Niklaus sighed and hugged Adam resting his head on the top of his. "Addie, you mean well and you're part of this relationship too. I promise I won't make you hide forever. I just have to change my father's mind on one thing whether it be me and you or letting one of my sisters rule," he said, wishing they would give Dashiell another chance. Niklaus was not the rightful heir and it bothered him he had that burden but he wasn't dumping that burden on Caspen. @1Hawkeyes

@EmzyOfNeverland

Alice stopped playing to turn around and acknowledge Caspen who was leaning against the door frame. He was the only sibling she actually likes, the rest of them were either non-existent to her or not on the best terms. She smiles when he mentions club music, there was quite a few night clubs and bars around, that's where Alice usually seduces people of course. "I swear all the music that isn't coming from the castle is awful." She joked as she pulls the lid over the keys and closes the piano. "When is dinner by the way? I had to kick my latest lover out just so I wouldn't be late."

~Queen Aurora Damascus Krishkov~

Aurora smirked and raised and eyebrow, her eyes jumping on Feon cleaning up the remains of Mahzun's horrid action. And this was her answer, to Mahzun's comment about compassion. The Queen was an intelligent being. His invocation of emotion wouldn't work on her, and she was rather impressed that Mahzun underestimated her that much. It looked like Mahzun's bloodthirst was overcoming his logic, a sad thing to see. It was rather obvious he was lying, no one in this whole damn castle would buy what he was selling.

"It would be a delight, seeing you unfold some compassionate feelings for pretty much anything, Mahzun. But, as you know, one shall learn to stand before he runs. Therefore, if your will to do good deeds is as strong as you are saying, you shall start right where you are, here, in the castle. It wouldn't be a problem for you, from now on, to feed only on elderly and sick people, and do it in such a way so that they won't hurt; so as to put them out of their pain. Our food will thrive, and so will we." Aurora quoted his words, her head silghtly tilted to the left, with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"No good deed goes unpunished, my dear brother. The royal family will be waiting for thyself to start rebuilding what you have ruined. I allow you this opportunity, to show us all that you are capable of something better than.." Her eyes travelling to Feon leaving with the bloody bucket. "..this."
The Queen then turned her words to George, her eyes still hanging on Mahzun. "It is sad to see you enjoying the same monstrous things that Mahzun enjoys. Remember my fellow, that we have shown Mahzun such tolerance, for he carries royal blood within him. And even so, as he said, he is repugnant to, almost, everyone. Aurora then looked at George. "You are a mercenary, by choice, George. All you really need in order to kill is just a bit of spare change. On the other hand, one would say your life is worthless enough to be staked for that spare change. Mercenaries run in battlefields all over the world just to earn small pay. They kill, and get killed for it. And it's not like anyone told you to. You choose to. On the battlefield, dirt-cheap rewards, and some blood in your case, is more important than your own life or anyone else's. One could say, your kin is the real scum of the Earth." She spoke steadily, with small pauses between the words. "The royal family treats you as something above that. Show some gratitude, and remember your position, assasin."

The Queen turned to the door and started slowly walking away, as graceful and elegant, as always. "Walk with me, brother." A slight smile was drawn upon her face, it was funny, how people would underestimate her. This war was easy, so far. Aurora wasn't ignorant, she knew Mahzun was hiding things. She knew how he could turn things upside down and cause tremendous problems, if allowed the right. An immortal commiting such cruelsome acts inside the royal castle, would be a beast on the loose in his own land.

"It'll just take more time," Adam said, attempting to further reassure himself and Nik. He wished they could be public, but they just couldn't, not yet. "How's everything else in the castle?" He didn't want to be on the difficulties of their relationship anymore. His rough hand felt Nik's much softer hand. Adam loved feeling Nik's smooth skin.

{ Deena }

"Why thank you very much. I'm really glad you liked my petite performance out there.", Deena thanked her, a shy little chuckle escaping her mouth as he did, shrugging her shoulders as if to show it wasn't really the greatest thing in the world nor had it been her best. Somehow, this time, it truly pleased her to know Helena thought she was good at what she did, feeling a funny tickle in her gut every time the brunette complimented her.
She nodded her head at her request, as a sheepish apology, as he offered Helena a smile in return. "If that would please you, I could call you simply by your name, then.", She said. If Deena had to be honest, she really liked that air of austerity of hers; arrogance was something she could barely stand, but Helena was nothing but humble and maybe a bit rebellious someway, which she found quite charming. "Oh, I could agree. It has been nice and greatly agreeable talking to you, too, ... Helena.", Even though she hesitated a bit, not used to call someone of her position by their name as an equal, she didn't forget her previous words and she didn't want to disappoint her.

