Three things to address,1. I am lost in all things relating to the military. Do we spend one year's worth of our income on our military, and then that's that and we have no money? Or do we take our income for a year, spend it on the military, and then have another year's worth in our coffers?

1. You know that total amount of money that you calculated? You start with that. Any weapons bought comes out of that initial total.

As far as the rules explain it, when you define military in your nation sheet, ergo before the launch of the IC, you can buy military for "free", meaning you can get as much as you'd like and it is NOT subtracted from your coffers. However, the total cost of your "free" purchases must not exceed a limit equal to your total yearly income. That said, I'd advise caution since upkeep can be quite brutal if you're not prepared for them. When looking at the costs of weapons and equipment, always multiply the listed upkeep value by 4, since it is listed seasonally, but income is generally considered annually. A crossbow really costs 10/20 and not 10/5 in that sense, meaning every year you pay two crossbows on top of the one you own, which is nuts.

Rules said You must first select the fief you will raise your troops from. It costs nothing to call the troops to war, save the men themselves.

Next, you must decide how the troops will be outfitted. You are limited to starting with as many men as you can afford to arm with an annum's supply of bullis, but these bullis are not subtracted from your treasury at the game's start.
Man, time flies. I do some things here and there, procrastinate others, and before I knew it, weeks went by. What I'm trying to say is, I've been both somewhat preoccupied, but also honestly neglecting the RP these last uh, roughly a week or two? And I don't think that that's really okay on my part, but it is what it is. I guess having to wait a week or two for a post from me is almost nothing extraordinary anymore at this point, but here's to hoping I can turn that around one of these days; I really do take too much time on average. That said, I'll get my post up real soon, aiming for tomorrow, possibly early morning.

Edit: Guess it was evening.

Rules said The units of time are as follows: 24 hours to a day, 30 days in a month, 4 months in a season, 4 seasons in an annum. Each round of orders [see below] consists of a season. The seasons are the Waiting, the Working, the Growing, and the Harvesting.

The game will begin in the Waiting Season. For each round, every player must send a list of things they wish to accomplish to the GM via PM,called your Actions. The GM will tell you if these things are capable of being accomplished, but so long as they are within your means, you should be able to accomplish them. These orders may be as simple or ICly elaborate as you desire.

A round of posting is completed when each player has made their orders, and all battles have been resolved, or a week of real-time has passed. Specific units of time are meant to aid in the deliberation of time, and not all units will necessarily come into play.

Incidentially this means a year has 16 months in this world. It's not entirely clear but I assume a season is the same as a round of posting, meaning a season equals a real life week.
Thank you! Hopefully I can keep up with the expectations set forth in the IC. ;P
Huh, no hard feelings man, take it easy. I just meant to say that I disagree with DnD's notion of having a scale that goes from Good to Evil, as I personally would classify every character I've ever made in the Neutral department. While the scale is perfectly appropriate for the setting of Faerun (and most high fantasy realms at that), I am personally in favor of a more subtle approach to character alignment. None of this is of any direct relevance to the RP though, so it's just a slice of personal philosophy.
I don't think very highly of the DnD scale even for characters, since it's too black and white for me. As for nations... well, you can imagine. The people of Almare, depending on their social background, could range anywhere from lawful to chaotic. They, particularly the clans, are very rooted in their ways. Attempts have been made before to persuade them to change their ways, to absolutely no avail. I don't see them changing their culture anytime soon either unless one were to either completely deconstruct their society, by destroying their governing bodies and separating the people, or through potentially centuries of invasive cultural imports.

One way or the other, I would invite you to read the sheet if you'd like to know more. That's, you know, why it's there.

I don't want to sound insulting when I say I didn't want to read a book (on thr contrary, I am pretty envious), but could you tell me what alignment your kingdom is?

And how do you define alignment? I'm going to assume you don't mean the DnD scale of Good-Evil and Lawful Chaotic. Politically, they're reasonably isolationist, but are looking to at least do some trade with nearby people. They are also traditionally in support of the overlord, though that does not necessarily reflect the people's opinion.
Sorry to interrupt your vikinging, but I'd like to post my nation sheet. Worked the last three days straight on it, and have finally completed it. I tried to put industrial amounts of flavor into it to make it as spicy as humanly possible, and I would like to believe that the math is both correct and in perfect accordance with the rules. Admittedly, I did not quadruple check them (one last time before posting), but let's just assume it is functional. All said and done, I present to you:

Edit: I added my preferred map location to the application.
Figured I'd post an update just to let you guys know: I don't typically post WIPs, which is why I haven't submitted one. That said, my sheet is close to being final, with only the royal court needing to be defined. With luck, I can put it up later tonight. I'm excited to see what you guys think, as I put a lot of flavor into it.

EDIT: Would anyone be interested in reading a longer history of Lundland, from during the years when all the lords were seperate, to present day? I could try and incorporate everyone's histories into it as well.

Once every sheet is up, that sounds fantastic, yes.
