Appearance Chestnut tresses of straight hair fall down to her chest, framing the delicate curve of her face. Her skin smooth, a touch darker than ivory and complimenting a pair of chocolate brown almond shaped eyes that tend to give a doe like expression. She is petite stature, her body lean with soft curves and slender limbs with slightly toned muscle. She tends to do yoga/tai chi and takes runs in the mornings to keep in shape while taking some time in the outdoors.
Hana wouldn’t really call herself fashionable but she does at least try to match when she does an outfit. Most of her clothes consist of flowy shirts, comfortable T-shirts, and sweaters. She is usually in jeans or leggings and tends to only wear skirts or dress on special occasions. Most of the time she will have multiple rings on and other jewelry such as necklaces or earrings since she has multiple piercings to choose from. She just prefers to be comfortable and practical instead of trying to dress to impress. She would rather someone like her for her anyways and not how she looks. Mostly she is just comfortable in her own skin. 5’3”
Personality Hana is a kind and soft spoken girl that could be described as shy when you first meet her as she has trouble dealing with new people and can get awkward when trying to make friends. It almost makes her seem like she is too quiet and a bit of an introvert but once you get through her shell though, you will never meet a more caring and loyal friend. She will be more open, joking, showing her carefree nature, optimism and will actually be rather chatty which will change any perception you had when you first met. She is fiercely protective over those she cares for and has a rather nasty temper if a person is unlucky enough to draw it out. She can also be described as stubborn and too curious for her own good at times. She tries to see the good in everyone and probably gives people way more chances than they deserve.
Biography
Hana has grown up at The House with the elders of the coven for practically all of her life, just like her mother when she was a child. Of course, this wasn’t by choice for either of them but by unfortunate circumstances....
Her grandparents had gotten into a car crash leaving their daughter, Shianne, all alone with only the coven to care for her. She grew into a fine young lady but the constant watchful eyes most of her life had her longing for a bit more freedom so she moved further away from the coven when she was old enough to make the decision, coming back for a certain period every year to reconnect with the wellspring and made sure to tell humans that it was an annual camping trip she took every year. She got a job as a flight attendant, wanting to see the world and spread her own wings a bit in a sense. It was at an airport in Korean that she met the man she would one day marry, Song Kang. They had both been stuck at the airport with two different delayed flights and they talked for hours, building the start of a friendship.
They became great pen pals, chatting constantly in one way or another. They did trips to see each other in person and naturally they started dating after a year. After a few years, they decided to take the next step, get married and start the rest of their lives together but first she had to sit him down and tell him the truth about herself. She wanted no secrets between them. He had been extremely skeptical about it but ultimately, he said that he didn’t care what she was because he knew who she was. The coven was obviously extremely against it, begging her to reconsider the choice she was making, explaining all the reasons her chosen life would be a hardship if she continued on this path. Of course, Shianne ignored them and married Kang anyway.
Their lives were peaceful but the struggles she had been warned about did plague her. It was harder for Kang to understand the other parts of her life with such basic knowledge and grasp on what information he had. They tried to start their family with failure after failure. It seemed to her like she was being punished for choosing love over sticking to where everyone expected her to be. It seemed like when she was close to giving up, that their luck turned for the better. They finally were able to conceive a child and no signs of struggle or problems were appearing this time. Once Hana was born, it felt like everything fell into place. They were just a normal family or as normal as normal can be with witches. They were happy but that all came crashing down, literally, and suddenly Kang found himself a single father and broken hearted. It only got worse from there and the elders had showed up at his doorstep only a few days later.
They discussed that it would be best for Hana to come live with them. Obviously, Kang had disagreed and stated that what his daughter needed was her father as well as what was comforting to her and always known. They pleaded for him to understand that there was no way he could correctly provide for her and that he should hand over custody to them but he still refused and told them to leave. The weeks passed and everything started to settle. Kang tried to adjust to his new life of taking care of a five year old all alone while still mourning for his deceased wife. One odd night, a loud crash startled both of the house’s occupants awake. Kang quickly told Hana to hide in her closet and not to come out until he came back for her. She heard the struggle, heard a scream, and reached to leave the closet to check on her dad but then she heard doors slamming open. She scooted farther into the corner of her closet, a dark figure entering her room and caused her to close her eyes.
She didn’t know how long she sat in that small closet, curled into a ball, and panicking over if her dad was okay. She barely registered when the cops opened her closet and found her. Hana had had a single moment of relief and happiness, thinking her dad had come for her but was terrified when it was a stranger. Everything else seemed like a blur as they carried her out, her eyes desperately searching for her dad. That’s when she noticed the blood, the mess, and a body bag being rolled out. She didn’t know what it was at the time but she knew blood was never good. They turned her over to the coven elders, the last next of kin noted for herself and she struggled to adjust. The House was very different to how she lived before but they took care of her, taught her, and showed her the way to do things. She grew up fairly normal from there, going to school, making friends, working on her own projects when she could manage to hide away from prying eyes, and practicing her magic for the day that she can join the coven officially.
Notable Rumors There is a rumor that in her Freshman year of high school she threw water balloons full of paint at her enemies and when confronted by the principle, she threw yet another directly at his face. Obviously, this is not the case
Greatest Fear Claustrophobic She is terrified of enclosed spaces to the point that she will only be in a room that has two ways out, whether it be two doors or a door and window.
Magic Hana is impressively good at potions but it isn’t where her passions lie and thus, she has worked harder to excel at different arts. The biggest two being healing magic and water elemental magic which she has picked up almost naturally. She is sadly lacking in the other elements and is pretty laughably horribly at them. The only thing she could be worse at are charms. They just never turn out as she plans or they are too weak to be of much use. She has been trying to learn scrying (pendulum, mirror/water divination, seeking), it has been a hit and miss the few times she has tried.
Other • When she was younger, Hana saved a baby raven that she had found on the forest floor. She had spent a good amount of time trying to find the nest but to no avail so she took the poor raven home. She cared for it, setting alarms to feed it constantly, keeping it warm, and making sure to do her research. She released it back into the wild once it was big enough and could take flight but he kept returning. Now, he has the freedom but Hana still views him as her friend and even a pet or familiar of sorts. She has named him ‘Strath’and looks forward to when he appears before her when she is outside. • She keeps an elaborate garden in a secret spot of the woods that not only has produce but herbs and other plants to aid her in making potions. She finds it peaceful to weed and tend to her garden as she is a lover of the outdoors. • She is a fabulous painter and makes amazing pieces that reflect various landscapes. She does sketch and draw other things like people but she never usually paints them. • Has a jar of ‘gifts’ given to her by Strath. (pieces of string, buttons, bottle caps, etc.) • Has a nervous tick of playing with the ends of her hair

Sorry it took so long! Let me know if I need to edit anything or add more.
Work has been insane the last two weeks so I feel a little stressed and buried but I’m getting closer to being on top of everything once more. Other then that, I have been pretty good! Staying home, staying safe and all the jazz
