"I'm free", she said, bewildered. As she sprouted her wings. "You are", he answered, smiling. While hiding all the strings.

Well whatever powers the relic is the same thing as whatever powers the other relics. There will be a range hting ot which shadows he can draw and what his extensive range his. Of course his range over physical shadows is lesser than that of illusionary. Also I thought it was a nice tidbit weakness that he can't manipulate his own shadow.

Agreed, that's Shin's speciality :p Lol, seriously though, it's indeed a nice touch.
But well, what I meaning to say was; does he have to sacrifice something in order to let the relic work? For example, his stamina, some blood, the life of others or something like that.

Hey, just wondering how would foreign sailors and traders be tolerated in countries in Azukhar? Y'know, the whole 'division and distrust' thing.

That differs greatly per country. Some, like the Harrans, welcome them with open arms, while others like Da-Hyun welcome the money they bring but stand rather distrusting to the foreigners themselves (seeing how they can be potential threads or spies). If you're wondering about a specific country, you should ask the one in charge over it :) (I'm all about Harra, Da-Hyun and Idris at the moment, Kalesia is Ellri's and Bark is in charge of Oragos and Othea, though that can change over time.)
@Sillygoy I'm very sorry but as being both one of the GMs and the one who's currently in charge of The Holy Order of Idris, I have to give you some major points of critique;

1. The Order of Idris is currently close to omnipotence in Othea, seeing how they control the current king as though he was a puppet and they are currently expanding even further. It would be possible for a really small group of dissidents to have recently formed, but not a group who has been around for more than 50 years and gained as much influence as you describe them to have. Seeing their current power and the nature of their organization, The Holy Order would have stomped out any dissidents long ago, as soon as they appear to form a threat or disobey the Holy Order.

2. Moreover, we're really trying to make this into a fantasy world. The Holy Order is not a Christian organization whatsoever, despite their practices that might at first seem similar to the Medieval Church. Due to this, they have no church, no cross as a holy symbol (this especially would make no sense at all, seeing how the cross didn't play a role in the history of the Holy Order, unless we say that Idris the Messenger was crucified... which I'd like to avoid really xD) no nuns (seeing how women are just cattle in their eyes), and no bishops. They have inquisitors, preachers and a Holy Council (who pull the king's strings). How exactly the Order works hasn't been decided, but I really want to steer away from Christianity, or any other major religions on earth for that matter. I can understand that you want the Order of Light to be different from the Holy Order, which is a good thing in itself, but please do understand that it won't be able to flourish as long as The Holy Order of Idris holds the power in Othea.

3. A minor point, at one part you state that he only had the relic for half a year and then you say it has been two weeks. It would be nice to have just one of them for the sake of clarity ^_^

To me, those are the main points of concern, excuses for being so harsh (Idris is turning into my little baby lol) :') I'm sure Ellri and Bark will come up with other comments on Dogfael, though I must say that I like the general concept of a hedonist priest.
@Freeshooter I took a look at it and I personally think that he's accepted. If my fellow GMs agree with that, you can post him into the character thread.
@Maki Looking good, we do have to find something to connect Marcus and Kaiden this time around xD Two minor points, it would be nice if you fill in his age and if you think of a reason for Kaiden to be in Othea. Just stating that the band of bandits has moved its working territory to Othea and Kaiden is checking out the city is good enough for me (though knowing Ellri, I'm not sure if you'll get away with that lol), as long as you give a reason.
@Sep While Ellri is the specialist concerning CS's, I'd like to give a two minor comments on Malich.
1. I think you'll need to edit the "Recently dubbed Lord Umbra" part out of your history ;p
2. Just out of curiosity, is there something powering his relic or does it only have to draw from the shadows?

Excellent. That's fine. Working on Developing alternative Chars as well. Perhaps an islander with a penchant for puzzles.

It's great to hear that you're already working on an alternative! Especially since I have to say that me and my two fellow GMs have decided that Umbra shouldn't be introduced into the story (especially not at this stage), seeing how it will provide Morgan with rather OP-powers and a whole lot of extra lore (which we are trying to avoid after the first Relics ended due to too much lore).

All in all, we're basically asking you to let go of Morgan and create a new character, sorry Dust.
@The Grey Dust: Me and the other gms are currently debating about your character and whether introducing the concept of Umbria is a possibility or not. We'll let you know as soon as we reach a consensus.
No problemo, glad to have been able to help! ^_^ I'd say that you can edit your cs to see if f Bark and Ellri are okay with the ideas as well :) Also, I think the new concept looks great!

Go ahead. :D This WAS my first time writing lore so bound to be corrections.@GMs, I recommend a lore sheet skelly. Pls? Would make reading different lores easier.

Good suggestion, I'll propose a format to my fellow gms. Though lore tends to be a bit unstructured, but we'll see what's possible :3

Also, a mega pm is coming your way as we speak xD (Also, I must say that you got the tone right for lore, it really sounded like an old scroll lol)
Yeah I can imagine that. Great to see that you're open for suggestions :)
Speaking of which, I have a few other suggestions for you.

How about the flow of time in Umbra works differently from that in Azukhar? That way, we could say that Morgan is... Let's say 25 years old (your call of course), speaking in Umbraïn time and appearance, but dissappeared from Azkhar as a child around 250 years ago. Basically, it would mean that she hasn't aged as much as she would have on Azukhar. That way she (yep, I'm just sticking with the 'she' even though Morgan is genderless, just for the sake of being practical xD) wouldn't know a thing about what's going on in the world, have no family members or connections on Azukhar and she won't have an idea where she came from or if that place even still exists. Moreover, spending 250 years in another realm would make her completely alienated to Azukhar and would make it very likely for her to become twisted in a way that she's barely human any longer. I suppose she could have gotten stuck in Umbra due to a previous wielder of the key. Figuring out how on Azukhar that happened is up to you (if you're going with this idea lol).

Another option is that as soon as she entered Umbra for the first time, she lost her memory, or she was too young to remember anything about her time on Azukhar.

As for Morgan's clothing, I think tights and a top or simply a closed cloak will help a lot to get rid of the undergarment feeling, without having to lose much of the sex-appeal (I suppose you made the picture yourself? If not, I can totally understand that even small changes will be rather hard to do.)

All of these are suggestions, so feel free to ignore or incorporate them :)
I have a few comment on that, Bing, but I really like the general idea as well as the simple fact that you came up with lore xD Would you mind it if I send you a pm with my comments? (For the sake of not spamming the OOC)
Ellri said
did you read the earlier answers to your questions at all? We specifically stated that all characters have to be alive and human, artificially animated beings. Second, the clothing on that image doesn’t make sense in the setting. Those are undergarments plus a cloak, not full clothes.

I'd like to add that while your concept is really interesting, especially the part about Umbra (but well, I'm a sucker for lore xD), I find it a bit disturbing that it appears to me that the relic has been forged three years ago. The secret of creating relics has been lost to time, so to me it would seem better if Morgan was 1. Human and 2. Locked in Umbra for a very, very long period of time, she was granted her relic which had been lost there as well, taught the ways of assassination but not anything else and pushed out into Azukhar to make some kills.

If this is already what you meant to say, then I'm sorry for summarising her history in such a crude way. However, I really have to agree with Ellri that she will have to be human. Perhaps a human with little emotion and social experience, molded to fit the relic (much like the Vocators are), but still... Deep dowm human.
