Jett Haven

Jett looked over at Roy as he told him what they were talking about. He looked at Kaida with a surprise as she was the one who asked the question, but ultimately turned his head towards Kauske.

He caught the look of daggers she aimed at Roy which looked fierce. But when she looked at him, despite her attempt to look threatening at him. The blush came back in full force. This made him smile, totally forgetting about what had just happened a few moments before.

Kasuke if she was looking him in the eyes would almost see all of the the smart alic, teasing, cute remarks go through his thought process as if it was a list of what was the best thing to say. The whole time which was only a second or two, bit felt like an eternity he was giving her a warm smile with just a hint of playfulness. As if her words to him were a challenge.

Mostly he was just admiring how cute she looked with that tusundre angry/embarrassed look on her face. He realized they would most likely be paring up, and he did say he wanted to be first to try her first plate. So he then said; with an amused false hurt look on his face.

” You think I'm irritating?” totally intentionally ignoring the fact that she didn't try to correct Roy that she was in denial/embarrassed about the Thought of being a thing with him. He gave her A sly wink before turning to Roy. “You should have listened to her Roy, we are indeed just friends at the moment. he said, in an oddly calm voice. He did say at the moment more quickly but in a way that it was just a fact, nothing special. But to him it was the key of the sentence.

Suddenly the teacher pointed them out at which he raised his hand.Sorry that was my fault he chuckled.

The teacher ignored him and went into the lesion tellin. Them to get into groups of two just as he thought. He nudged Kauske just slightly with his elbow. Looking to her, I know I'm irritating and all, but would you like to partner up?

Kasuke Mina

That was the part he picked up on? She supposed it was preferable to chasing the avenue of them being a thing, but still! "I've already told you I think you're a little irritating," she replied. "You just never seem to listen."

Mina settled down, but was silently fuming at Roy and Jett for provoking her and getting her into trouble from a teacher, though they all really go into trouble, she wouldn't have if it weren't for them. The teacher went on to tell them what they were making. At least it sounded simple enough a recipe.

When Jett wasted no time she volunteered, she nodded, agreeing with no fuss. She was still a shade red. "I shall partner up with you, yes. Let's head to a workstation."

Walking almost like a robot to the nearest station, she sat down. She actually appeared unusually tense. "So, you said you've cooked before, right?"

ACION

There were two other students who hadn't arrived, and the winged boy only realized that until they both came in. His friend, Reina, and a dark-haired figure. Acion couln't help but gave a light smile at the girl once his adversary. He would have given both of them a hello, but class was in session, so talking like that would be extremely rude. So he waited, waited, until Arsenal moved the class to the Gymnasium.

Acion wasted no time approaching them.

"Good afternoon Reina, what took you so long back then?"

His eyes then landed on the other guy. He appeared competent, and had a somewhat similar expression to Acion: observance, and most importantly determination. This could also be the hero everyone needed, and he may be on his same path.

"I don't think we have properly met. My name is Acion Nakamiji. In the same class as Reina here. You are?"

Mamoru Akasha

As the class speculated about the teacher’s bomb two later comers finally arrived. One she didn't recognize; tall, dark, edgy type who Mamoru pinned as a chunnibyou. And then it was Reina. ”Reina-chan! I didn't know you were going to be in my class!” Mamoru eagerly waved at the two during Arsenal’s class, missing a bit of his initial talk about the rules and safety stuff. That didn't matter too much to Mamoru though, because afterwards they went right to the practical stuff; the teacher lead the class to a huge training center/armory where they could practice using all sorts of tools and equipment. Mamoru was practically a little girl in a toy store.

Mamoru went up to various display cases and looked at all the different tools and devices that could be used. Stuff from simple police batons to stun guns, even some high tech stuff that looked way too complex for Mamoru to guess what they do. Mamoru was excited to use the big guns off the bat, but most of them were restricted and needed teacher permission to use. ”Oh darn. Arsenal probably won't let me play with some of their crazier stuff until I've ‘earned it’ or something.” So Mamoru kept looking around until she found something that she could use; a pair of collapsible metal tonfas. Built for compact carrying while still retaining its durability, they were lightweight titanium-steel rods that could withstand up to two tons of force pressed against them, and were specifically built to resist and withstand blades. There was also an option to add an electroshock function to the business ends of the batons too.

”Hue, this looks like fun! And no permission lock either.”

Mamoru requested one of the electroshock collapsible tonfa’s and kept looking around. She found that riot suppression rubber ball grenade she once saw in a movie (skip to 1:49), though of course Mamoru wasn't allowed to request one without teacher permission. ”So they're called Hornet Nests? Cool.” There was also some guns and such too but they also needed teacher permission. But one thing that caught Mamoru’s interest wasn't tools, but one of the training rooms. There was a target range and sparring area sure, but there was one more function these rooms served. There was a room with a few “villain” robots like what they fought back during the entrance exam, but this time there was options to make them tougher. More competent at fighting as well as armed, though of course they used rubber weapons and bullets. But this was just the sort of practical learning Mamoru loved the most.

Mamoru was eager to give it a go. Just a practice run first of course, just one robot sparring partner set to level 1, the lowest level. Mamoru was able to defeat a level 1 bot at the entrance exam, but this time she also made it so that the robot was armed with rubber bullets. Again, at its lowest setting, but the robots they had fought didn't have any ranged weapons. Once the robot was ready Mamoru grabbed her tonfa and extended it. Instead of the “usual” way one holds the tonfa so it's parallel, Mamoru wielded hers like a club, using the handle as a crossguard. Then she manifested her shield and stepped into the training room. A mechanical female voice spoke over the speakers.

“Training simulation will begin in thirty seconds. All non-combatants please leave the area. Training simulation will begin in thirty seconds. All non-combatants please leave the area. This is a Level 1 Training simulation against a single opponent armed with a low caliber firearm. Prepare yourselves, young heroes. You may now begin.”

Donny Yang

Class continued as the Connoisseur congratulated those who answered his question, though he also called out Jett, Mina, Roy, and Kaida for talking during class. Donny smiled a bit but was a bit sad himself. He wished he could be chatting with them too, though between his own awkwardness and the fact he was trying to pay attention to the class, he didn't want to get into trouble. He also noted Fumika coming in late and knocking things over as she clumsily got to her seat. This brought an awkward smile onto to Donny's face. ”She's silly.”

It was then that the teacher went over the syllabus as well as other things about the class, such as the location of the pantry and refrigerator. Important stuff right there. Wasn't long until they had their first recipe: onigiri. Donny was slightly disappointed at how simple this was going to be, but then again this was a school for heroes, not some best-in-the-world culinary school. If they had to make something like, Beef Bourguignon, just on the first day of class, Donny would've have a hard time himself. So he got up and started looking for the things he'll need to start cooking.

