I thought I asked if everyone was alright with it being a school setting? As for the bio thing so people don't have to makeup an entire life on the spot. Your character can choose to open up and describe their past. Its a better way for characters to get to know one another without just knowing. Something I never liked. The school is Ran by Valathos? Maybe... or Aqutanama. not really sure what one. But they planned to train a newer generation to defend themselves against another war. He is there to teach them how to be "Good" and not "Bad". So... it is a school of sorts. Although it is more like a house made for a family. The family size depends on how many people will be rping.
