There are two doors leading into the kitchen area, which is off-limits for some students
The vendors come in from outside the academy.
After class, teachers monitor the area for some time.
There are 5 doors leading into the school buildings, two of which are for teachers only.
The modern inside contrasts with the old-fashioned outside. The building must've gone through some renovations unlike the other older buildings on campus.
The books are sorted by the Dewey decimal system
There are 10 study rooms in total, two of which are reserved for clubs
Mostly used in spring and summer.
Used for ALL sports try-outs.
Surprisingly it's always open. Sometimes students go there if the courtyard is used for an event.
Music Room
The tables are arranged in a circle
Instruments are all against the wall and some are hanged up
The only exception is a grand piano in the centre of the tables.
Instruments can be rented out for a week
Dance Studios
There are five in total. One is reserved for the dance and gymnastic teams
The walls and the ceiling is covered in mirrors. Only one studio is an exception to that rule as it is used for aerial dancing so mirrors would be a hazard
If a student wishes to use props, they can be found in a large cupboard opposite the studios.
Uncovered Secrets:
Rumour has it that the vice principal was arguing with professor Haney about removing something from the teachers' lounge.
Profersor Barnes began to encourage students to consider applying for various leadership positions, including club leaders and the prefects.
Pine Hills Academy has only one mission: to help talented teens succeed in life. While located far away from any town or city, the academy compensates with a large campus filled small shops and cafes. The classrooms are state-of-the-art and contain the newest technology to ensure the students have the best resources required for success. Not much can be found about the academy online, apart from the fact that most of its alumni had gone on to do great things.
The tuition is high and the entrance exams are difficult, ensuring that the teachers' time isn't wasted on those who have no chance of advancing in society. However, the academy recognises the talent of those who may not afford to apply and offers 3 scholarships each year to less fortunate.
Despite its prestigious reputation, there are many rumours floating about the academy: whispers about missing students, professors seen associating with shady individuals, the suspiciously high budget and to top it all of those who speak ill of it tend to deny their it claims once questioned. While it seems suspicious, there doesn't seem to be proof of wrongdoing or any criminal activity. The police have looked into the missing students but they never released any information to the public.
This RP is mostly about uncovering the secret history behind the school's founding and the illegal schemes that keep it running. Based on which classes each character takes, they will receive information about the academy or gain skills that may help throughout the story. Each lesson's results will be posted in the 0th post in the IC. In order to avoid making the RP boring, the classes will 'fade to black' and we will rp what happens outside of class. The only exception for this will be if a class is relevant to the storyline or if a character must do something important during a class. However, you're free to summarise what your character did during class time.
Whenever someone learns something about the academy it will be updated in the characters' 0th post so we can keep track of everything. Aside from uncovering the mysteries of the school, the characters can form relationships with each other or focus on their hobbies and school.
Scholarship Conditions
Every year, three individuals may receive a scholarship based on 1 of the following conditions: The applicant has excelled academically (Awarded to: Erik Fieldson) Or: The applicant is skilled athletically (Awarded to: Leonardo Zamudio) Or: The applicant had improved/benefited their community (Awarded to Alana Fujimori) Each application will be assessed by the headmaster and a member of our faculty will visit each applicant to determine if they deserve to attend the academy. The 3 successful applicants will be invited to tour the school and learn more about their courses 2 weeks before the school year starts.
Dormitories:
Pine Hills Academy has 15 dormitories, each equipped to house 5 students. Every building contains a kitchen, 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an outside area and a living space. When applying the students can inform us of their prefered dormitory, however, we can't ensure they will end up with what they want. (only 3 dormitories are available for freshmen as the rest is either occupied or under renovations.)
Curie dorm:
Quinn McNamara
Alex Pearson
Angelica Casey
/The oldest dormitory on campus. Originally for faculty, however, once the number of students increased in 1975, faculty members were transferred into a new building closer to lecture halls./
Newton dorm:
Erik Fieldson
Tyler Cross
/The dormitory closest to the lecture halls. Popular amongst students due to the proximity of nearby cafeteria and sports area. Many pupils from various year groups tend to spend time in the living space between classes, so the dormitories are usually crowded./
Leibniz Dorm
Leonardo Zamudio
Alana Fujimori
/One of the newer dormitories. The living area is larger than in the other dorms so it's not uncommon for students to host parties there. It is rather close to the entrance of the academy.