First he needed a workstation, which was easy enough to find. It had a clear space for preparing food, a sink to get water, and a oven/stove combo. First thing first: Donny needed to make rice. Normally he just used an electric rice cooker, but he didn't have one right now. Fortunately Donny knew how to use traditional wooden steamers. ”Thanks grandma.” Donny said quietly to himself. It wasn't hard for Donny to find a nice wooden rice steamer and an iron pot to heat the water one, one shaped to hold the steamer. It was a. It worn and burnt, but that was fine with Donny. Meant that it was used before, which tells Donny that this is reliable. Afterwards he got himself a big wooden spoon, a cutting board, and a bowl before he went to look for ingredients. Rice, of course, was needed. He was used to long grain jasmine rice instead of the usual short grain rice than a lot of the Japanese uses, however for onigiri Donny would have to use Japanese rice. Jasmine rice was too soft and not sticky enough to hold an onigiri together.

Donny was pleasantly surprised that when he went to the pantry, not only was it HUGE, but it indeed did also have a variety of rice from Thai Jasmine he was used to, as well as the Japanese “sushi” rice. They even had some foreign brands of rice grains from Africa too, Donny never had those before. He made a mental note to give them a taste one day. For now however Donny needed to focus on the task at hand. Taking a heaping of Japanese rice, Donny also looked around the pantry for dried seaweed, or nori. Donny never really made a dish with nori before, though he remembers eating them with ramen. Good stuff. He found a couple sheets of nori and ate one just to taste test it. Crunchy and salty. Lastly he needed salt. Donny opted for sea salt, as he liked the tangy taste.

Returning to his workstation Donny had all the basic ingredients to make onigiri. He figured he ought to start off simple and make sure he remembers how to do this right before he starts making anything more complex, at least when it came to filling. There was only one thing missing: his partner. Donny looked over to find Mina, but it looked like Jett was already working with her. He'd try to opt for a group of three, but there was still plenty of others to partner with too. ”Come on Donny Boy. Life isn't just going to give you everything you want. You gotta… Go get em.”

Gulping Donny looked around for potential partners, ideally people he hasn't spoken to before. These were his classmates after all, not complete strangers. He needed to get to know them.”Hmm… Ah… S-S-Scusi.” Donny approached a rather short, plump girl. For some reason, she reminded Donny a lot of himself. ”D-D-Do you wanna be p-p-p-partners?” Donny gave the girl a wry, shy smile. This would be the first time he actually talked to a girl on his own initiative. He considers this a big step.

Kaida Baeumont

Kaida smiled and nodded at Roy when he realaised that is why she had no problem in the lunchroom. When he said why couldn't he make her comfort a priority she turned beat red. Lost for words she said nothing as he explained that he needed to release the energy anyways that if he had to, he might as well put it to good use. Inwardly she was excited at the prospect of constant heat. But still the fact he said t the way he did was something she never expected

He went on to tease Mina and slightly her by revealing to Jett she asked the question. She covered her face to somehow hide her embarrassment. Thoughts of his thought clouding words about her as a priority vanished quite completely as she get the urge to slap his arm.

Which happened like a reflex despite actually not wanting to. It was then the teacher called them out and she shrunk in her seat as she felt the others in he class staring her.

She did see that Mina was surprised that Jett only picked the part about him being irritatiNg. But it was clear in how he said she t that he was playing. He did have a very warm smile now. Was he happy that Minawas like this?

They did seem cute together though. And she did catch the “at the moment” he quickly added on. So he DID like her like that. She frowned when he immediately chose her to be his partner but a look of determination came on her face. It was still the first day. She had time to catch his eye. It wasn't a sure thing yet and if mina continued to fight it, she might make it so it went to Kaidas favor.

She turned to Roy and said ”I've never cooked Asian style food… would you help me?”

As the teacher pointed at her, Fumika blinked, cocked her head to the side, and turned around, as if looking for someone behind her. When no such individual appeared, she turned back around, seeming to realize only at length that the instructor was addressing her. Had she been knocking things over? She hadn't really noticed as she'd crossed the room, because she'd been focusing on trying to find the main character seat. Maybe her hair had snagged on some things and knocked them to the ground? That happened sometimes...

Oh. He was moving on with the lesson. As he began reciting the contents of the syllabus, Fumika's attention wandered a bit. She'd already memorized the copy online at a glance, so she already was familiar with most of what he was saying. And, when she'd recorded the people in the room earlier, she'd had plenty of time to survey its contents, so she already knew roughly where everything was... She glanced back over to where Jett was, seated almost completely on the other side of the room. He seemed like a nice person, and was apparently her friend... Wasn't she supposed to spend time with her friends? In that case, shouldn't she have taken the seat right beside him where the shiny girl from the exercise was sitting? Over here, she couldn't even talk to him... But Yoshida had specifically told her to get this seat. That meant it was important, right? She supposed she'd just have to give up on getting the chance to talk to him again... That made her a little sad.

Before she knew it, the teacher began moving on to their assignment for the day. They were supposed to make riceballs, which was easy, but they were also supposed to partner up into groups of two... But weren't there seven students in the room, including her? That didn't make sense. Seven divided by two wasn't a whole number. They needed another person...

Oh, but she was supposed to be partnering up with someone. Whenever she'd needed a partner back home, she'd always just run to Haruka. In that case, she should... She took two steps towards Jett, then stopped, her hair drooping as she overheard him say something about partnering up to the shiny girl... Then who was she supposed to partner with? The only other person she recognized was the big, empty man who'd been on the other team during the earlier exercise... But he seemed to be partnered with someone else, and she didn't want to bother him. There was also a blonde boy and a tiny, white-haired girl who seemed to be working together, but that just left...

Fumika stood alone in the far corner of the room, shoulders slumping slightly as she realized she was, as usual, the odd one out. It was strange. Normally, this wouldn't have bothered her. After all, she was used to just watching. This was how it normally went. This was fine. It had always been fine. So then why, suddenly, did this feel so strange? Of course nobody would want to partner up with someone like her. She was stupid, and annoying, and would only get in the way. It was best for everybody if she just watched.

"Is it alright for me to eat here?"

He'd immediately turned around and smiled happily, as if he was glad just to see her. That smile made her want to smile back. It made her feel strangely warm inside, in a way she couldn't quite describe, but had missed sorely ever since their conversation had abruptly ended.

"Sure, Motome-chan! Grab a seat!"

He hadn't hesitated to welcome her. Even though she'd gone out of her way and approached him, he hadn't been bothered by it.

She wondered. If she'd been a little faster to ask someone to be her partner, would they have smiled for her, too? Maybe Jett would have given her that strange grin of his, called her by her name and welcomed her to join him. Or maybe the other people she didn't know would have been nice to her even though she was stupid? But these well-wishing fantasies swiftly collapsed as prior experience reminded her of how farfetched they were. Besides, even the teacher had been upset with her... The students would probably just think she was a bother, right? She sighed. Maybe, if Yoshida had been there, then maybe she wouldn't have had to feel this way...

