Hello and Goodbye [walk-in]

Talasyn's shoulders hugged her neck and her hands pressed against the pipe with an urgency. She was now sure she wasn't seeing things, and it was a person. She shifted her feet, ready to run should this stranger decide to attack. Talasyn pulled the pipe close to her, rearing back her shoulder and preparing to fight. "What do you want...?" Talasyn sputtered, her voice shaking. Her tone was deep, and it was obvious that she was trying to appear unafraid.

I've wondered about this for a while.

Do people read role plays that they are not in?

If i'm bored I like to read through other people's roleplays. I also do it occasionally to see how other people's skills at roleplaying are. Usually I do it just to better my own abilities.

As the darkness overpowered the stars and swallowed the moonbeams Talasyn did her best to sneak through the abandoned neighborhood. She was tired, but couldn't rest, and she had to find somewhere to go - somewhere to regain her strength. She did her best to sneak past the small cluster of zombies mulling around in the middle of the street, probably fixed on a squirrel or something. She presses her back against the dumpster bin for cover and pulled the pipe out of her backpack, just in case she would need it. Just before she was ready to break for the other side of the road, she was startled by a thump a few yards away, like someone banging on sheet metal. Talasyn braced herself and slowly peaked out from behind the dumpster to see a young man sprinting across the street. For a second, she doubted her own eyes, figuring she was hallucinating from a lack of sleep.

Appearance- 5'1 in height, 116 Lb., she has very short red hair and her face is dotted with freckles. Her eyes are brown. She wears a navy blue and black striped long-sleeve and a jean mini skirt over black leggings.

We are living in the midst of the zombie apocalypse. Many have died, many have suffered, few survive.

Though this is a free RP, I have a couple guidelines here to keep everything running smoothly:
- post often, maybe two or three times a day. This roleplay will be fast moving
- general rules for roleplaying still apply; no godmodding or killing another player without permission
- if you wish to drop the roleplay, please say so in OOC so that other players know they are free to kill your character at any time
- each player can have only 1 character

"My Backpack" will list all of the items your character starts out with. Try to limit yourself to three or four items, but you can have more if you choose.
"Appearance" can be a written description or a picture, though written is preferred.
Your character does not need to be approved before you can join, simply post your character's profile and you're free to jump right in. The story takes place in an average town. There is a hospital, mall, schools, apartments and such. The town get's all kind of weather and there is a forest to the northwest.