George pinched the bridge of his nose as he started to walk off, following Feon. "Let's have a chat later Mahzun!" George said as he left raising a hand as he left for the dinner hall. He wasn't going to take part, only watch from the shadows for now. The queen may have won this round, but there would be a time where she would have to fall, and chances are there would be a war to go with it. George was already considering his next plans. He wasn't content with just being an assassin anymore. He wanted more, he wanted power now.

Feon finished up her cleaning and left the area to look better than it did before. She had the head however in a separate bucket as she would be cracking into the head later to eat the brain. Soon enough she was off helping the other servants to prepare the meal. It had quite alot of meat in it, but also had quite a bit of vegatables and grains. It was like an entire food pyramid with the grains and meat area flipped.

Helena gained another slight blush once Deena agreed she was enjoying the conversation. "You also do makeup, right? How's business with that?" She knew there weren't many balls and parties in the castle recently, so that meant Deena wasn't being hired. "You did your own makeup, huh? It looks really good," she complimented and laughed, "I couldn't do my own makeup in a million years." There was no doubt Deena was beautiful with the makeup, but Helena was curious about her natural looks too. The vampire didn't doubt Deena was beautiful, her easygoing personality exuded a certain brightness from her. It surprised Helena that men weren't running through to the backstage, trying to swoop up the vampire before anyone else could.

"Yeah, I actually do. It's not going that bad, fortunately." Deena replied with a nod. She smiled and ran a hand through her wavy hair; she used to touch her hair constantly whenever she was nervous (mostly, in a good way), a sort of 'tick' of her she couldn't quite shake off. "Oh, sweet of you! It's barely anything decent for the night, really. I have some kind of personal etiquette for work and stuff...", She mumbled in response, feeling a tad flustered by all the flattery, waving vaguely a hand as if to give it no real importance. She wasn't accustomed to being that much complimented, either; usually, she was the one who used to compliment everyone around (specially her clients, for obvious reasons). "Though I'm sure a beautiful woman like you wouldn't need much of that, either.", She commented, the words coming out naturally from her mouth, before she could even realize. Not like if she regretted saying so, anyways. 'She seems to glow whenever she smiles and blushes like that', she thought. Now, she could be truly glad nobody had come to bother them yet. If only she could make that moment last longer... The other's words gave her an idea.
"I could help you out with that anytime.", Deena offered, quickly, and maybe just a little too cheerful about it. Oh, Lord! She hoped she didn't seem desperate or anything like that.

Once more, Deena had Helena blushing through flattery. Usually Helena wasn't so confound by flattery. When Nik or Adam told her she looked good, she was happy, but never this giddy. She felt scatterbrained at every little compliment Deena gave. Their moment seemed to be fading and this worried Helena. She wanted to spend as much time with Deena as possible, even if that meant cutting it a bit close to making it to dinner. At Deena's offer, Helena has seconds to think without creating and awkward silence. Should she take the chance to spend time with her now? Should she wait a bit more? Helena didn't want to seem desperate, but she really wanted to spend more time with the woman. Deena seemed happy to help, but was that because that was her job? Helena didn't think that was right, Deena quickly proved to be a kind and friendly person, someone who wanted to help others, not manipulate them. "Actually," Helena said, her cheerfulness meeting Deena's, "I have time tonight if you don't have anything else to do, that is." Helena hit herself on the inside. Of course Deena would have something to do! It was too late now, she already made herself seem inconsiderate and desperate.

"Until we meet again George."

Mahzun moved up beside the Queen and kept stride with her, hunched over so they could speak face to face on the same level. It was about the most generous thing Mahzun had done in his life. His breath was coppery and sickly sweet, like a gaping wound festering with a wet fever.

"You have actual feelings for the bloodbags. That is dangerous. Were the hierarchy reversed, would they give us mercy? Consider that, Aurora. You do not need to waste brainpower on such petty things."

"Or, perhaps..."

Mahzun allowed a wry smile, one that conveyed good humor, even though there was no humor in his eyes.

"This is your way of making yourself feel better about being a murderer? Even in this pathetically gentle age, do you think your existence bring no sorrow to the humans?"

~Queen Aurora Damascus Krishkov~

Aurora was paying attention to Mahzun's words. She could see some truth in what he said. The vampire existence alone was inevitably to bring sorrow to the humans.

"I try my best, Mahzun. One has to keep the balance. I remember my human life, and I beg you to do it as well, brother. Humans are exeptionally fragile and sentient beings. Their blood is a vampire's greatest delight, as you know. The least we can do is treat them in a humane way, even if we are humans no more. The.. 'bloodbags' are cooperating, why shouldn't we? We posess such power that we could annihilate nations of them; yet does this mean we should? You owe some more wisdom to the years you have lived, Mahzun."

