~Queen Aurora Damascus Krishkov~ Aurora smirked and raised and eyebrow, her eyes jumping on Feon cleaning up the remains of Mahzun's horrid action. And this was her answer, to Mahzun's comment about compassion. The Queen was an intelligent being. His invocation of emotion wouldn't work on her, and she was rather impressed that Mahzun underestimated her that much. It looked like Mahzun's bloodthirst was overcoming his logic, a sad thing to see. It was rather obvious he was lying, no one in this whole damn castle would buy what he was selling.
"It would be a delight, seeing you unfold some compassionate feelings for pretty much anything, Mahzun. But, as you know, one shall learn to stand before he runs. Therefore, if your will to do good deeds is as strong as you are saying, you shall start right where you are, here, in the castle. It wouldn't be a problem for you, from now on, to feed only on elderly and sick people, and do it in such a way so that they won't hurt; so as to put them out of their pain. Our food will thrive, and so will we." Aurora quoted his words, her head silghtly tilted to the left, with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"No good deed goes unpunished, my dear brother. The royal family will be waiting for thyself to start rebuilding what you have ruined. I allow you this opportunity, to show us all that you are capable of something better than.." Her eyes travelling to Feon leaving with the bloody bucket.
"..this." The Queen then turned her words to George, her eyes still hanging on Mahzun.
"It is sad to see you enjoying the same monstrous things that Mahzun enjoys. Remember my fellow, that we have shown Mahzun such tolerance, for he carries royal blood within him. And even so, as he said, he is repugnant to, almost, everyone. Aurora then looked at George.
"You are a mercenary, by choice, George. All you really need in order to kill is just a bit of spare change. On the other hand, one would say your life is worthless enough to be staked for that spare change. Mercenaries run in battlefields all over the world just to earn small pay. They kill, and get killed for it. And it's not like anyone told you to. You choose to. On the battlefield, dirt-cheap rewards, and some blood in your case, is more important than your own life or anyone else's. One could say, your kin is the real scum of the Earth." She spoke steadily, with small pauses between the words.
"The royal family treats you as something above that. Show some gratitude, and remember your position, assasin." The Queen turned to the door and started slowly walking away, as graceful and elegant, as always.
"Walk with me, brother." A slight smile was drawn upon her face, it was funny, how people would underestimate her. This war was easy, so far. Aurora wasn't ignorant, she knew Mahzun was hiding things. She knew how he could turn things upside down and cause tremendous problems, if allowed the right. An immortal commiting such cruelsome acts inside the royal castle, would be a beast on the loose in his own land.
