Kimberly laughed as she poked Riley on the arm.
"Always prepared. Why do I even bother?" Looking over at Alyssa, she rose an eyebrow and smirked.
"I'm sure miss Paige wouldn't dream of missing a chance to show off her sweet bod. But yeah, I'm game on going on a RV retrieval outing. But food. You sure you want to pay? I missed venison to eat out with my girls."Looking at Jack's Cafe's menu, everything looked really good to her. Whenever she went out to restaurants, her folks would always call her the 'slowpoke' of the Thatchers. It wasn't her fault. Not really. Kimberly wanted to try everything, but she always settled on a favorite dish. She was reluctant to try anything new after that. Today she was trying to break out of her little comfort default. Fishing for her mental coin, she trusted said coin to be unbiased. Even if it wasn't. She simply didn't want to find a real coin. Plus, there was never anything wrong with turning a two-sided coin into a twelve sided coin. Whatever the occasion demanded.
Before she got too involved in the menu, Kimberly remembered something stashed in her purse. Getting up from her chair, she went over to Alyssa side. She sat down.
"Hey, so you might've forgot, but," Kimberly reached into her purse and pulled out a hair tie. She opened Alyssa's hand and placed the hair tie in it and closed it,
"I borrowed this when we were out running. Last week or something. Thanks for letting me use it." Looking at Alyssa's face, her eyes trailed to her hair.
"You looked nice with a ponytail..."Starting to regret saying anything, Kimberly praised whatever powers may be as the cafe door opened. She turned around and looked at the new comer. The girl was most definitely out of town. Easy on the eyes, Kimberly wondered if she was here to stay or simply passing on through. She seemed like the city girl rather than a small towner.
Following Riley's example, Kimberly smiled and waved. Until proven otherwise, she gave folks the benefit of the doubt. Taking out her phone, she found her text conversation with Aron. She tapped the bubble and began to type a message:
Hey Cinnabon <3! Hottie alert just went off. I guess tell your dumb twin tooShe sent the message. Re-reading the previous text, she wrote up another one:
P.S. Love him ;)Putting her phone back in her purse, Kimberly waited for the stranger to come on over and join them. If she wanted to of course.