She shook her head. There was something she was supposed to be doing. She couldn't afford to waste time. There weren't enough people for everyone to have a partner, but that was fine, because so long as the numbers were right, there wouldn't be a problem, would there? And a fake partner would do just as well as a real one. They wouldn't even be angry with her no matter how badly she messed up. It was just like gym class back home, before she met Haruka. Or group discussion time in literature class. Or lab time in science class. Or really any time she needed help with something and she couldn't ask Haruka. Right. This had always been more than sufficient. In fact, it was faster this way, because she didn't need to worry about understanding what anyone else was thinking. So long as she could solve the problem at hand, it was fine. This was normal. There wasn't anything to worry about. A computer worked best when addressing one task at a time, and any power she devoted to a problem she couldn't solve or to people she couldn't understand was wasted effort. So, she'd give her all to complete this task, and address the situation at hand!

Her eyes flickered to green, and a drastically shortened bar pulsed back to life around the crown of her head. Her energy was still at only about 14%... It wasn't like making another her required much effort to maintain, though... And so long as she didn't go more than a couple of inches away from herself, then the transmission would stay efficient enough that it was manageable. Cooking didn't take much exertion, either, so she could probably keep it up without passing out in class. Still, there was no sense in wasting energy she didn't need... And it had been a few years since she'd really cooked anything herself. Rather than trying to make her current self do something it hadn't done, maybe a smaller her would be better?

A significantly shorter, slightly younger Fumika, clad in a frilly navy blue dress and a bright pink apron, blinked into existence next to her. Fumika reached out a hand, and little her did the same, before both image and original moved in perfect sync, shaking each other's hands.

"I'll be your partner. Thank you for working with me~," She recited in a sing-song, childish voice to herself. Naturally, since she was talking to a projection, there was really no point, but getting to cooperate and get along with herself like she'd seen others do with each other made her happy, so she'd long ago made a habit of treating her copies as her friends when she could afford to. Little her gave her a smile that seemed somehow brighter and more welcoming than she remembered herself being, and stepped forward, hugging her tightly. She hugged back, nuzzling her cheek against her own fluffy hair. Something she didn't really understand still hurt, even now... But this felt a little better than how it had been before. This, at least, was one thing she didn't dislike about her Quirk. She never had to be lonely, nor did she ever have to trouble anyone or worry about how they felt, or other things she couldn't understand.

Even if nobody else noticed or cared, and even if she was all alone, Fumika always had as many friends as she needed to cheer her up.

Jett Haven

Jett had forgotten that she told him that at lunch. He simply shrugged it seemed his move not going for the part that she didn't deny Roy statement about being in denial her self went unnoticed. That and he tried to clear the record for her. Should have teased her a little more then.

Though he was glad she quickly accepted and moved onto a station. Perhaps it was worth it after all. He smiled and the other two and got up and made his way over to where Kasuke had gone. While he did he unbuttoned his sleeves and methodically rolled each up in a tight two inch and as to not actually bend the fabric around the wrist, as many people do and ruin them. This way when he unrolled them they would be unwrinkled. But also not slip down his forearms and get in the way. He also grabbed two aprons and moved to Kasuke. Who was siting and looking very…. tense at te moment.

She must be nervous about actually cooking. As she told hi in confidence that she never cooked a day in her life. She asked if he said he could cook. He knew she remembered obviously as she brought it up, but he then said in a joking tone. ” Now who is the forgetful one.” he placed the apron in her hands and gave her a warm comforting smile.

”Yes, I cook. Just be glad this is a simple snack for your first time. I'll be here to help you through everything. First, we must wash our hands.” he started first and quickly dried them off, taking an extra towel and slipping. It into his belt so it would hang over his right leg. He then leaned in close to her so only they would hear each other.

”Now I know you haven't cooked a day in your life, but I'm going to have you do much of this one, it's easy. I'll support you. First thing we got to do is rinse the rice. If you want to put two cups of rice in and fill it up and mix it around with your hands while I get the other ingredients?

Haruka Sanegeyama

Clemont's direct praise towards her made Haruka blush a pretty bright shade of pink. She anticipated feeling an immense, crushing pressure from being pointed out, but when it came along with a compliment? It was different. Kind of nice, even. She smiled back, and though she didn't say anything aloud (she knew damn well she'd be fumbling over her words and would ruin the moment) she shot Clemont a nice thumbs-up. Very smooth. When he continued on with his lessons, Haruka settled back into her seat and listened, taking in the information he relayed to the class.

"Onigiri, huh? Can't be too hard," Haruka thought. Her dad made it all the time, and she had helped him do it when she was a kid. Well, kind of. At best, she just sort of handed him handfulls of rice that he'd touch up with shaping or sprinkled the seed toppings across the finished product. But it was simple, thank goodness for that, and the only real potential for disaster she could imagine was making the rice overflow while it cooked. She wasn't used to fancy, classic instruments. A rice cooker was about one of the few things she knew how to use, given the ease of it's "drop in and ignore for a while" manner of cooking.

Of course, since nothing could be easy, she began to complicate things for herself. "Hm, what about filling? I like the tuna ones dad does...But what are the ingredients for that? Damn it. Okay, not that one. Anko, maybe? No, no, no, that would be too sweet..." Biting her lip, she began to feel a bit nervous again. She didn't want to make the most bog standard example of herself possible, but if she went a step further, that only increased her chances of failure. "Come on, idiot, can't you even get through one thing that's even a little hard without freaking out?" She silently scolded herself, trying to get a handle on the situation again.

Her leg began to shake, heel bouncing off the floor at a pace that was more rapid than someone would think a girl of her build could manage to move at. It stopped suddenly when Donny approached and spoke to her, and she looked up to him with her current expression of overflowing anxiety. It wasn't until she had a few seconds to realize it was him and see what he was holding did she calm down, just in time for him to ask her a proper question.

"My god, you're a savior," Haruka thought, nodding as she swallowed a knot in her throat before she spoke up. "Y-yeah, if that's not t-too much trouble?" She answered, getting out of her seat and straightening out her uniform a bit. She hesitated for a moment, but then stuck a hand out. People greeted like this, she was pretty sure. "I, uh, I'm Haruka. S-Sanegeyama."

Mamoru Akasha

“You may now begin.”

The robot didn't waste a second; it raised its gun arm and took a shot right at Mamoru’s face. Fortunately for her she already had her shield out and positioned it to intercept the bullet. A loud bang was heard as the robot fired a tiny rubber ball that smacked into Mamoru’s Aegis. It didn't even bounce off: the moment it touched Mamoru’s shield all momentum just vanished and it fell to the floor. The robot fired five more times before retracting its arm to reload.

”Six shots huh? Like a revolver!”

