I'm not very complicated. I'm an artist who is always learning something new, and though my art isn't amazing, it's improving, which is a good thing in my book. I'm very social online, so feel free to talk to me. My favorite things are traveling, small town restaurants, and late night diners at 2 AM with my girlfriend. I have the ability to waste $100 in an hour, then make $5 last all week and absolutely zero math skills.

I have a plethora of OCs. A shameful amount even. One for just about any situation that could come up.

As the announcement began Marabel was beginning to calm down from her momentary panic. She took a deep breath and leaned against a wall, tucking a stray deadlock behind her ear and observing her fellow student. They were a diverse group, for certain. She'd never seen so many different types of people in one place, and such bright characters. Each of them stood out to her; each unique with their own strange sort of defining feature. It was interesting to watch them interact. Especially from a side line point of view.

The promise of breakfast was more exciting than she'd like to admit. The thought of it made her belly grumble in anticipation. Her mouth twisted in embarrassment and she looked anywhere but at someone.

"Wait, we're goin' to be using our powers on teachers?" Marabel muttered, then grimaced oddly. "I've come full circle." She zipped up her jacket and shoved her hands in her pockets, but stayed at her place against the wall. She'd let everyone else exit first so that she wouldn't get trampled. She didn't need a repeat of the last day of school in previous years.
Sorry for delay in my post! Had a bit of a busy two weeks!
@The Jest Sorry for holding y'all up, I'm gonna have to pull back from this one. Real sorry!
Talking to birds had always been a pass time, but now it seemed to occupy most of her waking hour. She had just recently moved to this new city, and she was still getting her bearings. Her parents separated after a tumultuous 18 years since they adopted her, so as soon as the divorce was finalized, her adoptive mother arranged for her to live in this new city.

Previously, she hadn't really travelled. The farthest she had been was a five hour car ride to the Cheasepeake Bay. Now, she was in a new climate, new state, and enrolling for yet another senior year of high school. She'd technically graduated from Andrew Lewis High two years ago, but in an effort to make connections with peers, she decided to have her true mother alter her records just a tad, so that this year, so she would graduate from the high school here.

Helena let out a lengthy sigh as she walked to the wide window of her apartment. She had picked up a part time job, but her adoptive parents were paying for nearly all of her expenses, despite her insistence that they need not to. She knew they feared Hera's wrath, should they displease her.

A chirping pigeon perched on her window planeter, tapping lightly at the glass with its beak.

"Ah. Hello, there." She opened he window and let the bird in. She listened to the intent chirps and coos of the pigeon before giving her answer. "I see. Many direct sons and daughters... maybe one of them... are they friendly?" Helena scratched her wrist out of habit. "Could you scope the city once more and find names and heritage?" Helena asked, then smiled when she received an affirmative coo. She placed a small dish of bread crumbs on the table for the pigeon to eat.

A few more birds of different size and feather flew in and gathered on the dining table, relating gossip and helpful information about the layout of the city, where to find what, who could possibly be friendly towards her. She nearly jumped out of her shoes as a large condor flew through her window and frightened all of the other birds away. Helena gave it a gentle smile and busied herself with enrollment papers as the condor perched on her shoulder and watched with an observant eye.
I'll have my post up sometime tomorrow !
I'm not entirely sure how exactly to begin.

Frightened. Frightened was the right word. One moment it was quiet, then the next moment it seemed mild chaos happened. Someone was cuddling up next to someone else, someone was smoking, someone had an actual sword, which just seemed completely wild to her. Guns and knives were commonplace. Swords? Strange and unusual. Still, she knew she was panicking by the fact her breaths were short and quick. She took a moment to calm down before steeling herself and turning to the person who had recently awoken and begun taking out... a bunch of waters and some sort of protein snack. She opened her mouth to say something, but a shocked squeak came out of her mouth instead when the person actually smiled and looked at her before she said something. She quickly looked away, red in the face, a little teary eyed, beyond feeling out of place.

"Damn you, Debra Thompson." She muttered in the lightest, quietest voice possible. Debra had been her caseworker after her 'incident'. "This is not better than the girl's home. This is terrifying." Her eyes shut carefully for a moment as she squashed the beginning of panic once more. Realistically, she was beyond fortunate for the opportunity of education in any form. A girl in her social class didn't often get such a chance. But these people were scary. Polite, maybe, but that smile was sudden and she would just blame it on the fact she didn't get smiled at too often. She wasn't the type of girl people smiled at. Especially not cute boys. Those never smiled at her. Be it fear of rumors, or the off-putting stare she had, the kind smile was new and shook her up more than it ought to have.

Tes's shoulders stiffened and she was suddenly standing much taller with discomfort. As quickly as the nervousness showed on her face, it was gone, replaced by her signature lazy smile. She clamped a hand down on Demitrius's shoulder, but she looked fondly at Eun.

"I'm fine. I tend to get that look on my face occasional, 'happens whenever I pop my back." Tes winked at the much shorter girl and gave a little sly grin. "Let's head out. I'm dying to taste the Regas home cooking." She admitted. Her eyes, still partially shaded by the sunglasses, drifted back to where Circe had disappeared to. Her warning settled uneasily in her stomach but she ignored it. Surely it was only benevolence the gods held when invoked for the right reasons. A sacrifice was made. Something was claimed. Invoking was just like a business transaction. Nothing more. Right?

Still... Tes clicked her tongue a bit unhappily as her easy grin faltered for a moment. She shook her head, mostly to clear her thoughts. "Let's split. We're starting a crowd. Lead the way, Dem'." Tes jerked her thumb in the direction of a few American tourists who had spotted the witch and the tiny gathering.
@AtomicNut Okay but I love you because I was going to start foreshadowing in a couple more replies, once everyone was a bit closer, but Circe legit just started it. 11/10.
@Tenma Tendo Eun is adorable. Whenever I picture her interacting with Tes I giggle internally. The height difference alone..