Aurora made a small pause, and looked at Mahzun with frowned eyebrows and her head silghtly tilted to the side. "Reconsider your actions, Mahzun. All that you want, you could earn if only you were to change your ways. You would make both our lives easier. Aurora's hope was true. The knowledge that her hope was in vain, also true. Shaking the sympathy off of her, she let her serious look arise, straightening her posture once more. "The royal family is starting to keep an eye on you, Mahzun. You have drawn too much attention, and soon I will not be able to cover up your actions any longer. Prove to us all, and yourself, that you are capable of nobility, and wisdom. Cause trouble no more. Reconsider. Your chances are running out, Mahzun.

Corinth & Gunnar

"So, I'd like to have you train some of the new Scouts. Just got word that a few came in." Gunnar looks at the smaller man who merely nods his head. "Also I'd like you to keep an eye out on Mahzun. He may be part of the royal family but he and the company he keeps aren't good people."

Corinth nods again. "He and George seem to be rather greedy... And the mercenary doesn't seem to be trustworthy. Not that mercs are honorable to start with. You have to have questionable morals to do that kind of work."

Magnus

Magnus makes his way down the hall, and comes to the door of the King's Study. He knocks. "I have the weekly reports, sire."

Mahzun stopped and allowed the conversation to end on that note. If Aurora kept walking without him, he'd watch her as she left, anger simmering in his weasily guts. There was no way in hell he was going to actually change, least of all for his sister. He turned to glide back into the depths of the castle, claws flexing with discontent. Mahzun more or less had an entire floor to himself, with no lights, scant windows (all of which were boarded over), and countless hallways and doors. Some doors opened into hallways which looped back around in semi-circles, twining together into a banded maze of dead ends. The carpet was plush and soft, but the floorboards beneath it squeaky and uneven. Only a vampire could quickly traverse the floor without a sound. Every wall was lined with surreal paintings commissioned many hundreds of years ago, crafted by human hands. They portrayed the landscapes of dreams, and of nightmares.

At the center of the whole mess, was Mahzun's room. The old vampire stopped in front of his door and removed a long brass key from his cloak. There was a heavy ratcheting sound as several tumblers were shifted. A crack of black opened up, and Mahzun slipped through. The crack disappeared. Within the pitch black confines of his quarters, Mahzun lay stretched haphazardly across a black velvet couch, naked, belly still grossly distended. Of course there was a coffin in there, and a fine one at that, but it wasn't time to sleep yet. First he had to think. Mahzun plucked at thoughts, rolled them around in his bony claws, considering them. There was always more than one way to skin a cat, and over the years he had become quite excellent at thinking on his toes.
The others considered Mahzun to be an emaciated, rabid dog of sorts, a mentally and physically diseased recluse meant to be looked upon with pity at best, and revulsion at worst. That was how Mahzun liked it. Few knew the truth, because they didn't like seeing it. He had spent his life not supping on fine wines and making witty, polite banter, nor posing in elegant clothes. He had lived, still lived, the life of a hunter and killer, and had feasted on more nutritious blood than virtually any other vampire, rivaled only by George. Mahzun had gorged himself at every opportunity, whereas his kin had exercised restraint. But again, there was still George.
Mahzun could see that George knew the putrid power that one could gain by killing and drinking. Mahzun considered the usefulness of the assassin, and suddenly like a blossoming flower, a plan came to Mahzun. One that could be the end of all their troubles...

@Cuccoruler

Feon would be able to hear the ringing of the servant's bell, coming from Mahzun's quarters. He had never been allowed in the room, permitted just to stand outside in order to hear the old vampire's voice. When he eventually did so, he'd hear the following;

"Feon. That is you? Tell George to come to my room. I will be speaking with him shortly."

Rena had left the castle earlier in the night, just as the rest of her siblings had. She more or less had to sneak away to be alone; she felt as if all eyes were always on her just because she was the youngest. She groaned leaning against her favorite tree. The branches hung low, the perfect hiding place for her--yet it was just close enough for her to head back to the castle. She was growing bored, watching the clouds roll over the night sky. A small breeze blew her curly black hair across her face and she placed her hands on her black dress to keep it still.

