Mental Profile: Extremely paranoid, especially in the dark. She often hides it, which allows it to build up until she explodes.
Biography: She remembers a farm, her parents, and her two younger brothers. Mark seems very familiar to her, but she can't remember why.

Mental Profile: Suffering from heavy depression but he hides it well.
Biography: Mark was abandoned on the street as a baby, a poor but happy and kind couple found him in the rain, crying. They wanted to adopt him, but the police found out and put him into foster care. He grew up in the system, bouncing from foster to foster, before he had enough and ran away, hiding in New York City.
Mark got mixed up with the wrong crowd and did some pretty terrible things. Luckily, a man caught him singing in an alley and instantly recognized talent. The man, Drew Williams, took him in and turned him into a star, and he then went by the stage name "Jazz".
He met Christina at one of his concert, and they quickly fell in love. Mark proposed to her and she eagerly agreed. Unfortunately, he was found by his "ex-boss" and a couple "ex-co-workers", the ones he worked for all those years ago. They tried to kill him by slitting his throat, but somehow he survived. However, his vocal cords were destroyed and he could never speak again.
When the men found out he was still alive, they leaked his past to the press and killed Drew.
Thankfully Christina didn't leave him and accepted him as he was. Mark then decided to pursue a career in geology, which is what he is currently working in.

Personally, I like the stats. It gives me certain limits, helps me keep them in-power. The stats also gives me a sort of video game feel to it, especially when it comes to thirst, hunger, or oxygen.

Name: Kailey Evelyn Jayde, now known as Katelyn (Kate) Quicksilver.

Nicknames: "Little Snake", "Trickster", "Kid", "Silver Tongue", "The Secret Hero", and by most of the public, "Katie Quicksilver".

Species: Human

Age: 17, almost 18

Gender: Female

Appearance:
Her hair naturally that color, due to a genetic mutation.

Personality: Kailey was a confident young lady once, strong, fiery, and proud. But that all changed when her mother died and her father began abusing her. Before her escape she was rather quiet, secretive, and painfully timid. Now, while she is quiet for most of the time, she is sarcastic, teasing, and arrogant. She is a sly trickster, often pulling pranks and facing conflict with witty comebacks and a sharp tongue rather than fighting back. Kailey detests violence, even though she hides among a crowd of criminals now. Despite the unspoken rules "every man/woman for himself" and "kindness is weakness" she breaks them often, secretly helping those who need it, without breaking her guise or showing weakness.

Fears: Richard, her secret getting out, and snakes.

Abilities:
Fighting Style: If push comes to shove, and she can't escape, she fights mostly hand to hand combat, using whatever moves she picked up on the street. Strike is slowly refining her fighting skills.
Weapons: A 10" dagger, simple and sweet, yet very effective in a fight. The blade curves very slightly, and she enjoys learning to use it from Strike. She is also starting to learn how to use a hand gun.

History:
When Kailey was 8, her father, Shawn, died in battle. Her mother, Regina, spent a few months grieving before meeting a new man. They quickly fell in love and a year later he proposed and they married months after that. Richard, though he preferred going by Rick, was great. He loved her mother and Kailey, and was an excellent father. However, when she was 11 her mother got in a car crash with a drunk driver and died months after in the hospital.
Rick was devastated by Regina's death, and this showed in his career and parenting. His temper grew shorter as troubles at work began piling up. Eventually he was fired, and a week after that, Rick hit Kailey. After that, he took out all his anger on Kailey, and began coming home later and later. He began abusing her mentally and physically, effectively destroying the young girl. Kailey had enough and tried to run when she was 15, but somehow he found her and brought her back.Two years later, Richard almost killed Kailey, and she knew she had to escape.
She had only been on the run for a year before she was found by three men. They had been hired by Richard to bring Kailey back, dead or alive. One man saw the potential in Kailey, and he fought the other two men before fleeing with Kailey. This man's name was Strike.
Strike took her to his home, a community of thieves and criminals. He changed Kailey's name to Katelyn Quicksilver (though he mostly calls her Kid), and began teaching her the life style of a thief. She learned quickly, the hard way. In her first couple weeks, she got in a fight with a well known criminal. Needless to say, he beat her both physically, and her pride. After Strike nursing her back to health, Katelyn became tougher, colder, and more arrogant. She left a clear message to everyone, she was dangerous and cared only about herself.
After a few months, she accidentally challenged the leader of the community, Blade. While she didn't beat him in battle, she beat him in a battle of wits, barely. This earned her respect, and a grudge from Blade and his supporters. This is when Kate began seeing the community as it is, ruled cruelly by Blade, and she began helping people. Strike was furious when he discovered Kate's kindness, fearing for both her and himself. He refused to continue teaching her, and that resulted in Kate almost being captured by Richard again. Now Kate is training with Strike again, while secretly rebelling against Blade and avoiding both Richard and her secret, but someone will eventually find out. Kate just has to be ready to face it.

Hello! Welcome to my Character-A-Day!
This is where I'll be posting a character (or more) a day!
But first, I need to give credit to ImportantNobody. I asked for permission to do then and Nobody gave it! Go check out Nobody's Character-A-Day!
Everyday I'll post one character and the template of the character sheet I use. They will usually be human-ish (by this I mean not just an animal, like a dog) and they may be just human, alien, or both! Just depends on what inspiration I get.
For the characters I will usually be using either a description or a picture because I have little artistic talent. Any pictures I use will not be owned by me, and I'll put a link to anything I use that is not me in Credits.
Some forms will be advanced, others will not, depending on how much time I have.

I will add more details to this post as the days go along and I post more characters.

Oh and note the main reason is because I want to improve my character making/developing skills, which needs quite a bit of work. If you have any tips, constructive criticism, etc. please share it with me!
