on his face. It was totally worth it to see her blush again.

He stopped at the door and instead of opening it. He looked directly at Riena. “Mori-san. You don’t have to apologize for that, I was the one who opened the door. I was the one who asked on my own so you wouldn’t be embarrassed. I would do it again in an instant, cause that’s what friends do for each other correct? Help each other out? Just thank me by being my friend ok?” He gave a warm smile before waiting a few moments for her to prepare herself and opened the door suddenly walking into the room first. Looking directly to teacher he bowed his head. “Forgive me Arsenal Sensei for being late, we were lost and I forgot my schedule.”

Kasuke Mina

When Jett asked her why she was blushing, she was equal parts annoyed and relieved. Annoyed because she'd rather not go there. Relieved because Jett seemed to have cheered up since he put his phone away if he was teasing her already. She was about to answer, when Roy answered for her, and she turned round and stared daggers at him, before turning back to Jett.

"Choose your response to this very carefully," she warned , though still looking too much like a blushing tsundereto be menacing properly.

Arsenal

Arsenal smiled at all the answers, first one being pretty close from the winged boy, "You are close but not quite" the teacher reached onto the back of his toolbet pulling out an Emp grenade, it was larger in length than the initial grenade. "This is an EMP grenade which could knock out everyones technology out unless..." Arsenal stepped right behind the boy and shook his shoulder with excitement for him to situp. "You have a faraday cage which blocks electromagnetic field's." Arsenal then heard a girl said that the device is giving off a faint sound, "A good ear you have to be able to hear the device, this is an electroshock grenade packing enough volts to immobolize a group of people unconscious and fry their technology, a good thing to use in a scenario where your against a cluster of armed opponents. Though its easy to get it mixed up with an EMP which shuts down electronics in a radius" as he finished explaining two students had entered the class, the boy apologizing for being late.

"As long as you made it, I forgive you two. Grab a sylabus and take a seat." he said smiling, Arsenal went over the sylabus which had some basic rules about classroom safety, a rule he most importantly had that was bolded and in red. Do not use or touch the equipment without supervision, next to the rule was a skull and crossbones.

"Now that we went over some basic procedures, lets get you out there using some neat gear. Meet me at the training room in the Gymnasium." The training room was equipped with all your training needs, open room for sparring, Armory, a gym, and even a Shooting range for training your accuracy, Arsenal had gathered all his equipment and got a headstart on heading to the gym where he would wait for the students.

Clemont smiled as some of the students had answered correctly to his question, "très bon! Very good" he said a bit of his french language coming out from excitement. "These are all very good answers, even your's some others may not even have known!" he said pointing at Haruka energetically with a smile, . His smile then disappeared as some students had been talking over him having their quarrel over something, that and a young girl with glasses abruptly standing in the dead center of class looking completely lost before plowing her way knocking aside chairs and things on the desk making her way to a chair making her pretty much the center of attention, Clemont Raised an eyebrow. He walked to the center of the classroom, Mesdames et Messieurs, I do not want to discipline you on the first day, whatever you guys are talking about can wait until after class, and you. Connoissuer said pointing at Fumika, "Please if you knock things over pick them up, we don't want people tripping and falling do we? He walked back to the front of the room and reading the sylabus to the class explaining some basic rules as well as locations such as the fire extuingisher and where the food pantry and meat locker. "Now that we are done with that, today we will be making Onigiri rice balls. Clemont grabbed a dry erase marker and popped the cap off. "The main ingredients being, Rice, water, salt, and Nori.." he wrote the ingredients on the board before. "Get into groups of two and head to a work station, you will find directions. If you want to diverge from the recipe I have set for you come talk to me." He said placing his hands on his hips and smiling.
