Current I enjoy drawing new OCs entirely too much.

Bio

I'm not very complicated. I'm an artist who is always learning something new, and though my art isn't amazing, it's improving, which is a good thing in my book. I'm very social online, so feel free to talk to me. My favorite things are traveling, small town restaurants, and late night diners at 2 AM with my girlfriend. I have the ability to waste $100 in an hour, then make $5 last all week and absolutely zero math skills.

I have a plethora of OCs. A shameful amount even. One for just about any situation that could come up.

Appearance:
Lanky would be a good word to describe her. She has very little figure, and a sinewy muscled form. Her skin is littered with nearing at least a hundred scars from her refusal to wear any type of armor(and clothes). She can't stand tight clothes and usually wears loose or at least fitted clothes that reveal a mass of scars from battles previously won. She isn't particularly pretty, though she has a regal face.

Name: Telasie Banthur
Race: Denar (Elfish)
Age: 39
Gender: Female

Job: Pilot(Can be reworked if necessary)
Weapons: Though she prefers a dagger and her knuckles, she carries an old-world styled plasma pistol. She also keeps her nails sharpened to points, metal plates surgically placed over them.

Abilities: She has an inherent directional talent and fast flying. She's not strong, but she has a wiry-agility based strength that is useful in close combat against larger opponents. She has an unusually high pain tolerance. Lack of morality.

Personality: Vulgar. Bitter. Resentful. She doesn't have a very kind outlook on life, and is incredibly greedy. Her lack of interpersonal skills can often get in the way of her goals. She cares little for the opinion of others and thinks only of her own comfort, most of the time. Still, despite her personality, she's occasionally philosophical and can provide good conversation if she thinks the person is worth talking to.

Bio:
She grew up in an old-world port town on Earth in Northern Britannia, a mass of land once called Europe. It was a cross between traditional transportation on land, with a naval base for sea travel, an air base for minor flight, and a station for space travel. In school, she studied piloting. Her dream had been to pilot an exploration space ship.

Telasie had a regular childhood, but when she turned twenty she settled down with a human man. He only lasted two years before, in a fit of anger, she slit his throat and was locked up for murder. After a lengthy court trial and a lot of favors cashed in, the chargers were dropped to manslaughter and she was released after five years in prison. She took to thieving to pay the bills, until she got in with a group of gangsters who used her piloting skills to get her to smuggle drugs and people between galaxies. She is renown for her speed.

I'm a total sucker for these types of plots, so label me interested.

Excellent, Truth be told, I wanted you to keep using that character as well. ^_^

In regards to the full-on Pirates thing, Don't we all? ...No seriously, I've been wanting to ask that, but I'm evidently not familiar with the interface of this site to know how to make a poll, assuming I can make one. I've been wanting to know if people wanted to be Pirates or Privateers.

Well, While I'm at it: @Haze @Atroposer @Kimmininja @Kessir Tarkin

Pirates, or Privateers? Freedom to be criminals at the cost of making an enemy of the government, or Piracy sponsored by Government backing? Which of these should we be?

Lurking Shadow already made clear that he's neutral in this vote, which is why I'm not asking him.

My little anarchist heart says full blown pirate, but there's something extremely attractive to me about the idea of government funded crime, so that's what I choose.
This sounds incredibly fun.

Thanks for your interest! Glad to see you here :-) I feel similarly, glad to be a bit vindicated since I thought a lot of people would say I was stifling them.

Writing challenges are never stifling, they're stimulating. As a comedy writer, I used to rely heavily on word play until recently. This could be both entertaining and beneficial.

Shhhh First Citizen, Republic* FTW!

The Empire will reign for a thousand years.
Sounds super interesting. I like the notes on Stylism. Usually that's lost in these types of things.

Still though, I'd worry about the raw child mortality rate over everything else. Of course, due to my inherent amazingness I have the innate candidacy to be emperor, which is nice. But useless if I have a 1/3 chance of dying before 5.

Raw child mortality doesn't bother me as much(there's a reason I'll never be a mother) as the lack of sanitation. I am NOT dealing with sponges on sticks. Also, empirical candidacy aside, the real question is what type of emperor? Nero? Caligula? Aurelius? I'm gonna start calling you Emp. Valerius.

Oh dear. Maybe the Vestal Virgins then?

HA! I'd have far too much fun. As happy as a vixen in a hen house, actually.

Ah, well great to meet ye anyhow!

From the short time I visited I can safely say Rome is a beautiful city, although I concur that I'd rather not face those mortality rates lol.

Likewise, not only am I a woman, but I'm sapphic, so Rome would be a terrible place for me. But yes, when I went it was an interesting blend of preserving history and trying to move on from it. Best trip of my life, just about.