This was when Mamoru went to strike. She charged right up to the robot as he was reloading, but as she got closer it raised its arm to smack Mamoru away. However she simply blocked the robots attack with her shield and slammed the edge right into the body of the robot. The mechanical enemy was dented and groaned but wasn't out yet. One arm grabbed Mamoru’s shield while its gun arm was swung down at Mamoru’s head she tried to pull her shield out but the robot was a bit too strong for her to force the shield out. So she dismissed her Aegis and hopped back before the robot could hit her.

”Tch. Force of habit. Need to use my weapon more.”

Summoning her shield again Mamoru started running around the robot as he finished reloading and fired at Mamoru. At first she was able to outrun its shots by keeping ahead of its gun barrel, but then it adjusted its aim and targeted the space in front of Mamoru instead of following her. Instinctively Mamoru brought her shield up, stopping the bullet once more before she charged at the robot. It didn't seem to try reloading and got ready to punch Mamoru. ”You never learn!” Once more Mamoru was able to stop the punch simply by blocking it with her shield, and even as the robot tried to catch Mamoru off guard with a kick, she only needed a slight shift to intercept the robots sneak attack as well. With the opponent balancing on one leg Mamoru put all her strength into pushing the machine over, where it fell with ease.

Mamoru didn't give the robot a moment to recover as she jumped onto the larger machine’s chest and started bashing the robot in the face with her baton. One smack across its eyes to blind it before she activated the electroshock function. Then she smacked the robot again just for good measure. When it tried to reach up and grab her, that was when Mamoru plunged the shock baton right into the robot’s chest. This sent a powerful electrical surge through the machine's body, causing the robot’s body to stiffen as she kept sending energy into the machine, stunning it.

Eventually the robot stopped moving and the female robot voice came back up. “The training simulation is over. Result: One enemy combatant defeated. Time: eighteen seconds.” Getting off the machine Mamoru took a few deep breaths. She wasn't really hurt and her body was still feeling the high from her little warm up. All in all she did pretty well, but she only fought one robot at its lowest setting with a dinky little simulated revolver. That wasn't really a villain, that was just a thug with a gun. Still Mamoru was glad that the tonfa she got was useful; it gave that robot a wallop and it's stun function would make it useful in a fight too.

”Let’s turn it up a notch. Two robots with guns! Or maybe even three! I wonder if they have a time attack mode or something, I wanna see how many bots I can take out this time.”

Donny Yang

Smiling, Donny was glad that this girl accepted his offer. He wasn't sure what he'd do if she said no! Probably ask someone else, though he would've felt a bit hurt inside. Regardless. Now that he had a partner he could get cooking. ”T-T-Thanks, Sanegeyama-San! My n-name’s Donny. Donny Yang.” Donny shook Haruka’s hand and motioned towards the workstation he had set up. U-Um. I have my set up over there. I-If you don't mind, could you fill and heat up the pot while I go get our aprons?” Donny said in a slowly more calmer manner. Though he was talking to a girl now, his mind was on cooking. He couldn't let his own insecurities get in the way of his dish, no matter how simple it is.

He left Haruka to start heating up the water while he went to get aprons for the two of them. They didn't really have any Donny’s size, so while he took one apron for Haruka, Donny ended up just wearing two aprons to cover up his chest. As he was returning to his work station he noticed that Fumika was working by herself. Well, she had someone with her, but that someone was one of those funny copies she makes. It looked like Fumika herself but wearing different clothes. That was very sad and something woke in Donny’s heart. And spoke into his head.

”Look at her. That's pathetic. She has to make her own partner! A sock puppet! Just to get anything done. Sounds familiar doesn't it? I wonder how many of our friends were really just us wearing a new mask, dressed in a new disguise? But that has to change. We can't keep pretending to be these things. That's who you are. Or rather, why pretend? Why not just embrace the delusions and become the mask? Come on Donny Boy. Don't you want to be the hero to save yourself? Now's your chance. Don't screw up.”

Donny just stood there staring at Fumika for a little while before he went back to get another apron. Then he walked over to Fumika and tapped her on the shoulder. ”Motome-San, don't forget your apron.” Donny held out a white apron for Fumika. He wasn't really sure what to do from here. Ask her to join him? Maybe have her partner up with Haruka? Donny wish he knew. He probably should've asked someone for help. Jett seems like the type of guy who know how to handle situations like this. Mina was smart too, she would probably know how to deal with Fumika. But Donny had to do this. There was a feeling, a sort of aura from Fumika that Donny was familiar with. He didn't know how to put it into words but he needed to do something about it. So here he was.

”Do you need a partner?”

Kasuke Mina

Mina put her apron on, and rolled her sleeves up as he talk, before taking the bands out of her pigtails and letting her hair fall loose for a precious few seconds, before setting it up in a bun. She then washed and dried her hands very thoroughly. That all done, she was ready to begin, she thought. Right? Yes. Yes, they were starting now. Jett was talking about the instructions again, though he was being a little vague, and she knew it was just to prompt her to ask questions. She sighed.

"Put the two cups of rice in what?" She asked as she measured out and filled two cups full of rice. "The sieve? The bowl?" She started getting the sieve ready anyway. That was her educated guess of what to use, and if by some chance she was wrong, he'd surely correct her once he saw her about to use it. She could have guessed upon guessed at this class, making from and learning mistakes, but Jett did already know how to cook, and for all his annoying little games, he was genuinely useful!

Dulga Tarata

Turned out Dulga was right about the electroshock grenade. She didn't seem to care much, but when Arsenal showed everyone what an EMP grenade was it did prove her theory that the rest test wasn't trying to figure out what the bomb was, but assessing it's threat. More students arrived as well, Reina and someone else Dulga didn't know. It didn't really interest her very much but something seemed off about the new guy. Dulga wasn't sure what it was but she put that thought aside as Arsenal explained things from the syllabus. Shortly after he lead everyone out of the class and to the gymnasium. Dulga thought they were just going to see some demonstrations. But once she got to the gymnasium, her eyes widen and she was even grinning underneath her mask. "That's... A lot of guns." The armory was chalk full of firearms and gadgets of all types. She had thought the use of weapons wasn't something heroes would do, but she was obviously wrong. This place was packed to the brim with more weapons than Dulga could identify.

Dulga had to calm herself down and remember that she isn't here to peruse weapons. She's here to train and hone her abilities as a hero. First, she needed to get ammo for herself. She was worried that there wouldn't be any safe way for Dulga to use her rifle due to it's live ammunition, but it wasn't long before she found a list of ammo she could use for her gun. Narrowing down the list to a specific caliber, she was surprised to see how many gadget type of bullets were available. There was rubber head bullets, trackers, pitted, EMP, and many more. Dulga didn't even know such things could be made. Dulga decided to request some rubber bullets and some called "Flare" bullets. Apparently when shot they release a very bright light meant to track fleeing villains. She supposed it was more simplistic than a tracker bullet which needed a specific device to trace the signal.

