It’s also ancient. That means maybe dated, at least in some ways. Scanning its innards for life was probably far from a primary function.

I anticipated some kind of issue. Otherwise we wouldn’t be here. The nature of the place makes me think it would have been something very dangerous, but maybe it was just some hiccup in antiquated old gadgetry?
