Current I have finished THREE projects in the last two weeks. Where did all this motivation come from? The light bill.

Bio

I'm an almost-30-year old yarn artist. Mother of two sweet daughters. Wife of an amazing Hubs who basically lets me do whatever I want.

I crochet little things like the owl in my thumbnail, and big things too like four foot long bears with heart shaped feet. ^-^

I do commissions for crochet, just send me a pic or an idea and I will make it work.

Ayrie laughed, "Apparently! I can't imagine eating military rations really satisfied your appetite for good food. Especially having been spoiled living here. I don't know what it is but the food here is just so good!"

She took a bite of her own food, following it with a large sip of wine.
Ayrie watched him move, gracefully setting the table for the two of them. As he made his plate she opened and poured two glasses of wine, setting one in front of him. When he was done she set the bottle down and took the container from him, putting some on her plate and taking a bit of sweet and sour chicken, and some rice from the other containers. She sat down and took a sip of wine and a few bites of food to get her stomach to quiet down before she spoke.

"So, Symphony says that I am almost trained enough that he can say I'm no longer a 'student'." She said, "He says there are only a few things we need to work through, one of those being my attacking. I'm not ruthless enough for him, I suppose."

This was an understatement. She wasn't ruthless enough for anyone, including Nadia. She flat out refused to attack anything that didn't look like it would actually kill her or someone else. Nadia had had to send away multiple opponents after hour long stand offs where she would simply sit and talk with them while they were restrained. There had been more than one interesting conversation, and more than a few she had reprimanded for their poor behavior, but she had only aggressively attacked two herself and that was because Nadia had gotten distracted and allowed them to get too close to her.
Her eyes widened when he pulled her close, but she relaxed into him easily letting out a sigh. She had been wanting to be close to him for a long time, and it felt good. His skin still had a light water smell from his shower, and his shirt was soft against her cheek.

"No, I don't mind." She wrapped her arms around his waist and lightly squeezed. "It feels nice, and I missed you, too."

She sent a thought tendril to Symphony that she probably wouldn't be home until late, and then lightly sealed the bond between them so he couldn't eavesdrop. The little devil could 'hear' her wherever she was in the city, though they had never been separated by more than a few miles since their connection was made. If he was in trouble, or more likely if she was, either of them could break the seal she placed and communicate an emergency.

She let the hug go on for some time, but her stomach grumbled loudly and made her giggle. She pulled away only slightly, her hands still on his waist, and looked up at him. "I think that might cause an issue if we don't address it soon."
Ayrie smiled brightly when he opened the door, excited to see him. Noticing the bandages she frowned, and when he explained how hard it had been her frown deepened.

"That bad, huh?" She sighed, setting the food and wine on a table. "I'm glad you were able to get them out, and make it back with them safely. I know you gave that foreman what he deserved, but I wish I could have thrown a few punches at least."

Her eyes flared as she thought about the conditions the children had been in, conditions that the church had allowed the mines to keep them in just for the sake of profit. She looked back at Asran and shook her head with a smile, wanting to move on to a brighter subject.

"I'm glad your message was so scrambled though, it showed a side of you I hadn't seen in a while." They hadn't spent much time alone since the night she kissed his cheek, though they had spent time together before he left. They had gotten quite close as friends, but nothing had happened to take them further. "If I'm being honest, I missed it. Though, I suppose that means I like it when you're exhausted, so that's probably not good..."

She stopped speaking before she could babble herself into a corner she didn't want to be in, and looked away blushing. 'Why am I so nervous?'
"Thank you, Enzo." Receiving her answer about the toast and bananas she walked around Alexandria and started to open the bread, but then Enzo offered pancakes and she reconsidered. "Oh, I'll take some pancakes." She settled for eating a banana while she waited, listening to the conversation around her. A new girl's voice came from the doorway and Ryanne was intrigued by her cool attitude, as it was so similar to the boy from last night. She took two of the pancakes when Enzo set them on the counter, and put just a tiny dab of syrup on them.

"No eggs for me, thanks Mei. Rest, George." She said quietly, letting the dog know he could rest, and he lay down at her feet. She didn't care for scrambled eggs, as it was too easy for her to make a mess with them. She ate daintily so as to avoid getting any syrup or crumbs on herself. When Levi asked her how long she had had George she started a little, not really expecting anyone to talk directly to her.

"George has been with me about four years now. I got him before I was mostly blind, so I know that right now he's looking at me with puppy dog eyes wanting a treat." she said, and in fact George was staring at her with his mouth agape waiting for anything to drop. He was well trained in every aspect, but food was a weakness she had never broken him of. "You can pet him if you want to, since he's resting, just say hi first."

George stood up and looked at Levi, a slack jawed dog-smile on his face. He had heard one of his favorite words, and was waiting on the new guy to come pet him.

"I'm actually going to go exploring with him this morning, see what we can get up to around here. I want to get to know the paths before we get down to training, makes things a little easier." Ryanne said after swallowing the last bite of her pancakes. "These were delicious, Enzo. Thank you."
@Ryonara Are you still here? I've been waiting on you but I can move on...
@Edeul Morralis@Finris Still interested? If so I will post an IC.
I can't really write right now, but Ryanne is gonna snatch some pancakes and probably go exploring the woods and school grounds with George in a bit. She's not joining on the Kappa pool exploration, but she might end up there by accident.
Ryanne jumped when the alarm went off, though she had been awake for some time already. George rolled over and grunted at her side, then sniffed her hand to see if she was awake. She patted him on the head and sighed.

"Time to get up George. Gotta get used to a schedule again." Ryanne was used to getting only four or five hours of sleep at night, though she suspected that would change as her activity level increased with the school's various training programs. Her blindness also lead to insomnia, though she always at least laid in bed between 10 pm and 5 a.m. With a more rigorous schedule she hoped that would change, otherwise it would be a miserable several years for her.

She stood and stretched, taking care to do her morning yoga before getting ready for the day. The stretching released tension she had been unaware of in her shoulders and lower back, making her feel much more awake and ready to tackle the newness of the school grounds. Going to her clothes she selected a nice soft sweatshirt and jeans. Her mother always bought her colors that went with her hair and eyes, so this was a dark blue that made her paling eyes pop brighter. Not that Ryanne cared much, she couldn't see herself anymore. She put on some tennis shoes and brushed her hair into a messy bun at the nape of her neck.

Calling George over, she attached his halter handle and yellow service dog vest to his halter. He licked her face a few times as she did so, which was his way of showing her that the new place wasn't going to change him. In the four years she had had him he had licked her face as many times as he could while she put his halter on, which always earned him a hug and a few treats from his jar. She fished those out of her trunk, throwing them at him and hearing him jump to catch them.

"Good boy." she said, scratching his chin as he came over to her. "Let's get this day started, shall we?"

Heading downstairs to the kitchen she sensed that there were two others already there by their shadows in the kitchen.

"Good morning!" She said brightly, feeling a bit more social after a decent bit of rest. "Could one of you point me to bread, a banana, and the toaster? I don't wanna bother y'all by lookin' for it."
