Bio

Hello! :)

I'm Aleksandra, and I'm a third-year university student. I've been roleplaying on and off for the past six years. I enjoy anything fantasy, mystery and slice-of-life. I tend to stick to group roleplays unless I know a person well (some bad experiences soured 1x1 for me). Happy to do romance, so long as the other user is 18+. As for gore, I'm fine with it.

I might be busy due to writing and programming my dissertation project, but I will try to be active in the evenings and weekends. I'm trying to get back into roleplaying after a three-year absence, and as such, I'm trying to stick to one or two RPs at a time so as to not overwhelm myself again.

English is not my first language, but I have lived in England for eleven years and seem to get by fine, so take that as you will

My character sheets, roleplay plots and unfinished ideas: Warning, most of this is admittedly cringe. Working on fixing that

Current RPs:
-> None at the moment

Current Interest Checks:
-> Pirates of Lreya

Marcus

@Squirrel98

The celebrating crowd looked significantly smaller compared to when Marcus and Hope entered the store. Some of the uniformed guards looked more alert as well, keeping an eye on everyone who walked past, suggesting that something bad must've happened. The captain felt dread fill his body- what if the crew somehow exposed themselves? Clutching tightly at the packages in his arms, he turned to Hope:

'' You go on ahead- I'll try to figure out what's going on. If I don't return by sunrise, leave without me.''

Anya

Having identified the two possible routes, Anya went to check up on how the crew was getting on with the preparations. The final decision about which way the crew would travel ultimately came down to Marcus- Anya could only give advice. Once she made sure that everyone was doing fine above deck, she pulled out her newly acquired scraps of fabrics and began to sort them into various piles based on their material

Jane

Around half-hour has passed since the group's last lead, so Head Guard Val sent Jane back to the castle to get some rest. She was, of course, annoyed but couldn't argue with him. He was becoming more aggravated and she didn't want to risk being punished. Despite them both working in the castle, Val was technically a noble and he held power over her. Still, she couldn't help suggesting one more thing before the matter was out of her hands.
'' Maybe he's near the town borders- there's a high chance he would try to flee back to the place he came from. Maybe the guards on the port or castle wall duty saw him enter the town.''
Marcus

@Squirrel98

Marcus grabbed a few packages, one of which he managed to put in the pocket of his coat. He nodded his head, as he balanced his findings in one arm and opened the door with the other. He checked if the coast was clear, before heading out first. Holding the door open for Hope, he said quietly '' After we drop these off, let's get an extra bag from the ship- it should make it easier to carry everything.''

Anya

Anya picked at her fingers as she scanned the two possible routes. One was faster and would let the crew rest on a smaller island which seemed mostly inhibited apart from a small group that moved their settlement to one corner of the island a couple of decades ago. Although, she had no idea how the people would react at a sight of a foreign ship and they could end up having to fight their back onto the ship. The route itself seemed to lend itself for sea travel with an exception of a few areas where rocks jutted out above the water surface. On the other hand, the second route was heavily monitored by the navy and was longer but it apparently had a bigger population of fish, which would be useful if they were to run out of meat. The weather also tended to be more consistent there, making navigating easier and going off route harder.

Jane

@Blade17
'' We already checked there, but thank you nonetheless. Have a good evening sir- I hope you'll find whoever you're looking for.'' she said turning to the guard. '' Sir Val, we should check the outskirts. He couldn't have gotten far.''. Jane curtsied to the redhaired man before leading the group of guards into an empty alleyway. Slowly, she was beginning to lose hope- maybe she should've grabbed the nearest the guard she could find instead of heading back? It was too late anyway. Now all she could do is trust the ability of the royal guard and pray that the man was caught.
Quinn

Quinn edged closer to the elderly woman and listened half-heartedly to her speech. Her mother made sure she understood each rule before leaving for the academy. Still, she felt compelled to listen in case something new was added to the rules, despite her firm belief that after the first week they wouldn't be as heavily enforced. After all, most school rules just existed to make sure children would learn some discipline and the stricter the rules, the better a school looked to parents who wanted their offspring to aim high.

As the woman waited for a question, Quinn scanned the crowd, noticing that no one was speaking up. Wanting to break the semi-awkward silence, she hesitantly raised her hand and asked:

'' I know this is slightly unrelated, but are there any extracurriculars that we can attend?''

