Justine suddenly felt as if someone had blown a breath of cold air on her neck. Maybe they should get out of here, and quickly too. She also then realized that she was the only one who didn't grab a weapon. She hadn't had time to grab anything before she ran smack dab into Hunter and fled the premises. She hopped off the tailgate and approached Hunter and Krystyn as they tried to figure out what was wrong with the truck.
"Exactly how much did you grab Krystyn? Is there something I could use? Maybe that bow and arrow?
She watched Hunter as he fiddled around with some stuff under the hood of his truck. As she looked at the truck, she wasn't surprised that it broke down. It didn't look like it would take them very far anyway. Frankly, it sort of looked like a death trap but if it was the only way they could get away from these. . . things, she would be happy with it.

Justine wasn't sure if she wanted anything to do with this boy. Two is a team but as far as she was concerned, three was a crowd. Not to mention that this boy looked like he was ready to shoot them both at any second. She wanted to find her best friend more than anything but now they were miles out of town and this idiot had attracted a giant horde of walkers directly around the area Justine had made her safe zone. Great.
"Where would you be going exactly? Maybe we could. . . Tag long? At least until we could come up with a plan on our own? She looked at Krystyn wonderingly and tried to read her facial expressions but as usual, there was none. She looked around and found Buddy nosing around in the dirt. He was so intrigued by all the new smells around him. She suddenly realized how thirsty she was and desperately reached into her backpack for a bottle of water and threw one to Krystyn as well. Trying to calm her nerves, she pulled down the tailgate of the boy's truck and sat down. Buddy jumped up next to her.

This idea could either make me look really smart or really stupid. I could be sitting here forever if everyone else has already found her and make myself look ridiculous when I come strolling up. Or, I could be the first one to catch her moving and ambush her on the spot! That would make me look like a pro. I bet no one else would suspect her to come to the place where we all started. I hope this pays off. . .
She heard Isa snarling a little ways away and wondered what he was so upset about. She bet it was because of that wolf boy. He didn't seem right, in a rather unnerving way. He constantly looked as if his best friend had betrayed him or someone ran over his cat. Wait, He didn't like cats. Savannah thought in a mocking tone. Who in their right mind wouldn't like cats? How is that even possible?
Just then, as she broke out of her thoughts, she saw something move in the brush in the corner of her eye. She hopped up a couple more branches to try and get a better view but the leaves would not budge. She did not want to leave her post but she couldn't help but wonder what that noise was. Was it Roxy?

As Savannah searched for the perfect tree to rest in, she realized that she had never met Roxy before. All she could do was make sure to have her pallet wide open for any new scent, no matter who's it was. As she scanned her surrounding area, she found a tree that she thought would suffice for her plan. This was her favorite part.
She unsheathed her claws, gathered her strength in her hindquarters and sprang off the ground a good 13 feet in the air to the nearest branch and clawed her way up. She loved looking down on the world below her. Maybe she would catch something. . .

Justine's entire body was charging full of adrenaline more than it ever had before. She called after Buddy to follow her as she hauled ass behind the boy with the shotgun. She couldn't be thankful enough that this boy actually wanted to help them. Well maybe "wanted" was a strong word but he at least he cared enough to yell after them that they could follow him. She seriously hoped Krystyn was following her. She looked behind her in desperation but didn't see Krystyn anywhere.
As she ran, she prepared herself to jump in the back of this boy's truck and not kill herself in the process. Buddy of course made the jump no problem. After she very clumsily made it in, the pounded on the back window of the boy'd truck and yelled at him asking if he could wait a minute for her friend. The walkers were still a while away and were not going anywhere fast. As long as they were quiet they shouldn't be noticed. She hoped the boy would understand and wait for a minute. . .
She also hoped that Krystyn would find her, and hurry up about it too.
