Oh, I meant eight meters, not feet.

ahh, alright. I can work with that. I think I've got a character concept I can use, though I'd like to bounce some ideas off you before I post anything concrete.

Majority of Mechs are humanoid, but if your brain is flexible enough, you can pilot a non-humanoid NC. Also, it's closer to Anime, sadly.

Scale is variable; most Mechs are 8 feet tall, but larger models exist.

8 feet? that's basically power-armor with highheels.
Saw your Interest Check, seems interesting enough, and I've always had a soft spot for big stompy robots.

intro post says NCs are all humanoid, but the sheet implies there are non-humanoid NCs? need more info on that. Also, what's a standard fight look like with these things? Are we talking Chromehounds, Armored Core, Mechwarrior?

P.S. what's the scale as well? is there david-vs-goliath size variation?
Alex was concentrating on controlling his breathing, letting the music in his ears carry him across the concrete. The intensity of the sunlight here in Panama was brutal compared to back home, and even now he could feel his sweat soaking into his clothes in a futile attempt to bleed off the oppressive heat of the day. He turned a corner and into a short breeze, a moment of respite before the burn returned to his face as his attention was drawn to his heart trying to hammer it's way out of his chest.

The music ended and his feet felt like lead, landing more heavily than a Gunner plodding it's way back to base. He hadn't been here long and already he had formed a routine in his morning run. Gulping air for a moment, he keyed his uplink to silent before he walked into the same convenience store he'd stopped at for the past two weeks. Same drink, same cashier, same chime as the door opened.

Alex relaxed in the serene monotony of his morning as his tired legs carried him through the city's crowds as he went over his plans for Colony Day. He keyed his uplink again, switching it to broadcast news as he wove through the crowd back towards his home. He'd be back in time for the Parade, as even he found himself drawn to the spectacle.
@CaptainSullyHe was telling you what you need to fix to get the character approved. Considering your comment, you're giving up because you can't have "The Ace: The Character"? C'mon now.

Daddy Shwah already said it has a narrative focus, so I wouldn't say it's not going anywhere ^-^ And if there's a decent enough narrative in his head (which I assume there is considering all this), I don't see why there couldn't be any large scale changes in mind.
And tabletop for an RP like this would be wonderful, but would also require him to make his own tabletop game from scratch. Plus, that would take away a lot of variety, which seems to be the focus here :3 Maybe if the scale were smaller, but this all seems pretty grand, making tabletop pretty hard.

Forums move at a glacier's pace, and as deep as the story looks, it'll take a while to dig in without skipping something.

Also, you'll enjoy tabletop more if you learn to give everything a new coat of paint. same numbers machine underneath, but it looks like something else entirely.

anyway, I'll see if I can put a character concept together.
Eh, looking at all this, it seems like either the story will go nowhere and act as a sandbox/treadmill or it will take too long for players to become strong enough to make anything happen on a large scale. Seems better suited to a tabletop setting, because it'd reign supreme in a format like that.

Ah my apologizes. I didn't know.

Also hi - I think I've seen you around here and there.

No worries, and we spoke back on that failed omniverse check.

@ArmorPlated

My character is a godless wretch who practices borderline necromancy.

Nothing has been said concerning how they'll be treated by gods and their followers, which is what I'm interested in. If they shun gods and their ilk, are they hunted? If non-believers formed a nation, what would happen to it?
@LmpkioMy question was directed at @ShwiggityShwah, concerning people that don't submit to the rule of these apathetic and malicious "gods".

edit: also, hello again.
Interesting, but what happens to those who have zero faith or trust in the divine?