Heading over to the firing range Dulga was slightly disappointed at how bare everything looked. Maybe it was just because she was more used to shooting while sitting in a tree, or laying flat in the dirt, but Dulga had hoped for a more varied shooting range. However there was a console nearby where Dulga could set up conditions for her targets. She chose "Heavy Cover", "Urban", and for the amount of targets she chose "High". She also selected an option to have civilian targets, just to keep Dulga's trigger finger in check. It'll be too easy if she just shoots everything that popped out at her. Once the settings were made Dulga finally opened up her box. She scanned both her thumb prints, which opened up a twelve digit combination lock. Dulga had to take a moment to remember what it was because it was the combination of both her parent's birthdays, but in a complex order. Once she figured that out all that was left was a key. But it was no normal key; it was a strange, small blade her father made specifically to unlock the case. After all, this weapon case was made by Dulga's father, for her mother.

After the box opening ritual Dulga finally took out what she had kept hidden; a Dragunov SVD with a 1p59 scope to allow some level of vision in low-light or dark conditions, synthetic parts for tighter weight without the cost of durability, and a flash suppressor to reduce the glare so Dulga doesn't get dizzy if she keeps shooting her gun. With the secondary benefit of making it harder for more perspective enemies from actually seeing where her shots came from. But that was not all. There was another gun that Dulga was given on her 16th's birthday, just a few months before her mother's death. Dulga had this gun when she and her mother went out hunting, and had been trying to get a hang of it. She made a mental note to talk to Arsenal to recommend her type of rifle: The MTS-255, a revolver shotgun. Unlike her mother's guns, Dulga's rifle had only the standard parts and minimal personalization. Despite having it for half a year now, it still felt brand new. But now Dulga was going to use it for the first time since that fateful day.

Loading up her guns with the new ammo, the Dragunov with the rubber bullets and the MTS with the flare, Dulga took position as the countdown started. Thanks to her arms Dulga was able to use both rifles at once, and she's quite skilled in using them in such a fashion. She'd mainly rely on her Dragunov to pick off long-range targets but she'd have her peripherals open to shoot down any target from medium to short range. Her remaining pair of hands had reloading duty. Finally Dulga slipped on her headphones. They'd help suppress the noise of her guns, as well as sync to her phone so she could listen to some music while she does some target practice. When the countdown reached zero obstacles sprung up from the ground and ceiling, emulating a urban environment. Solid barriers meant to be walls, thinner but metal barriers representing cars, various poles and fences, and whatever else would be in a dense urban setting. The targets that came up were cut outs of people, some that looked like regular pedestrians and others that looked like villains. Whenever Dulga shot one the target would light up a certain color; yellow meant injured, green was incapacitated, red was dead.

After the obstacles came up the target zone was filled with civilian targets so Dulga had to hold her fire, looking for the villains hidden among the crowd. She saw one who's picture depicted a sword, so he was an enemy. Dulga shot him with a rubber bullet from the Dragunov, but on instict she aimed for his head. The bullet went into his eye and "killed" him. Two more enemies showed up, large ones that couldn't hdie behind cover. She shot each of them once in the chest with the rubber bullets but that only managed to injury them. She had to shoot them a few more times, this time aiming closer to the neck, before they flashed green and was put away. Another villain showed up but this time he was purposely hiding most of his body behind one of the civilian targets, making it hard for Dulga to get a shot on him that wasn't going to be a headshot. She had to wait carefully before firing two bullets into the target's shoulder which made him glow green. Many targets like this popped up and were either gunned down or escaped Dulga before she could get to them. But in the end Dulga managed to get 67 out of the 75 villain targets, and no civilian casualties.

"I could do better. I will do better."

Kamina did sit up while giving Arsenal a funny look. He didn't appreciate being made to sit straight, but he did it anyways. It seemed Kenichi was close, but that it was actually an electroshock grenade. He wondered what an EMP grenade looked like then, or if different manufacturers would make the same thing look different. He pretty much decided to entirely avoid anything that was thrown at him. Two more students showed up late, but it was the first day of class and this place was pretty big. He wondered if they were just flirting in the halls though. They were both pretty good looking. It was only the first day of class and they were already playing hooky in the halls. I guess the first day would be the only day you could claim to be lost in the hall. He wondered what excuses they would come up with in the future if they came in late together.

They went through a few basics in the syllabus and some rules for the class before moving onto the gymnasium. He wandered around a bit looking at all of the different gadgets and such. It was almost overwhelming seeing everything. There were so many different things. He passed over the weight room pretty quickly. He could work out another time. He came to the sparring rooms and saw lines of melee weapons. He actually found a weapon that sort of looked like a shinai. The section at the end looked odd though. He slid the switch on the haft to see it glow. He poked it and was surprised as the stick nearly flew out of his hand. It spun around before he gained control of it. Evidently, it had some sort of repulsive force to magnify strikes. He thought it was pretty cool, but he was already good with sticks thanks to years of kendo practice. He noticed Akasha practicing with a robot in a sparring room. It was sort of funny seeing the rubber bullets bounce off the glass in front of him. Her fight was good, but nothing really impressive.

He moved on to the gun range where he saw the girl with six arms starting to prepare for practice. Shooting was something he had never done before. With enhanced perception, he should be able to gain an advantage with it. Maybe, if he practiced he could be a good shooter too. He stopped to watch her through a window to the range. It was more just out of curiosity on what good shooting might look like. It was a little confusing when the targets popped, but she didn't shoot anything. It took him a moment to realize those were civilians and that she was supposed to find the villains and take them down. Her performance became more and more amazing as he saw how little the villains showed themselves. A lot of them were almost completely covered. How were you supposed to shoot anything when it was covered? He was amazed that she still did it. Even when the target areas were tiny, she still hit almost every target. The fact she did it while holding two large guns was even cooler. Her arms just moved so fluidly while operating with mechanic precision. He caught his jaw hanging open as he watched.

Kamina moved on to the armory after seeing her performance. Looking at all of the weapons seemed rather overwhelming, especially when he knew almost nothing about it. It seemed like this was where he would learn the most. He went to find the teacher. "Uhh, Arsenal, could you tell me a few things about guns? I'd like to practice with a pistol at the range."

Reina Mori

”Just thank me by being my friend ok?”

Reina stopped for a moment, eyes widening subtly as she glanced to Takeshi after he spoke. She nodded softly, and rather unintentionally solemnly. She didn’t just want to be a friend, she wanted to be a good one. If she didn’t fix herself at least enough for others to view her as such, she’d just lose them all. She already liked everyone she had met in this school. She couldn’t imagine how much she’d like them a month from now and beyond... and she couldn’t imagine how much it’d hurt to cause them to turn on her because she couldn’t keep herself from being an awful person.

The girl gripped the fabric of her skirt tightly as her worst memories invaded her thoughts again.