Regina Haney

@Blade17@EurmalEye

After the silence was broken by the blonde girl, Regina answered, somewhat irritated that she couldn't finish off the orientation quickly.
'' There are many existing clubs that you may join, but you also have the option to form a club as long as you get permission from a teacher''
At least everyone seemed to have the resources that the school sent out- that always saved time. Satisfied that everyone else seemed to understand the rules, Regina pulled the clipboard from underneath her arm and looked over the names of the students and which dormitories they were placed in. Whilst looking over the names she spoke up:
'' Since all of you have maps, you shouldn't have any trouble getting to your dorms. Please go through the gate and head to your dorm as soon as I read out your name. You'll have the rest of the day off to explore the campus and get acquainted. Now the students in Leibniz dorm are...''

The teacher recited the names in a quick manner although her posture suggested she was tired of the whole ordeal. Time seemed to stop as countless students began filling the school courtyard and excited chatter filled the air. Finally, she had gotten to the final dormitory ( Currie):
''Casey, Angelica......Pearson, Alex...... McNamara, Quinn''

Regina Haney

@Raptra@Squirrel98
Regina raised her hand in an attempt to get the students' attention and in a croaky voice she demanded ''Everyone please gather round! All of you have received your rulebooks, schedules and maps of the campus in the mail. In case any of you haven't let me know now or forever keep your peace''. Having taught and welcomed the new students to the academy for years now, she could recite the welcoming speech from her memory perfectly. Without waiting for everyone to get close enough to hear her, she continued :

''Welcome to Pine Hills, everyone! I'm Professor Haney and I will be teaching you English. You're here because you were talented enough to pass our state of the art examinations and we were able to see your worth. Now I assume all of you have read the school rules but since you could have already forgotten, let me read out loud for you before we head in:

1) All students must arrive in their classrooms 5 minutes before the lesson starts.
2) There's no reason a student should skip class. If you're feeling unwell, notify one of the school nurses.
3) While classes are in session students need to be dressed in a formal office style attire.
4) Defacing of the school is prohibited.
5) Remain within the school grounds unless you've received permission to leave
6) Respect all staff and all of your peers.
7) All students should remain in their dorms after eight in the evening.
8) Consumption of any drugs is prohibited on the school grounds. Any student over 18 may consume ONE glass of wine during school events.
9) Do not wander into any staff-only areas without a teacher

Each rule is here for a reason and if any of them are broken, you will be severely punished. Any questions so far?''

Getting through the rules was usually the hardest part. Many students liked to challenge them, not understanding that she wasn't in charge of creating them and couldn't do anything about them. Despite her annoyance, Regina understood their desire to misbehave now that they were away from their parents- they had more freedom to be themselves.
Regina Haney

@Blade17@EurmalEye

''You must be the other scholarship student'' said Regina, turning to face Leonardo ''Mr Zamudio, is that correct?''. Looking over her checklist she marked off his name. Now all she had to do was to send off the scholarships student to their dorms and welcome the rest of the students. The reason why the scholarship students didn't have to stay at the gates for an extra thirty minutes was that all of this was already explained to them at the orientation- where each subject was held, punishments, locations of various businesses and leisure areas around the campus and the rules each student was expected to follow. With a sigh, she tucked her clipboard under her arm.

'' Feel free to head to your dormitories boys. If you get lost ask an older student for help or a member of staff. Hopefully, I will see you two in my English class tomorrow, if you're not late''

Quinn

Leaning against the marble fence surround the school, Quinn was busy tapping away on her phone to her followers about how the school looked from the outside. Out of boredom, she would occasionally try to look over the fence to see the upperclassmen or a bit of the campus but due to her short stature, she could barely stretch her neck enough to get a glimpse which increased her curiosity about the academy. Thankfully, no one seemed to notice her bad attempts at looking at the campus and even if they did, Quinn doubted they would recognise her unless they were really into theatre. Many of her roles were small since not many people wanted to pay for a child actress due to high costs and complex legislation. As for her 'influencer' status, most of the time, people thought she was a doppelganger or an obsessive fangirl instead of the real deal. While her lack of popularity and recognition often saddened her, now she couldn't be more grateful for it.
Marcus

@Squirrel98

'' I'm not really sure. The only labels here are written in Spanish and I'm quite rusty when it comes to that language'' muttered Marcus, his eyes sweeping over the brown paper. Most of them didn't have any smell suggesting that either they were flour or grain-based and would last for quite a while, or that they were already stale and the paper was blocking the light acidic smell. Decidedly, he whispered to Hope '' Even if he is, we can't risk waking him up. Let's just grab as much as we can carry in our arms and drop it off on the ship. If there's time we'll return to the apothecary and the butchers''

Reaching gently towards the shelf, Marcus grabbed one of crinkly packages.

