@AmongHeroes When two O-blades connect is it a 'don't cross the streams' scenario where both weapons fail catastrophically, or are we going by lightsaber rules? (They cut everything -but- each other)

Also, as I feel it's better to get these sort of things out in the open; I do have some concerns after reading @TK421's application. Is this going to be the sort of roleplay where characters can dual wield katanas and cut bullets out of the air?

O-blades won't cut each other, so I suppose you can think of them like lightsabers.

For your second question, first let me say thank you for bringing up a concern you have right away. This RP isn't going to have any katanas slicing bullets out of the air, or the like. I already have spoken with @TK421, and expressed the inherent limitation of having a character based around a pair of bladed weapons in this universe. There won't be any special accommodations made IC where such a loadout is more applicable than, say, a pistol. I liked aspects of the character however, and so I allowed it. Sometimes people can play characters well, even in strange circumstances, and I like to give that chance. If issues arise with the cohesion of the story because of anyone's character being out of sync, I'll be sure to address it.

It's a good problem to have. I'm going to go ahead and close the RP to more applicants, with the exception of @Noxious. No need to double up, my friend; there's plenty of room down in front.

If you've already been speaking with me via PM, and you have yet to finish your character, don't fret. This just concerns any true newbies to this wonderful little RP.

I've made it through all the PM's, I think. Thanks to everyone for expressing such interest in my little RP. It's a humbling thing to witness. At any rate, I'll be off to work soon, so I won't be free to respond to any more questions or character submissions until later.

Two questions @AmongHeroes:

Does YETI stand for anything?

Is it alright if we refer to oscillating blades as O-blades? Furthermore, what sort of shape is standard issue spec-ops fare? I'm partial to a kukri or combat knife design myself, if only to avert the 'infinitely sharp' katana trope.

YETI doesn't stand for anything. I admit, the name choice was purely because I thought it sounded cool. And yes, you can call the oscillating blades 0-blades. Feel free to use that type of language throughout the RP; it's what everyone in the real world does will everything, so it fits here. Also, as far as the standard spec-ops shape, I would say there is none. The cool thing about being spec-ops is that you are expected to operate with a lot more specialized, unique equipment.

How Mecha focused will this be? I've not done one before as they are generally not my thing. Is it going to be small one-time instances of YETI use? or will they be the major focus of the combat scenes?

It's going to be a mix of espionage, combat, and general action/adventure. There will be YETI battles, but not all the time.