Reina quietly walked in after the teacher allowed their tardiness to slide, almost to her disappointment. She didn’t deserve to be let off like that... but if she were to be punished, then Takeshi would be as well, so it was for the best.

She entered the class, blushing lightly upon being loudly called out to by Mamoru. She gave a small wave and smile to the girl, glad that she was in the class as well.

Acion came up to them, and Reina bowed lightly in response to his greeting. “As... as Yashiro-san said, we got a bit lost...” She gave a small, shameful smile. “... I also... dropped some of my things. Yashiro-san helped me gather them, so it... it was mostly my fault he’s late too.”

Arsenal directed the class to the gym. Reina followed her peers into the armory, feeling more than a little out of place. Guns were... kind of scary. She didn’t have to use one, did she? It seemed terribly unheroic, and probably a little more lethal than was allowed... and they just made her sort of nervous. She wasn’t interested in holding one.

Which meant looking for... anything else. She walked gingerly around the room, being very] mindful of her quirk. Accidentally knocking some of these things to the ground felt extra dangerous. The girl noticed Mamoru taking extendable tonfas. Maybe something like that? They seemed more Reina’s speed. She glanced around uncertainly, not sold on tonfas. Really, she wasn’t sold on anything yet. She had never used any sort of weapon before in her life... except maybe for that truck’s door, if that inspired bit of improvisation counted.

The girl frowned, deep in thought as she continued to slowly meander, not nearly confident enough to just grab something and give it a try.

Yukari Yozakura

JoJo

After a few more students arrived Arsenal started talking about safety procedures in the syllabus. Yukari listened intently and made many mental notes she’ll have to try and remember. But they were fairly basic, common sense stuff. She just hoped that they had an audio version of a disclaimer so Yukari could use them. Eventually, Arsenal asked everyone to follow him to the gymnasium. Slowly getting out of her seat Yukari tried to shuffle along with everyone. She was trying to be more careful this time so she didn’t end up tripping over anything, however, because she was going so slow the rest of the class was going ahead of her. Yukari didn’t want to be a burden and asked them to slow down for her though, so she tried to pick up the pace as she tapped her cane against the floor ahead of her. (Done)

Class was in session and as expected JoJo was dead to the world sleep only having enough cognitive functions to barely make out what Arsenal was saying, about what was apparently an EMP grenade and the rest of the syllabus which was all basic things one would expect a teacher to have included the one about using the equipment. Though all this information was being deposited into her memory it was all sure to be forgotten in a matter of minutes so she made a mental note for herself to have someone just spell it out to her or just read the blasted thing herself on her own time. JoJo shuffled around in her seat being that it wasn’t the most comfortable thing on the planet nudging her awake just in time for the teacher to instruct everyone to follow him to the gym, sucking on her teeth the girl got out from her chair and stretched out; just as she was about to join the herd she happened to notice the blind girl that sat on her lap and right after felt her up struggling to keep up. Without much hesitation, JoJo walked calmly over to her and grabbed her hand and began to walk with her.

“Let me lead you there,” she said with a yawn.

”Ah! O-okay?”

Yukari was surprised when someone grabbed her hand and lead her towards the gymnasium. From the sound of the voice, it was the same girl she had accidentally landed on. This only made Yukari more embarrassed than before; first she accidentally fell and groped her, now she needed the same girl to get her to class! Yukari doesn’t even know her name, and was a bit too awkward to try and ask. She just followed the girl, keeping up with her pace. ”Um… Thank you. I don’t think I know your name. I’m Yukari Yozakura. My I have your name?”

Joann chuckled at her shyness, she’d prefer it if people were clear and direct when they spoke to avoid confusion, but on Yukari it was kind of…. Cute. JoJo walked with her around the hallway getting in front of the other students, another strange thing was to see her trying to get somewhere; the fact she was guiding someone somewhere put a little more fire in her step and actually getting some hands on training the first day gave her some extra energy off principle. JoJo was afraid that in her own haste she would loose or injure Yukari and that would make more trouble for her so to add extra stability she slowed down and intertwined her fingers with the girls

”Joann Joruto, but that's too long and a little bit of a hassle to say so just call me JoJo.”

“We’re almost there actually.” She said using her free hand and with a little more force than what was necessary opened the door to the point it flung completely open hitting the wall with a loud thud. “Oh bother.”

Blushing harder as the girl, Jojo, wrapped her fingers around Yukari’s own, she flinched when she heard the loud bang of the door hitting the wall. ”Whoa! Jojo, you should be more careful.” Yukari said with more confidence in her voice. While she was thankful for Jojo’s help and understanding, that was still no excuse for bad behavior. Being late or skipping class, forcefully throwing open doors, that sort of thing was just going to cause more trouble than it was worth. Someone could’ve gotten hurt, even though no one did this time.

Inside the gym Yukari could hear everyone milling about, many of them impressed with what they saw. Yukari of course couldn’t see anything, though she really did want to use some gadgets. Slipping out of Jojo’s grasp Yukari tried to find something she could use, or at least hear about. She had to guess what second she was at from the chatter around her, and hopefully, she’d find something useful. Or at least something she doesn’t need to read about.

JoJo looked down at her hand that was pulsating with extra electricity probably generated from all the extra movement which in turn lead to a massive increase in her basic strength. The only way to discharge the electrical energy was to use, which she was in the correct place to do just that while in one was perfect, however, in another way, it was troublesome being that now she was at five percent of her maximum, more than enough to break just about everything that isn’t reinforced.

“Sorry, quirk makes it difficult to be too gentle, it’s a bother I know. ” she admitted letting Yukari slip from her hand so that she could find somewhere to get rid of her added energy, but didn’t get far before noticing the girl was having a hard time walking around the crowd and being blind it must have made it exceptionally hard for her to learn about stuff. “Oh bother.” She thought returning the pink haired girl grabbing the headphones and wrapping them around her head and pressing play for the description to start. “This should help, and I’ll try to be… Gentle.” She reassured the girl, “I’m going to step off for a second to discharge some power.”

Yashiro, Takeshi

Takeshi bowed his head to the teacher as he let them off without a warning. They actually made it to class just in time as everyone was about to head to the training room. A pink haired girl waved at Riena, and at him possibly. So he just nodded his head towards her. It was then the one called Acion came up to him and introduced himself after asking Riena a redundant question that he had answered with the teacher.

He eyed Acion as Riena spoke, Though he wasn’t really looking too closely, his quirk was obviously flying, and his feathers looked like steel. After he introduced himself, Takeshi only gave a slight nod. “Yashiro Takeshi. I am in A-3.” He found it odd he would mention he and Riena were in the same class, he gathered as much that he spoke to her as a friend. He didn’t say much more as the class moved onto the armory. When they entered, Takeshi immediately saw the swords. He moved over and looked them over, picking one up to immediately put it back down as the balance was so horrible it pained him. He was very lucky on his next choice as it had the same weight and balance of his sword in his dorm. He didn’t think he would have needed it today, guessing it would have been more of a vocal class for the first day. Held it close to the handguard, as he glanced at the on his way to an open area to test the sword. Pausing for a moment, he saw a 9mm similar to the one he left at home when he ran away. Another time perhaps.