The other's suggestion was quite appealing, in fact, so much that Deena found it difficult to refuse. And not like she wanted to, anyways. At least, she was glad to see she hadn't freaked Helena out or something by how eager she might seem about the whole idea.
"Oh, that would be lovely. I was actually thinking about giving it a night and go home, I'm free for the night, so I wouldn't mind it if you would like me to assist you now.", She replied, smiling. Of course, that might be all about her job or something, but she couldn't help but feel excited about spending any more time with the noble vampire. She did find her interesting, after all. "I hope you wouldn't mind me gathering all my stuff first."

"No, no, of course not," Helena said in response to Deena. She was glad Deena didn't have any plans later and they could hang out. "I'll meet you out front." With that, Helena went outside, making sure to thank the security, and unmatched her horse's reigns from the wooden fence. She put her head against the horse's and cooed, "How are you feeling, buddy? Mind waiting for me one more time?" The horse blew air from his snout and bucked his head a bit. Helena brushed the horse's mane, happy to get the chance to learn more about Deena. She wasn't sure if Deena came here on a horse or not, but if not, she would offer her a ride. "Coming here was a good idea for once, huh?" she asked the horse who scratched at the ground with his hooves.

Duvalt & Magnus

Duvalt sits in his study working over reports on finances and the world aroumd them. The humans have always interested the king and he would often have a laugh when they went to war. Such greed, anger and hate. Tbey never changed their hearts, only the ways they killed each other. The politics especially made him chuckle. Especially America's with it's complete insanity over their leading parties. Here, he ruled his castle as its absolute ruler. He handed authority down to his wife first, then his generals. Men he had battled with for longer than most of his children were old. "Speaking of children... Those two haven't even thought about starting families... Especially Magnus..." He looks up as the door knocks amd Magnus aannounces himself. Clearing off the desk with the finished reports he calls him in. "Come in, come in. Have a seat friend." He smiles as the large man walks in and draws the biggest chair over to sit down. "How are the pups of yours? Still chewing your furniture?:

Magnus grunts. "Aye. Can't get Fang to stop chewing on things... He's a grown dog, needs to be looking for a female to breed instead of chewing my stuff."

Duvalt chuckles. "Speaking of women..."

Magnus grunts. "I'll pass. Ive seen yours grow up. Don't really care for it." Magnus crosses his arms. "I told you before. I've lost a lover already. Not to eager to try again..."

Duvalt chuckles as he flips through the report. "But to hold someone in your arms and cherish... Besides, it's been almost a millennia since then. Don't make me pull rank and start finding candidates." He says the last bit joking, laughing when Magnus turns red. "I jest, friend. Now, let's get out of this office. I've been in here all night and I'm famished." He stands and makes his way to the dining hall, Magnus on his heels, signalling to a servant to ring the dinner bell.

Alice
(open for interaction)

After playing a song or two Alice got up and walked around the castle looking for something else to do to pass the time. Maybe she shouldn't have kicked her lover out so early, though most of the time she only sees someone once and never again. It was as if they never existed in the first place. It was fine though as Alice hardly ever got attached to any of them, to her they were just tools and playthings.

{ Deena }

Once she heard the other's possitive reply, she nodded her head as well. As soon as the noble vampire had left to wait for her, Deena hurried to finish picking up her belonging, which wasn't a big task really, for she hadn't come with much in hand that night. So, after putting the guitar back on its case and maybe straightening her clothes just a bit, making sure she didn't look untidy or raggedy or anything of that nature. For once did she worry about the impression she gave the other.
Once done with that, she walked out of the backstage area, thanking at the guard there and biding him goodbye with a kind smile on her face, before she was already heading towards the exit. She wouldn't admit it out loud, probably, but she felt kind of nervous; surely she was excited about getting to know that nice and attractive vampire, but also she was quite conscious of her position here as well as Helena's. So, whether the other did like her or not, that she would have to find out.
She spotted the brunette by her horse, so she approached her with a smile, a tad shyly. "Hey, it's all done. We could leave whenever you prefer.", she said.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
{ Derrick and Kellan }

The two boys were wandering about the castle, heading downstair towards the dinning room, hopefully, as they chattered and teased each other like kids. That's when, at the end of one of the corridors, the dark haired noble vampire spotter his younger sister passing by. Of course, rumours had been whispered around the castle, running faster than they probably should, so he wasn't completely oblivious by that time about what Alice might have been doing earlier that morning. With a mischievous smirk, he ignored whatever Kellan was talking about at the moment and headed off towards her.
"Good evening, dear sister o' mine!", he greeted, with amused cheerfulness.
Rolling his light blue eyes, Kellan went after his best friend and bowed his head gently at the girl. "Hello, miss.", he said in his soft kind voice. He knew better that Derrick would only approach his siblings whenever he was up to something like messing up with them or asking for a favor. He doubted it would be the second in this case.
