Kaira frowned a bit. "I hadn't committed to anything as drastic as leaving. I don't know..." she trailed off. "I just don't feel safe. I'll fight if it comes to it, but I'm not going to purposely involve myself. Lying low is more of my thing." It was better for her that way. Bonds weren't the easiest thing for her to handle. They made her vulnerable. She had lost her parents in a sense-because of their immoral behavior and cruelty, she had never gotten to experience that connection that many humans had with their family. She wasn't planning on being wounded from any sort of relationship again. It was bad enough that she had developed a soft spot for a few of the locals and didn't want to see anything bad happen to them, including the bartender and Cadence. It was similar to that feeling you have for your neighbors-you weren't entirely close to all of them, or even most, but you still liked having them around. Kaira shifted her gaze to Cadence once again, and to the human male who was impatiently watching them speak. She gave her one of her small smiles. "Glad to see you're enjoying yourself." The reek of blood mixed with meth coming from the guy was incredibly strong. Pushing down primal urges, she grasped her glass and drained the rest of the blood. Kaira slightly quirked her eyebrow at Cadence, a way of asking the girl if she planned on drinking any of that. Not that that would be a bad thing. Meth-laced blood sounded irresistibly appetizing to even her, and Kaira would have snacked on the guy herself if she hadn't long ago decided she wouldn't get blood directly from its source. She didn't want to hurt anyone.