He walked by Riena who seemed to just look around. He wondered what kinda weapon she would want to try out. He walked by Acion with a nodd and when he got to an open enough area, he sighed, lowering the sword to his hip where it would normally be if he wore it. Clearing his thoughts as he rolled his neck. Then like lightning he unsheathed his sword and started into some forms in a fast pace. Each movement precise and highly controlled as the were no flaws in his stance. As it should. He had been training with a sword since he could lift one. Such was the way of the Yashiro family. Precision, no mistakes.

For a bit he did this before suddenly slipping his foot under the sheath he dropped, popping up with a flick of his foot and just as fast as he started, he quickly ended sheathing his blade effortlessly after catching the sheath in the air with his free hand.

Looking at the sword while in its sheath, he admired the quality of it as being a sword used in practice before walking back to the group. Looking at Riena, Do did you find anything you like yet? His breath still slow and collected as if he didn't just do any forms. He glanced at Acion, Do you train with any weapons? He asked, as Acion was still next to them, and it would be rude to ignore him.

Jett Haven

Jett smiled at the fact that he had to specify what to put it in. It was his fault for not saying in the first place. He reach over and grabbed a pot and placed it in the small sink at their station and started to fill it with water smiling. ”A Sieve is a good pick, and can do the job. But it doesn’t really get all the starch off the rice as it’s really hard to get at every piece. He took the liberty to scoop the rice and place it in the pot. Then reaching in with one hand he looked back at her. ”A trick my mother told me was to put it in a pot, fill it with water and mix it around with your hands.” He moved it around a bit, the water turning milky. ”that’s the starch coming off of it. Most of that would still be on if we just used the sieve.” Once it was almost pure white he placed his hand as a stopper and tipped it, allowing the water to get out while the rice stayed.

He looked to her,as he started to fill once more. ”If you rinse and drain two more times it will be slightly milky but that is good enough. Once you’re done with that, put exactly four cups of water in with it and place it on the heating element while turning it onto high. I should be back by then with the other ingredients we can add to it. “ He wiped his hands on the towel he had placed on his belt.

As he moved to the pantry/fridge he frowned as he saw Fumika working with herself? He glanced around and noticed everyone was partnered up, but her. A twinge of guilt shot through him as he realized he was so focused on Kasuke, and Haruka before that, that he totally ignored her as she came in, even donny as well. Well he didn’t see him walk in.

He wanted to go talk to her, but Donny and Roy were already there, He would just have to make a point to go to her later when he had a chance. Looking back to the pantry he gathered the other ingredients, as well as a few extras, placing them all on a tray that was there for this purpose, he carried it back like a waiter to Kasuke. He placed the items all out on their station. It wasn’t much, just what the teacher said, plus some mackerel, soy sauce, mayo, and a few pickled plums. As well as some salt.

”Got a couple of different ones we can try out. Simple though so don’t worry.”

Roy Kusayanagi

Roy chuckled to himself as Mina shot daggers with her eyes at him, he couldn't take her seriously when she was so red. Kaida had hit Roy lightly on the arm after teasing her, Roy just smiled back at her as Connoisseur came over and reprimanded the group. "Sorry Sir" Roy said rubbing his next as he watched Kaida slump into her chair, The boy was honestly having fun at school after being out of it for so long. His return was pretty smooth and easy, the culinary teacher then read over the syllabus and proposes they make Onigiri. Roy's face lit up as he knew exactly what kind of Onigiri he was going to make. Connoisseur said for the students to get into groups of two in which with Jett immediately partnered up with Mina.

Kaida turned to him asking him to help her with cooking the onigiri, Roy just smiled. “Yeah, I am familiar with Onigiri so it's no problem, though I wanted to add a little bit to the recipe if that is okay with you.” He noticed that Kaida was frowning again, Roy just sighed. “If it puts you in a better mood... I can lend you some heat whenever you’d like” He said scratching his chin and looking away a light blush on his cheeks. As he looked off he noticed Fumika was by herself and using one of her own constructs to talk to herself, though she didn’t look like she was in the best of mood. Roy’s blush soon faded as he watched, getting lost in his own memories of doing the same thing, pulling a facade just to make himself not feel like he was alone, he gripped his hands before standing up abruptly shoving his chair to the side.

“I’ll be back with another group member, Kaida can you grab a station, well as ask the teacher for a 6oz beef sirloin , olive oil, rice wine, garlic, and soy sauce please.” He said as he left off to go talk with the girl but seeing donny over there his full head of steam slowed down a bit.

“Is everything alright? Do you need a group to cook with? Or did Donny already ask you” He said with a warm smile as he leaned against the table, maybe Donny came over to talk to Fumika for the same reason. Maybe Donny and Roy had a little something in common.

Arsenal

As the students came into the gymnasium Arsenal couldn't contain his excitement, "This is the Komei gym, or what we like to call here the 'Lab'. This is where you can get your serious training after and before school as I am usually found in this place supervising it, now if you want to use a gun or any projectile weapon of the sort come with me. If its a melee weapon you are fancying then go ahead and pick one out." Arsenal said with a smile, though a couple of students had gotten ahead of themselves and already begin getting a little sweat in, he began walking over to the armory where there were they stocked the gear at hand.

Yukari Yozakura

Thanks to Jojo, Yukari was able to get some headphones to listen to the machines telling her about different equipment. Before Yukari could properly thank her Jojo was gone. ”Ooooh! I really need to do something for her one day.” Yukari pouted as she kept listening to the audio explaining different types of gadgets to her. Yukari wasn’t really interested in weapons like guns or such, considering that she’s never handled anything more deadly than a ten pound weight. She tried her hand at using a whip but she could never really get it to crack like the ringmaster could. There were however other gadgets that were much more up Yukari’s alley. It was a capturing type weapon that used carbon fibers and a special metal alloy to wrap around and ensnare targets. Yukari was actually quite skilled at that because she often used ribbons to do similar things during her performances, though usually it was lighter things like hoops and hats.

Another gadget was actually some hoops. They were a special type of handcuff worn like a bangle but could be snapped across the enemy to bind down on them. She could use it to stick someone’s limb to their body, cuff their hands or feet together, or even stick them to a pole for police pick up. They can be thrown at villains as well as just used to smack against them. Once bound the only way to loosen them is with a special magnetic key that most police forces have. Of course for someone like Yukari, she could easily slip out of them. Other villains might not be able to do the same. "This'll be perfect to buff the bad guys after I beat them."