Anya

@Squirrel98

Anya glanced worriedly at Jack but ultimately decided not to question him about what happened. For quite a while he has been somewhat avoiding her and she never understood why. Dropping off both her's and Blake's bags under the mast, she called out to the rest of the crew to begin preparing for a departure. She made her way back into her sleeping quarters (which she shared with two other crew members) to retrieve her compass and to quickly study a copy of the map the captain gave her. Like usual, she wouldn't emerge until Marcus officially ordered them to leave or if it was an emergency.

Jane

@Blade17
Jane and the head guard wandered the city square hopelessly. Clearly, the man had left, but considering that it was a small island, he couldn't have gotten too far. The pair questioned the lower-ranking guards if they saw which way the man was headed. Dejected by a lack of any answer, they eventually had to resort to asking the civilians.

Approaching a red-haired man, Jane,-in an authoritative tone- enquired ''Excuse me, sir. Have you perhaps seen a dark-haired man with a dirty scarf somewhere in this area? We fear he might be a fugitive who tried to hide within our city walls ''
@Blade17 Both the captain and Hope are still in the shop, away from the festivities. To find them so soon seems a bit OP. Could Blake maybe find them once they've left the store?
Regina Haney

@EurmalEye
Regina glared scornfully at the blue-haired man who began attracting the attention of the other students. Another celebrity it seemed. She regretted not getting that cup of coffee in the staff room this morning- this was going to be quite a long morning. Forcing on a stiff smile, she shook Erik's hand and checked his name off the register. Unlike the other students who would be registered as they entered the school campus, the scholarship students had the privilege of entering the school grounds early to help them ease into a new environment.

'' Yes, yes. Mr Fieldson. Did you attend the orientation a couple of weeks ago?'' she asked, looking back at her clipboard, ready to tick another box by the boy's name. Regina found Erik's friendly nature certainly refreshing, although a bit alarming. Most of the students were either young stars full of attitude or serious, no-nonsense heirs who felt that they were above everyone not in their social circle. She wasn't sure if he would be able to survive amongst his peers.
Marcus

@Squirrel98

'' Grab some jars'' ordered Marcus quietly, taking a couple more himself '' On our way out, we will grab some of the packages by the door. It will be easier to get out that way in case he wakes up.''. That was certainly a risk, as most of the packaged products weren't labelled and might not last for the entire voyage. Moving swiftly across the store, he looked for more items that could be grabbed without making much noise. There wasn't much- just a jar of honey and a wooden box containing eating utensils wrapped in cotton for a family of four.

Marcus approached the door to examine the wrapped goods while waiting for Hope to join him.

Anya

@Blade17@Squirrel98

Jack's words made Anya's blood run cold. If one person claimed that they were in danger it seemed insane, especially if they haven't aroused much suspicion. However, if two people did that was a completely different story. Glancing at Blake, she sighed and held out her hand to get his bag.

''Go find the captain and the rest of the crew. I'll get the ship ready to sail'' she said apologetically before, once again, returning back onto the ship.

Jane

Soon enough, Jane was able to convince the Head Guard that the man was a possible threat. Her fake cries and dishevelled state certainly helped, although she was sent back to her quarters to change into something more presentable before they headed back out. Not wanting to ruin any more of her own clothes, she quickly got dressed in her maid's uniform which, while more expensive, was made of tougher material and could be easily replaced by the royal tailor.

After no more than 20 minutes, Jane and the guard headed back down into the city square to find the suspicious man.
@Blade17 Wouldn't that give him an unfair advantage in the Spanish class? I would suggest switching the classes on Wednesday, but it's ultimately up to you.