The Faculty and classes
The Principal: Theodosia Hawthorne The Vice-Principal: James Crowter
The students can select what subjects they wish to study but all are required to take at least 3 years of the ones listed below:
Math: Taught by Professor Lawrence Harris English: Taught by Professor Regina Haney Science: Taught by Professor Gene Barnes
Their schedules will remain the same each day. Each school day begins at 8:30 am and ends at 3 pm, after which they may attend an extracurricular club or do whatever they want on campus. The students who fall behind in their studies will be required to attend additional classes.
The students may choose up to 2 additional subjects per day. These can change next year so the students will have to reapply for their subjects in the summer term.
*The classes aren't important to the story but based on what you study, you can find out different things about the academy.*
The schedule:
8:30-Homeroom 9:00-Math 10:00-English 11:00-Break 11:15-Science 12:15-Additional Class #1 13:15-Lunch 14:00-Additional Class #2 15:00-End of the school day
Rules
Only 3 scholarship students allowed Romance allowed No God-moding Don't Metagame Don't play Mary-Sues or Gary-Sues Listen to the Gm and Co-Gm(s). Have as many characters as you want. Would prefer if each IC post had at-least 3 sentences, but I won't mind if someone posts less.

@Crimson Flame@sassy1085@Raptra@baraquiel@Secrethood@Overlord24@Blueflame Mrs. Gabrielle looked over the students before she began answering: " We have a lot of different classes ranging from science to various arts. All students will receive their timetable during today's homeroom. As for lunch, it will start right after your combat/gym class, at 2 p.m.". The woman took a breath, looking down at her pad before she responded to the final question." Students are not permitted to leave the school's premises unless accompanied by a member of staff. The only other time when a student is allowed to leave the premises is when they are traveling home during the school holidays. Now, everyone, the opening ceremony will begin soon. Please follow me.". Gabrielle tucked her pad underneath her arm before, slowly entering through the gates of the academy, shooing the fairies away.
Annabeth tied the ends of the unfinished flower crown around her wrist, creating a slightly loose bracelet. She stood up and shook off the grass from her cardboard brown tunic. Eying the older woman with disdain she followed, whilst maintaining a slightly large distance between them. The girl hated being contained in the same location for long periods, and the rules about leaving the academy's grounds see med too strict. Yet not everything seemed so terrible-the combat class did sound good...
To say that Alison was overwhelmed by the loud presence of other campers would be an understatement. She decided to stay on the sidelines, trying to avoid thinking about conversing with others and instead the blonde looked at the landscape of the camp. Everyone seemed so confident and accustomed to socializing with others. Alison felt completely out of place.
Tiffany
Tiffany smiled at the commotion caused by the younger girl. Sure, the camp and the people who ran it emitted a sense of abnormality and mystery but the other campers and the scenery made it seem pleasant and homely. She slid down the tree and sat down crossed legged, awaiting the beginning of the first activity- she could get to know the others later during the week.
The gates opened, revealing a middle-aged woman with a writing pad and a pen in her hand. She wore a white dress which seemed to belong back in the 18th century and her hair was tied into a messy bun. Overall she looked like she got dressed in a hurry. She cleared her throat to attract the children's attention before she began speaking: "Hello students. I'm Mrs.Gabrielle- one of your teachers. We will be entering the school building in ten minutes. Does anyone have any questions? If not, feel free to continue chatting amongst yourselves."
A young man sat in the backseat of a car, staring at his phone, ignoring his parents' attempts to talk to him. It was just the repetition of the things they said at home. They made a mistake. It wasn't you. It will be alright. The boy found these comments hilarious. How blind these two could be? He knew what he was doing and he didn't regret it. He didn't regret anything- why would he? This whole ordeal made him more infamous and- he hoped- more feared.
After a couple of minute's, his parents got the hint and shut up. Too bad they only realized as soon as they arrived by the gate. Edward- for that was the boy's name- left the car quietly and grabbed his suitcase from the trunk. He approached the gate slowly, only turning around to wave and fakely smile at his parents and ventured into the camp. The place looked terrible and he certainly didn't look forward to spending his summer here.
Anastasia
Two women walked on a forest path, chatting and occasionally laughing about who knows what. They talked quietly but loud enough to be able to hear each other. A couple of metres behind them was a man carrying two bags. The two women closely resembled each other but if you looked closer you would see that one was 4 centimetres shorted and if you took of the shorter one's sunglasses her eyes would resemble the colour of blue raspberry bonbons, a contrast to the taller one's grass coloured ones. Those three were a family, at least in the public's eyes. But in reality, it was just a daughter, a mother and a lover.
Time passed quickly and the shorter girl who was known as Anastasia to many arrived by an entrance to a campsite. The mother patted the girl's back and the man gave her the two bags. Anastasia thanked the pair and hugged the woman before smiling back at them happily before she entered the campsite.