The last weapon Yukari heard about was actually pretty simple: weighted gauntlets. They were kevlar gloves with metal dust packed under vital parts of the gauntlet, not only protecting the arms but also adding more weight to punches. They were also designed to be able to protect the hands from bladed or spiked weapons which would be very useful to Yukari. "Since I'm not very good with blades, I could use some more protection. I hope they're not too heavy or restrictive though." Yukari wasn’t a very trained fighter, and her “punches” looked like flailing, but if she could add more weight to her strikes then that flailing looks a lot less silly and literally become flails. If they could grow or expand with Yukari’s arms whenever she stretches out, they could be even more useful to her.

Yukari decided to give each of these things a try. The capturing weapons were longer than she thought they’d be and the hoops felt heavy, but at least the gauntlets were comfortable. Heading over to the training room Yukari plugged her headphones into the machine and set a simple practice session with some robots. She wanted to get a hang of the gadgets first before she tried to use them in live combat. "Let's start off simple but challenging. One robot target, but he doesn't fight back. And we'll use an obstacle course too! We'll go with a disaster zone setting. That should be fun!" Once she set up the conditions the sparring room changed into an obstacle course. It looked difficult to maneuver through but for someone like Yukari it was child's play. Unlike back at the classroom Yukari’s senses were in full force this time so she wasn’t about to trip over any bags or debris.

Once Yukari arrived in the training room a single robot target popped up. Yukari needed to practice her equipment against him. Getting to him would be more of a challenge since Yukari set the area to have a lot of obstacles, including tall pillars, holes in the ground, and crumbling structures. But she didn’t miss a step when she ran in and traversed the obstacle course. Her first test was getting up to a pillar twenty feet tall. There was only one ledge five feet high but that was more than enough for Yukari to leap off of it, onto the wall, and then scramble onto the pillar. Next was a series of poles sticking out of the ground and walls that Yukari needed to traverse to get to the otherside or otherwise she’d fall twenty feet to the ground and waste time. She didn’t have any problems with this one either: Jumping towards the first pole sticking out of the ground, Yukari used the momentum of her jump to swing herself to a pole sticking out of the wall and continued jumping from pole to pole until she reached the other side.

The next obstacle was a tricky one. It was a huge gap with a few crumbling pillars Yukari could jump onto. If she wasn’t careful however the pillars would fall and take her with them. And the way some of the pillars fell could also topple over other pillars Yukari tried jumping to. She almost failed here. The first two jumps she had no problems with, but the third jump she put too much force into her landing and caused the pillar to tip prematurely. "Oh no!" When she tried to jump to the next pillar she almost missed and had to hang on by a hand which also caused the pillar to tip over early. Yukari took out the metal hoops and bound the two pillars together to give her just enough time to reach the top of her pillar. She could sense a solid object nearby so Yukari tossed the capturing weapon at it. Just like with her ribbons Yukari whipped the cloth like a dart, and with a flick of her wrist she managed to tie the cloth around the object, saving Yukari from a tall fall.

And now for the final challenge. Yukari’s target was the lone robot sitting deep in a pit and from her position it’d be at least a forty foot drop. Thinking about how to subdue the robot villain, Yukari had an idea. Looping the capturing cloth though one of the hoops but not closing the hoop just yet, Yukari then tied another hoop onto the end of the capturing cloth. The end result was a makeshift lasso which Yukari used to bind the robot by throwing it at him, locking his arm to his body and ensnaring him. Then Yukari took the other hoop and bound it to the pillar she was standing on, leaving just enough room for the capturing cloth to be able to move through freely. After that Yukari just jumped off the pillar while using her weight to pull the cloth and the robot to the top of the pillar, effectively capturing him.

”Twenty seconds! That’s not bad I think. But I could use more practice. Maybe I should try something a bit harder.” Yukari said as she went back to the console to reset the training area and try something tougher. Maybe this time she’ll have the robot fight back or try to escape, perhaps even make it harder for Yukari to chase after him. After all most villains aren’t going to be standing around for Yukari to just nab, Or perhaps instead of robots, she should try to challenge one of the other students? Robots didn’t have quirks and thus had a limited way to react to things, but if she fought someone else they might do something Yukari doesn’t expect. ”Hmm but who would I challenge? I don’t really know anyone here who might want to spar with me..."

Mina watched him use a pot to stir the rice around and get the starch off, before draining the pot. Her eyes hadn't left the pot the whole time, so she hadn't noticed him glancing back at her. Once he'd filled it, she heeded his instructions and took over stirring the rice by hand. It was a strange scenario to her; getting her hands dirty preparing food. She had assumed it was all done with utensils. Now she understood a little more why her cooks were proud of even the most basic of dishes they make. Once the water was white once again, she drained it off and filled it one last time, getting to work once again on stirring the rice. She was too preoccupied with cooking to notice the rest of the class, so didn't see that Fumika was alone, and filtered out the conversations anyone else in the class but Jett was having.

She drained the rice for the final time with the stopper, then added four cups of clean water, and put the pot onto the heating element, turning the heat high as she'd been instructed. As if on cue, Jett arrived with a tray of ingredients at that moment. It looked like an interesting selection. Mina was familiar with everything there, but was trying to imagine how they would be applied to rice except on a plate, and was failing.

"If this is simple, it's a very good job we're not doing something harder," she muttered curtly. Her blush had gone, at least. She looked more like her usual self. "I'm very glad I took this class. I would be woefully unprepared for adult life without knowing how to cook for myself."

Kaida Baeumont

Kaida smiled that he knew how to cook it. So much so that he was adding to it. He offered as well to give her something to warm her up. She only nodded only realizing that he seemed to catch her whenever she was frowning. She had to keep her emotions in more check apparently.

She watched as he walked over to another pretty blonde girl who had knocked over a bunch of stuff when she came in. Who made an apparent copy of herself. She smiled that Roy was kind enough go and ask if she wanted to Join them.

She in turned went to the teacher, asking for the items Roy told her to get. And moved over to the station next to Jett and Mina. She started organizing and then did up her long hair into a tight bun before washing her hands. She found herself an apron and put it on.

She was sort of watching Jett and Mina and noticed the girl was taking instructions from Jett. Who by all right looked like he knew what he was doing. She found it odd that he had a towel on his leg, The cook from home used to do that.

She watched as he showed her how to rise the rice and mimicked it herself. She never cleaned rice in France. This only made her fascinated by Jett. Not a lot people their age knew how to cook, at least that what her cook said when he was happy to teach her.

Jett Haven

Jett laughed silently as she muttered under her breath. He found it really cute. She then went on to say that she was glad she took this class as she would be woefully unprepared for life as an adult.

As he opened the can of Mackrel he looked to her “I'm glad you took it as well. If you continue to mutter little things like that, it's like a dinner and show for me.” He teased.

“Alright, now we put the rice on the eating element and put it to high. While that is cooking we are going to mix the mackrel and a tablespoon of mayo. As well as take the seeds out of the pickled plums.”
